6 August, 2013. 5:30.

New York, Queens.

The Parker house. The bedroom formerly belonging to Peter Parker is currently owned by Delia Parker.

The Red Widow.

I woke up feeling an unprecedented sweet languor throughout my body. Immediately, memories of the night before began to flash through my mind. After turning my head, I saw Peter sleeping soundly.

He's so cute when he sleeps.

A smile crept across my face.

Giving in to the moment, I quickly kissed my genetic progenitor on the lips and waited with some inner trepidation to see if he would wake up or not.

The brown-haired man's chest continued to heave. He didn't wake up.

I carefully get up and open the wardrobe, pulling out my spider suit.

I think I should get some air.

***

At the same time.

Secret HYDRA base. Location is classified.

The metal flaps of the door mechanism slid aside, allowing a group of men in black and green uniforms to enter the room. They were led by a woman in a tight leather suit - Madame Hydra.

Upon reaching the flying machine, the group stopped.

- 'Madam,' a middle-aged soldier called out.

- Captain Kirk,' the brunette nodded. - What's the situation?

- There are no logistical problems, ma'am, our training centres are working as usual, since most of the agents we recruit are descendants of our organisation's members or those who have been carefully influenced since their first days at the Shield Academy, we're practically invisible," the short-haired red-headed guy reported.

- Excellent," the woman walked beside the captain, "and our science department?

- Scattered in secret mini labs. Three in New York and the suburbs, six on the entire East Coast.

- Undercover, inoculation labs?

- Under a common concern," the man nods.

- Excellent. SWAT ready?

- Just waiting for your command.

- Excellent," the green-eyed villainess smiled. - Tonight's the night.

***

Three hours later.

Queens, Jess's bedroom.

Peter Parker.

In my condition, waking up should be abrupt, jerky, quick, but I only slowly unclench my eyes.

Realising where I am, I turn around and put my face back on the pillow, smiling slightly.

Everything has changed.

Frankly, it's amazing, Bearer, though I'm not sure how much of that definition applies to you now," the Clintarian said with a small chuckle.

Yes, brother, I agree, now that is a question of myriad things to ponder further," I put my palms under the pillow and turned on my back. - I'll have to digest the superficial knowledge of so many alien languages for at least a month.

You don't have to worry about that, Pete, all my knowledge is available to you now, if you just think about it.

I agree, it's a staggering prospect.

We'll be quiet for a while.

How are you doing, brother, after discovering what you know about me? - I ask the symbiote the question that's been on my mind.

Do you mean that you were reborn and we are actually in someone's once invented world of comic books, and I and all other creatures of this multiverse were invented? - The symbiote spoke in a neutral tone, as I thought he had.

Though he was probably always in my head now.

Yeah, that's about it.

My perception of everything around me hasn't really changed much," Raj said thoughtfully. - I guess you could call it... moving forward. I mean, yeah, maybe our world isn't real. To some people. But it's real to us. Challenges and adventures, joys and sorrows, choices and consequences, family and love. It's all real for us, and I'm totally fine with that," Raj said with a range of maximally positive emotions.

Well, I'm happy to hear that, brother," I answered the man who was now literally a part of me with a smile in my voice. - You have no idea how nice it is to know that at least someone knows everything about me, and with whom I can discuss it," I turned around in one motion and put my hands under my head, looking up at the ceiling. - It's especially nice to know that someone is you, brother.

I'm happy you trusted me, Peter, it's really important to me to always have your back. Now we can always face the threats that come and face them together.

You mean the clicks?

Not only that. Although the fact that I've also entered into symbiosis with our Sense can be quite useful. It was also quite amusing to see pictures of your memories relating to my exact words. "You and I will fuse together and become an invincible force," Raj murmured with a smile.

"Thank you, but no, and here's some music for you and your accomplice, turn up the speakers!" - I maintain a humorous dialogue with the alien, based on a memory of a rather good Spiderman cartoon from the past.

Quite a funny picture of alternative events, Bearer, and yet, it seems to me that animals ruling over humans in the world of the Supreme Evolutionary is a bit too much, - the symbiote shares his thoughts with me.

There's a point. I remember back in my life when I came across a review, in which it was amusingly enough pointed out that the plot with animals should have been stretched to a maximum of an arc, but it was stretched to a whole cartoon. And, by the way, not the Supreme Evolutionary, but the Supreme Intelligence!

But you know that's a translation error.

I have no time to continue my conversation with my, now quite official, schizo, as I hear the sound of the window frame being lifted.

I lifted myself up on the bed and looked out the window, where Delia had climbed in her burgundy suit.

- Hi," my sister said, taking off her mask and smiling brightly, "did I wake you up?

- No, not at all," I sit down on the bed and beckon the girl with my finger, "come here.

In response, the shade's smile becomes only brighter and Del, moving seductively, approaches the bed.

- How are you after last night? - I ask, starting to run my fingers through my sister's hair.

- Great," the girl replies in an excited voice, starting to caress my hand. - And I wouldn't mind doing it again.

- Maybe someday, beautiful," I move my palm to my clone's neck in the next movement and lightly choke her. - I hope you remember our terms from last night, sister?

- Every single letter," Del looks at me with devotion and adoration.

- 'That's a good girl,' I kiss Delia as a reward.

I don't let the fiery dance of our tongues and a deep kiss grow into something more, pushing the twin away.

- How's patrol? - I'm on to more pressing matters.

- Standard, minimal crime," Del said, leaning back on the bed. - It's pretty routine for early morning.

- Ben and Cain?

- Neither of them were home today," the brown-haired woman says thoughtfully.

On the one hand that's good, no witnesses, but on the other hand, where did my brothers go?

- Okay, good fun, - I get up from the bed and stretch, - but I have to go home, I'm sure the girls are not sure where I spent the night.

The circumstances of the night I spent don't exactly jolt my conscience. Still, sex with Del is a special occasion.

Besides, the way she's eyeing me is very sweet and flattering.

- I'm going to go make breakfast," she says, blushing as soon as I notice her staring at my body.

In response, I only grin as the twin jumps out of the room.

You know, Pete, after last night, your genetic duplicate may well have offspring," my partner said thoughtfully.

That's an interesting thought, Raj, but where did it come from? - I wondered genuinely.

I've become a complete and inseparable part of your organism, Peter, and now I can say with certainty that your genetic material is very powerful, directly created for reproduction.

You know, if you weren't part of me. Literally. I'd feel a little uncomfortable with that assessment. Oh, by the way.

I raise my hand and mentally give the command.

The symbiotic material seeps out of my skin and hardens, forming a sort of spike-blade. And the most amazing thing is that it feels like a second skin, completely under my control, resilient, still alien, but skin.

I put aside the multidirectional thoughts of how all this can now be used for later.

I pull out my phone. A few missed calls from Mary and Fey. After texting that I've spent the night in Queens and will be there soon, I go to breakfast.

In the kitchen, Del is cooking breakfast on the cooker with true mastery and looking so homey and magical. Call me sexist or worse, but a woman who can cook is a treasure.

I sit down at the table and Del hands me coffee and toast.

- Scrambled eggs and bacon will be ready soon," my sister smiles at me.

- Thank you, Delia, you're a treasure," I kiss the twin and she returns to the cooker glowing.

While the point is being made, I write to Fey, wondering if they are preparing for the crumpled move? Kitten's reply pleased me with the information that they are looking at what things to take and what things to leave and are waiting for me to do the job.

- 'Enjoy,' Delia wishes, placing a plate of food in front of me while I scribble a return message to my girlfriend.

- You too, Del.

Let's get to the meal.

*

After breakfast, I decided to waste no time and opened a portal straight to the bathroom of my flat. There was no one in the room, so I didn't scare anyone by showing up. Thank God for that.

- Hello," I said into the room, opening the bathroom door.

- Tiger? - surprised Mary, who was sitting on the couch. - How did you do that? Did you use the magic ring? - With a waggle of her eyebrows, my favourite asked.

- And I can't hide anything from you," I smiled, showing the double ring in my hand.

I came up to Carrot-top and, leaning on the sofa, kissed the girl, who was slightly taken aback by my pressure.

- I missed you so much," I said, breaking our kiss and swooping over the couch to sit next to the green-eyed girl.

- Me too, Tigger, but we haven't seen each other for a little while," the redhead replies with a little bewilderment.

I only touch Watson's cheek in response.

- I'm sorry, MJ," I say, pressing my lips together slightly. - I shouldn't have yelled at you during the conversation yesterday," I breathe out. - You had every right to be angry, I actually caused trouble in our corner of paradise.

- I'm not angry, Peter," Mary puts her palm over my hand as well. - Your job is risky, I know, I just didn't want to look like the crystal doll you and Fey are protecting, like I'm useless and incapable of doing anything.

- Carrot-top, you're--

- Pregnant, I know," she exhales. - And, understandably, I'm not going to get involved in anything, just, if something important is going on, don't be afraid to tell me. You know I'm a tough girl, I can take it," the emerald-eyed, freckled goddess winks at me.

- You know, I've said it dozens or even hundreds of times, but I don't get bored," I put my arm around the girl's waist and moved my other hand to the back of her head. - You can't even imagine how much I love you and how lucky I am that our lives are intertwined, Mary Jane," I said, kissing the love of my life.

- I'm a real lucky girl myself, Tiger," Carrot-top smiled brightly and wrapped her arms around my neck. - You're unusually emotional, though, is it something wrong or just a good mood?

- Mood mostly, - I tuck one of the loose curls behind the cute pinkish ear, - can't my male nature just reach for the mother of my future child, wanting to give her maximum love and tenderness? - I add with a smile.

- Have you heard, little one, how Daddy loves us? - MJ cooed, touching her belly lovingly.

- May I? - I pointed to the spot where new life was being born.

- You don't have to ask," Mary Jane rolled her eyes and smiled, taking my palm and placing it on her belly.

It's too early to tell if I felt anything yet, it's not due yet, the foetus isn't ripe. Still, the sensation was quite unusual.

We sat like that until the sound of the front door opening.

- There's our hero," Felicia said with a sly smile, walking into the flat.

- Hi, Kitten," I got up from the couch and approached the blonde, pulling her to me by the waist and kissing her passionately on the lips.

- Wow, Spidey, you're so assertive today," the superheroine thief said with a lust-fogged look. - What's wrong with our boy? - Fey asks, tilting her head slightly towards MJ.

- He says he's in a good mood," the green-eyed girl replied with a smile.

- I'm still here," I slap Felicia on her firm bottom. - And you can ask questions directly," I said, moving my other palm to the back of Kitten's head, starting to wind her hair lightly around her wrist.

- I don't know why you're being so playful, but don't stop," Hardy said excitedly, and when I pulled her head back a little, the languid voice turned into an unrestrained moan.

- As much as I'd like to keep going," I tease Fey, catching her lips and then stopping the quick kisses, "but we have a job to do, you'll have to wait, Kitten," I move away from the girl.

- You tease like that and you'll get it, Spidey," the blonde replied with angry disappointment.

I only wink in response, and Mary giggles.

- You're mean," the cat sighs. - Okay, I sent Jasper to get the car. We're not going to have much stuff, are we?

- Your clothes, a couple of my T-shirts and trousers, just in case, anything else? - I turn to Mary.

- Let's get this sorted out," MJ rose from the couch with the fighting attitude of a true home keeper and began to look around the flat.

I'm guessing it's gonna be more than just a couple of boxes.

*

Your hunch was right, Carrier," Raj said as we carried the last box up to the top of the twentieth floor. Good thing there's a lift.

What can I say, Raj, it's a good thing Mary didn't insist on moving our bed up here," I grinned, answering the Clintaran.

Still, your female has shown a remarkable sense of...attachment to ordinary objects.

It's hormones," I said with a chuckle, remembering how MJ had almost cried and made an emotional speech about how good the three of us were in this bed.

Kitten calmed the pregnant tigress down with the promise that her Penthouse bed was just as good.

- Why are we laughing? - asks Felicia, coming in after me.

- Nothing much," I take the burden from the girl's hands, hugging my partner around the waist. - I just remembered how emotional our girl was about the move.

- And it's not funny," Fey flicked me on the nose with a smile on her face in contrast to her serious tone. - Remember, Mary isn't a crybaby, it's hormones.

- 'Yes I remember,' I reply to Hardy, letting the girl go and leaving the box on the floor.

I watch as my favourite woman stretches, standing up on her toes and raising her arms, seductively showing off all her prominent curves.

I move closer to the blonde, wrapping my arm around her flat tummy and pulling her back to my torso, resting my cheek on the top of Cat's head.

In response, Fey only raises her eyes to me and smiles. Curving her blonde head, the blue-eyed girl brings our lips together and we merge in a surprisingly soft kiss.

Felicia turns her whole body towards me and I feel the pleasant pressure of her prominent breasts. In return, I place my palm on my girl's waist, and she wraps her arms around my neck.

- I love you, Kitten," I say, stroking the blonde's cheek as our kiss naturally ends.

- And I you, Peter," the blue-eyed nymph smiles brightly at me, as proof, rubbing her nose against my neck and biting down lightly, leaving a hickey.

Yes, Fey has always been assertive in that respect. If I like to leave my marks on Mary, Felicia's teeth always mark me.

- The kitchen is wonderful, Felicia," MJ interrupted us as she opened the door from the adjoining room to the hall.

- And there are two floors, three bedrooms, a pantry, and two bathrooms," Fey said in a satisfied tone, pulling away from my neck but still in a tight embrace.

- Great," Mary Jane's emerald eyes sparkle.

Carrot comes over to us, integrating smoothly into the family hug.

Oh, I wish I could marry both my girls at once.

Maybe I should change religions. Although New York state law is still on the books.

- You know, Tiger, you may have made a mess of things with HYDRA, but I'm sure we'll get through it," says the redhead in an optimistic tone, looking around Felicia's apartment.

- I agree," Kitten nods her head in agreement.

I don't say anything in response, just savouring the warmth of my girls' bodies and breathing in their scent.

- Pete? - Fey turns to me, arching an eyebrow.

Shedding the strange enveloping obsession.

- Yes, Kitten, something's on my mind," I rub the back of my head awkwardly and smile idly.

- I'm thinking about testing my bed. - The blonde said conspiratorially, approaching Mary. - I assure you, it's very comfortable, and the three of us will fit in it," Felicia puts her arm around MJ's waist, resting her head on her shoulder. - So what do you say, Spidey?

The girls look at me with such longing that there can only be one answer.

- Kitten, you might not have asked....

However, my playful retort is interrupted by the loud ringtone of Felicia's phone.

Hardy explodes quietly and pulls out his mobile phone.

- 'It's Mum{?}[Oh those mother-in-laws],' Cat sighs, answering the call, 'isn't it?

Fey goes to the window, and Mary and I start checking the boxes, now that the moment has been ruined.

- I've been called into the office urgently," Felicia announced in an apologetic tone, having finished on the phone. - Mum said if I don't sort things out with that bloody lawyer, no holiday.

- We understand, Kitten," Mary spoke in a loving tone to our girl, seeing that Fey was really upset.

- It's okay, really,' MJ encouraged the endeavour. - We'll be here when you get back.

- Love you," Cat hugs us. - I'll try to get back as soon as I can, really.

We just nod understandingly.

- So, what do we do now? - I turn to Mary Jane after Felicia's gone to take care of some urgent business.

- Why don't we start by unpacking and then we'll see? - With a finger to her lips, Carrot-top suggests.

- Let's do it, love.

*

Throughout the day we smoothly transformed Felicia's almost unused apartment into a family nest, bringing in the cosiness of our family knick-knacks: the girls' sleeping shirts, soft toys we'd all won together at Coney Island, plaids or macramé sets bought in Ikea, fridge magnets with our photos together, and other little things.

Then we made plans to prepare dinner for Kitten's arrival and in the process of preparing an Italian dinner, with breaks for kisses and cuddles, I abruptly froze.

I had a vision.

As if I am right now entering the flat in my leather jacket, and immediately HYDRA agents burst into the room, pack me up, and then it's unclear....

I shake my head from side to side, shaking off the obsession.

It's funny, the visions used to be more...painful and less realistic.

- Peter, are you okay? - The concerned voice of my red-haired vixen pulls me out of my thoughts.

I turn and look into the emerald pools of worry.

- It's okay, Carrot-top," I step close to Mary Jane and put my arm around her waist, looking into her eyes. - I had a vision, HYDRA is about to make a move, it's time to say goodbye," I hope that didn't sound too ominous.

No, judging by Watson's frightened look, it didn't sound too ominous.

- I mean, it'll be okay, I'll talk to these guys real quick, maybe even text them from wherever they're taking me," I tried to outline my plan with a laugh, to relax the redhead a little.

It's working.

- Are you sure you're going to be okay, Tiger? - MJ, looking into my eyes and hugging me tightly, clearly not wanting to let go.

- Nothing in this world is going to stop me from coming back to you, Mary Jane," I reply confidently to the mother of my unborn child.

- Good," the girl exhales, "be careful," Mary lifts up on her toes and kisses me on the lips. - I love you.

- And I love you.

We hug, and after another goodbye kiss, I walk out of the apartment.

Teleporting, much less flying home in my spider outfit, is stupid, so I have to get home like a normal person for the first time in a long time.

It's kind of fun.

Raj, about the vision, why was it different from the usual clicks? - I turned to my travelling companion on the way down to the underground.

Actually, it was a normal click, Peter, it's just that I took on the main mental prod to keep you out of the way, that shock-focusing charge on the vision," the symbiote began to explain. - And also tried to provide more immersion. Did it work?

Absolutely, brother, it was like I was in a VR 3D first-person shooter. It was almost indistinguishable from reality," I explain to Raj.

Almost? - asks the alien.

The clicks are extremely realistic, but they don't feel real. More like transparent probabilities," I said.

I see.

I wait for the train and get into the carriage that will take me to the North Central district.

By the way, Raj, why do you ask, isn't your vision the same for you as it is for me?

Not exactly," the symbiote mewled. - Our strengthened bond has forever defined me as a part of you, Peter, but I have not become our brain, only more firmly connected to it.

I'm actually curious," I swayed a little in the underground carriage, "and when the Sense goes off, do you get a ringing in your head, too?

I don't know, Pete, we've never met a threat that would trigger the Sense.

That's right," I nod.

Twenty minutes of travelling on the underground and listening to upbeat rock, rarely changing to rap and pop, in my drops.

Then getting off the underground, and a measured walk to my flat.

The usual street sneakers, blue jeans, a light grey T-shirt with a white collar and a brown leather jacket that once belonged to Uncle Ben.

It was a cool summer in New York.

I walk home, mentally debating my upcoming actions with my tentacle-shaped schizo.

As soon as I stop and put my hand to the doorknob, Spidey's sensitivity buzzes warningly.

Are we ready, brother?

Always on the lookout, Bearer," Raj replies cockily.

I smirk and step inside.

The flat is dark, and only the glow from the streetlights provides visibility. It's no problem for my night vision, though. Without turning on the lights, I take literally two steps into the living room.

And at the same moment, a full-blown takeover operation begins. From five directions the special forces burst into the flat.

It's the windows that hurt the most, those bastards took out three frames.

- Mr Parker, you're coming with us," announced a SWAT officer in a helmet with red lenses and a HYDRA patch on his left shoulder, "please don't resist and turn around with your hands behind your back.

Honestly, the confident, fully in control voice of this request-order made me want to laugh and release symbiotic pointy tendrils in all directions, nailing seven soldiers to the walls, which I would in addition to provide them with additional holes in their bodies. Incompatible with life.

But that's not in the script.

- I understand, but please don't kill me," I said in as confused and frightened a voice as possible, folding my hands behind my back.

One of the fighters standing to my left snorted at my reaction.

Got it, we'll remember you.

- We've got the target, go, go, go, go," the squad leader spoke into the comms device, and I was pulled upwards.

Alas, I couldn't see anything because I had a bag over my head, but I could feel that we were in the air.

Literally in a matter of seconds we find ourselves in a helicopter. The noise of the blades informs us that it belongs to the class of transport.

The transport with fighters and valuable cargo, in the form of me, on board began to move, judging by the clues of my ability to orientate, to the North.

Ten minutes later we were out of New York City.

The chopper passed the Bay Area and headed somewhere in the direction of the suburbs.

After about another twenty minutes or so, we began to descend.

As soon as the transport stopped and the engines shut off, I was, quite carefully, guided.

I was informed about the place of my stay only by the smell of wood, metal, the clang of opening doors and other sounds and smells.

Once again there was a clanking of the opening mechanism and my person was led into a certain room.

And, as it happened, the bag was pulled off my beautiful face.

After blinking, I finally managed to look around.

Actually, there was no particularly valuable information: a standard grey interrogation room, blue-white light of a cold lamp and a few frowning soldiers standing at the door.

Oh, I forgot, I'm handcuffed to a metal table. Now, definitely the complete package.

It's quite an entourage, but it doesn't work on me. It's not even that I can tear the shackles like papier-mâché. I've had a lot of PROTECTION training.

- So, do I wait for your head or what? - I decide to put some willpower into my character.

But the statues continue to stand silent.

No problem.

I sit and wait.

And finally, after half an hour, the door opens and a spectacular brunette in a green dress comes in.

- Mr Parker, it's a pleasure to welcome you," the young woman nods, sitting down in the chair across from me. - I'm sure you have many questions, and I'm ready to answer them," the brunette informs me in a focused voice.

Well, let's not upset the obvious caretakers.

- I have to admit, while I was helicoptered to this place, I had time to think," I lay back in my chair, taking a relaxed pose. - Judging by the patches on your men's uniforms and your obvious penchant for green, you're from Hydra, which means that Dr. Fierce has made another move in our game, so either you've come to kill me, which you would have done in the flat, or you've brought me to your base to torture me and then kill me, or your goal is recruitment," I reasoned, raising my eyes to the ceiling.

- Very good, Mr Parker," the woman nodded approvingly. - You're right, our goal is quite simple, and no, it's not to kill you or torture you for information," the woman smiled softly.

- Recruitment, then?

- Mr. Parker, - the brunette looks at me carefully with her green eyes, - I'll be honest with you, I'm not the last person in the organisation and I'm here for only two reasons, the first and the most important, Gustav was one of those who seriously supported me on my way up and I owe him a lot.

- And the second? - I looked at the woman with an attentive gaze.

- I wondered why he was suddenly interested in you," the brunette waved her hair, "but I think I understand now.

- So what's the plan?

- It's simple, Mr Parker...can we just call it Peter? - The HYDRA agent arched an eyebrow with interest.

I nod calmly in response.

- So, Peter, everything you were taught at school or may have been told in the Shield about HYDRA is a lie, - the green-eyed girl began her propaganda speech. - We are not nationalists, we don't care about the colour of skin, sexual orientation or religion of our agents. HYDRA has only one goal.

- And what's that? - I look at you with inexpressible scepticism.

- To destroy weakness," the brunette said firmly. - In hearts, in minds, in souls, and thus save mankind.

- From what?

- Shall I give you a short list? Self-extinction. That's if you start with the masses. Politicians, regimes, decisions made by the top of states, conflicts, wars, and if we remember nuclear weapons? - The agent exhaled. - Sooner or later, if we continue on this path, we will destroy ourselves.

Alas, amusing as it is, I couldn't agree more.

- Then, the recent visitors from outer space," the green-eyed woman continued.

- Visitors from outer space? - I wonder.

One hundred per cent about Thor's recent appearance.

- That's right, Peter, aliens do exist," the brunette "enlightened" me. - And if there are whole civilisations among the stars, we should be ready for a possible invasion.

- Why do you want me? - I ask a really interesting question.

- We need people like you: promising, intelligent, shrewd, - began to sprinkle me with positive characteristics HYDRA agent.

- Why kidnap me?! - I sharply waved my hands, which even slightly frightened the green-eyed woman. - Your dubolomami broke my windows, by the way!

- We apologise, - the brunette presses her lips together. - We have to do that, Shields is not dormant, even if it looks like kidnapping to them.

Which, in fact, it is. But that's not what I'm worried about.

- Looks? You're not planning on letting me go home?

- 'Alas, we can't allow that just yet, Mr Parker,' the woman reverted to a certain businesslike tone.

- People will be looking for me, relatives, friends, - I frown at the absolutely unperturbed green-eyed woman.

- We are not beasts, Mr Parker, and we will let you contact your relatives, you will warn them that you are safe, but no more.

- And until when?

- Until we're sure you'll agree to work for us," the woman smiled calmly.

And I'd like to nod and agree, not to show my face. But my character, this desire to fight for my own does not allow me to keep silent.

- And if I don't agree? - I look firmly into the brunette's eyes.

But in response, she just smiles.

- I'm sure you'll agree," the woman rose from her chair. - Your handler will be here soon, but in the meantime," the green-eyed woman snaps her fingers, and one of the guards comes over and uncuffs me, "rest, Peter.

- What's your name? - I turn to the brunette as she walks to the door.

- Ophelia," the supervillain introduces herself to me with a soft smile. - Welcome to HYDRA.
