Space-Space Fruit in One Piece

After Ava's voice resounded from the inside, telling them that they could enter, Eren opened the door slowly. He took a few steps into the room, but felt pretty awkward. He was never good at breaking bad news.

"Heyyyy, so we already got you harp." Eren said, surprising Ava a bit. They had been extremely fast.

"There's just one problem. I don't know why, but it's somewhat broken." Eren said with a hint of shame. Though he was not responsible, he still felt really bad for her.

Seeing that Ava's mood seemed to take a turn for the worse again, he quickly tried to comfort her. "Don't worry, the body is still complete. Its just that some strings are broken, but we can probably fix that soon."

Eren tried his best to put a smile on his face.

"Don't worry, it already broke when Paolo took over the island. On that day he had his henchmen just vandalize the island for no apparent reason. It seemed like they had probably just suffered a loss or something." Ava explained that she already knew the reason for the instrument's current state.

"I guess I just somehow hoped that it would be fixed again, now that the island has returned to its old state. Its not that bad though. Due to my lineage I've never been one to turn really sad, even when some depressing things happen. Can you just bring it in please?"

Eren immediately signaled Enel, who stood in front of the door, to bring in the harp. He was lucky, and even though it was pretty huge, it managed to barely fit through the doorway.

Seeing the item, Ava immediately started smiling. Though it was not the largest smile ever, she at least seemed happier than before. She walked towards it right away and started caressing the beautiful arc.

She was just about to play the remaining string, when something weird happened.

She stopped moving completely, her posture straightened and her hair seemed to glow brighter all of a sudden. The whole air surrounding her changed, and she suddenly seemed much more extraordinary.

While she still looked normal, she felt extremely special for some reason, though Eren couldn't tell why. 'Could it be...'

"Is everything okay, Ava?" Enel asked her with a bit of worry. She had suddenly stopped moving and such a profound change happened. Maybe there was something wrong with her?

At those words she turned around. Her face had also changed a bit. Her eyebrows were fuller and her brown eyes seemed to be glowing. Though they were slightly moist. Almost as if she was about to cry.

"Y-Yeah. Everything is more t-than good. Its just..." Ava thought for a moment before continuing. "For some reason I feel like I have just awakened my talent." While saying those words she seemed extremely unsure, almost as if she didn't think it could be possible.

But Eren quickly reinforced her belief. "I think so too, the whole air about you has just changed. Even you looks have improved a bit. Not that you were ugly before or anything."

Ava seemingly didn't hear the last remark, as she was still lost in thought.

"But that can't be. I've already used this harp countless times before and nothing has ever happened. At the same time all the signs are there. All of my senses have improved dramatically, and I feel like my hands are more dexterous. I also feel slightly stronger already."

"Maybe its because of the missing strings." Enel suggested. "It is a completely different instrument now, so it might be that you have the talent for this one-string kind of music."

Eren also looked at the harp more closely, feeling like Enel's guess might be true. Until he noticed something else.

"Doesn't it kind of look like a bow now?" Eren suddenly asked, after looking at the destroyed instrument for some time. "It has the curved body with the single string and looks like it would be able to fire an arrow. My guess might not be too far off."

Enel also decided that it was worth a try, so he immediately conjured an arrow made of pure gold from his staff. At the same time Eren teleported the three of them and the harp onto the deck.

In the heat of the moment he hadn't noticed that he wanted to refrain from using this ability. Luckily Ava's head was too occupied with other thoughts as well.

"Why don't you aim for Enel's head?" Eren suggested with a small grin. "Don't worry, he can take it. He's strong after all."

While Enel seemed a bit offended, he moved a few meters away from them nonetheless. He would elementalize as soon as he was hit anyways.

Ava was also too happy to care, and instead cocked the arrow onto the string of the harp. While the large instrument made it hard to aim, she still managed to push it into the general direction of Enel.

As soon as the arrow was on the string, she pulled it back as far as possible and her whole aura changed. It felt like she was a deadly beast, ready to pounce onto its prey immediately, and Eren even felt that she might be a danger to him. If he was still an 8-year-old without his Celestial Fruit that is.

Ava calmed down her breathing and entered a state of extreme focus, not noticing anything that happened around her. She held the string in that way for a few seconds, adjusting her aim, before suddenly releasing it.

Due to the harp not really being a bow, its path was somewhat crooked and the arrow was slow, but it managed to hit its target nonetheless and pierced right through Enel's head.

"Ahhh, I killed him. I thought you said that he could take it." Ava suddenly screamed. She was not ready to take a life today. She looked towards Enel in worry, but when she noticed that the whole in his head had already closed again, she turned confused.

"What happened?" She asked Enel. She was relieved and curious at the same time, knowing that she had not just killed her vice-captain.

"Its just my Devil Fruit. You probably know what they are,since Paolo used one. I have the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, that allows me to freely control lightning and even turn into it. I'm basically immune to physical attacks as long as my opponent doesn't know Haki."

This explanation was both confusing and enlightening to Ava. While she knew what Devil Fruits were from her mom, she didn't know that such weird ones existed. She had also never heard of Haki, but chose to ignore that issue at the moment.

Right now she just wanted to celebrate the awakening of her talent.

The events of the current day had been too much for her until now, causing her to not have her emotions under control. At first she was happy, then hopeful, then sad, and finally extremely excited again. Usually she was much more reserved and quiet, but today she let out her entire personality.

"Let's celebrate!" She said to Eren and immediately went to search for the alcohol on board. But she was just as fast to be disappointed, as Eren and Wyper had already drunken the entire beer they got on Jaya island.

Enel still hadn't gotten used to the taste, and swore that he would never in his entire life touch the drink again.

Eren immediately realized that he would need to stock up their rations, so he made his way towards Paolo's palace and brought back several barrels of beer he found in the basement. After opening the first one, he immediately realized that they were of a very high quality.

The entire crew, except for the still unconscious Wyper, brought a few of the cheaper barrels to the town, where a banquet had already started a few minutes earlier. The town had looted Paolo's food supplies, and were now celebrating their new-found freedom.

After they recognized Eren and Enel as their saviors, the party quickly erupted into cheers, drinking and singing even happier than before.

Both Eren and Ava got drunk while drinking their own supplies. Enel on the other hand was already knocked out, after he had discovered his new favorite drink a few hours earlier - Sake. While still containing alcohol, it didn't tast as rancid as beer. Is what he said before getting completely hammered.

Deep into the night, when the town had quitened down due to most villagers getting unconscious, Ava and Eren had an honest conversation.

"Captain, I-I really would like- like to th-th-thank you for your help. Without you I would have neeever discovered my ability." Ava said, jumbling her words due to being intoxicated.

Eren just smiled at her. He knew that she would have discovered the destroyed harp on her own eventually. And while it might have taken some time for her to find out that it was in fact not an instrument but a bow, she would have discovered it eventually.

Ava continued speaking, but for some reason her voice turned a bit depressed.

"Howeve-ever, I feel like my abibility is not that useful. After all a b-bow doesn't have as mumuch range as a rifle or a gun. Ther's also the fact tha-that its hard to find a high quality bow. Its not a po-po-popular weapon after all."

Hearing her worries, Eren simply waved them off. "Don't worry about the range. Your bow works perfectly, if we combine it with my fruits ability. Especially when I unlock a few others later on. I can't tell you about them now though." Eren said while winking.

When drinking, he always had the urge to tell someone about his secrets, but luckily he was able to hold back. Probably due to unlocking Conqueror's Haki and his higher physical strength.

"The bow also won't be a problem. For now we can go visit an island called Amazon Lily. All of its inhabitants use bows, so they should have some pretty decent ones. I also have something else in mind later down the line, but that will have to wait until we're much stronger." Eren said while grinning.

In his opinion the ultimate bow would have a body made of Adam's Oak tree. Such a small amount wouldn't be hard to get. It's just that it would need immense strength to even use it. For the string he also had a plan. He wanted to acquire the tendons of a certain dragon. But that would need to wait until he could confront him.

'Only the best for my crew.' He though with a smirk.

Ava on the other hand was extremely emotional, even tearing up slightly, which was not common, as she was used to hiding her emotions. It was in her lineage after all.

No Ava A. Rich was ever especially emotional or passionate about something until they unlocked their talent. Since Ava had just achieved that yesterday, she would still need to practice how being a normal human felt.

After this small interruption, they continued to drink happily. The party lasted for two whole days, until they were suddenly interrupted by a loud scream.

"AAHHHHHH"
