- Yahoo!!!
That's how loudly I shouted as I made a sharp turn and landed next to Rumi's cabin. And that Rabbit immediately jumped out of it in surprise as she watched me get off my glider.
- What's that?
- A glider made by Mei Hatsume, on my order.
- The one who surrendered herself and used Ingenium's brother?
- Yeah... by the way, do you know what happened to his brother there?
Rumi frowned...
- It's a lame story, he met up with Blur....
- Wait, but he only attacks people like Uwabami or Mountain Lady, I mean, people who became heroes just for the money and fame... Ingenium wasn't like that... Yes, he got a salary for his work, but even so he gave most of it to charities....
- You know a lot about hero cuisine...
- Yeah.
- I wanted to kick your arse this morning and see Tsuyu in person, but I see she's not here....
- Yeah, she's decided that fighting isn't really her thing after all. She's going to use Tiger so she won't be helpless, and I'll train her at home, but....
- It's understandable.
Rumi waved her hand and her ears perked up.
- I want to go for a ride!
- Yes, please.
I shrugged, and Rumi jumped on the glider.
- It's like a monowheel.
- Mm-hmm.
A couple of seconds and she takes off into the air and just soars upwards with a wild scream of joy....
Grinning I entered her house and made my way to the kitchen, where from my rucksack I took out a large thermos of cooked vegetable stew. And a large bottle of carrot juice as well. After that, I made my way to the gym and started my workout.
Rumi came back about a couple of hours later and she was just extremely pleased.
- I need one of those.
- No problem.
I shrugged and took out my phone and dialled May.
- May speaking...
- May, you have an order. I need the same glider for Miruko.
- For Miruko?!
- Yeah, she likes the toy...
- I'll do it! In a week! No, five days! It'll be ready!
- You take your time, make it good, if anything, I can leave her mine for now.
- I... Okay... I can't believe I'll be working for Miruko herself!
After saying that, she hung up the phone and probably went deep into her work.
- Okay, now let's go take a swipe!
I grinned and with a nod walked out of the house following Rumi.
- Full contact?
- Yep!
*** A few hours later. ***
I was lying on the grass, battered as usual.
- Good...
Rumi was sitting next to me, munching on the stew she had already brought from the kitchen, as well as the juice that was next to her.
- Well...I guess one day I'll be able to say that too....
Rumi threw me a laughing look.
- Well, I can say that today you are stronger than last time... So I think in twenty years, when I retire, you will be able to sit on the grass enjoying your impunity.
- Rumi.
- What?
She was just mocking me and she didn't hide it.
- If I don't come to your next internship, who's going to feed you stew? You don't know how to cook....
The rabbit's gaze grew heavy.
- You'll be sorry.
- Rumi.
Now my gaze was laughing.
- You already show me the whip every sparring session, but you need to lure me with a carrot, a carrot....
She bit her lip and glanced from side to side, though it was clear that no one was watching us. The house is in the middle of nowhere...
- I'll let you pet my ears.
I twitched slightly, but restrained myself from an immediate response.
- And the tail.
- No!
I shrugged.
- Well, as you know... The Mountain Lady will probably send me an invitation to the next practice too, and then she'll remind you every time you meet her that your student ran away to her....
- Я...
She threw a helpless look at me.
- Just once!
- Tail once, ears permanently.....
- La...
- But if you like...
I interrupted her.
- ...then you can always turn to me to pet your tail.
Rumi blushed and moved closer to me, but I made an effort to sit up and then patted my knees.
- Sit here.
I got a couple of seconds of unkind glances, and then sat down on my lap. I put my right hand on her head and stroked between her ears. Rumi was too tense, so I gave her a few minutes to get used to it and only then did my cheeky hands touch her ears and start stroking them gently.
The first touch on her ears made Rumi flinch, but soon she relaxed and was clearly enjoying herself.
- Do you like it?
- MHA...
My hand began to shift gently, first to her neck, then to her back, and then touched the rabbit's tail.
That touch made Rumi, though I had prepared her for it, tense up.
- Shhhh...
My fingers began to play with Rumi's tail, and my other hand returned to her ears.
- I won't allow myself any more than you've allowed...
- Я...
Rumi's breathing became much deeper and I realised what was going on and took my hand away from her ponytail and returned it to her head, capturing the other ear.
- Stupid...
I shook my head.
- I should have just told you that your ponytail is very sensitive....
- You...
- I won't tell anyone.
She sighed.
- I didn't tell anyone... I was just embarrassed about it and... could you pet my ponytail again?
She said the last part of that sentence in an extremely embarrassed voice.
- Sure.
I grinned and returned my hand to her ponytail, watching as Rumi relaxed and began to enjoy herself.
- Still, you're very cute...
- Yeah, but you have a girlfriend.
She said with a heavy sigh.
- Well...
- What, are you gonna dump her for me?
- No, but let's come back to this conversation at the end of practice... I have a few options to deal with this situation, but it's too early to talk about it for now. Let's see how our relationship plays out first.
- Okay...
Rumi threw me an attentive look that was slightly clouded with desire and pleasure.
- In the meantime, all I can offer you is sparring where you can blow off steam, as well as fresh stew and carrot juice.
She sighed.
- I'll settle for that for now, but at the end of your practice, I'll require you to explain what kind of solution you see to this situation....
- I'll tell you everything.
I grinned, and after ten minutes Rumi did get up and demanded another fight from me...
*** Late evening of the same day. ***
- I hope you have your suit with you.
- Sure.
I glanced at the massive bracelet and in one motion switched the tracksuit I was wearing when I fought Rumi into my hero costume.
- By the way, your bracelet is already in production, I think it will be ready by the end of practice.
Rumi nodded gratefully.
- Okay, I'll change and...
She glanced at the glider.
- ...Can it lift two people?
- It will, but I'm driving.
- I don't mind.
She grinned and ran back into the house, where she emerged five minutes later in her costume. I was already standing on the glider, which was hovering about twenty centimetres above the ground.
- Let's go to the nearest town!
Rumi jumped on top of me and clung to me with her arms and legs. I swayed slightly, but I was able to quickly stabilise my position then adding power we set off.
- Whoo!
Rumi was enjoying the whole flight, but when we were over the city she asked me to hover.
- So... now we have to figure out how to find the nearest bandits.....
- What's the point of figuring it out?
I took out my phone and quickly connected to my companions, who immediately showed me a dozen points where illegal activities were taking place. A couple of them were marked only in dark green, which meant that the crimes there were not very serious, something like running a red light. The rest were yellow, which meant robbery and hijacking, well, other similar level offences. Then there was red, which was murder and other serious offences with or without the use of fads. Well and black, a global incident involving villains.
At the same time there are the same signals for natural and man-made disasters, the only difference is that crimes are displayed with a triangle, and disasters with a circle.
- So, here and here is a small thing, and here it seems to be robbery...
I zoomed in on one of the yellow triangles and made sure it was a robbery. Couple of blokes robbing a small shop.
- Let's go!
With a grin, I put on the throttle and we flew towards the failed robbers.
- This is a hold-up, everybody stay where you are!
With a shout I landed on the glider and jumped off the glider and was next to the first bandit, while Rumi jumped off while still in flight and kicked the second bandit into unconsciousness.
- I'm your Friendly Neighbour: Spider-Man, and frankly, I'm surprised that two losers like you are trying to rob a stall in a town that is under Miruko's protection... Or are you masochists and wanted to feel her kick?
- I'd love that!
Rumi jumped up to mine and kicked him in the head with her foot.
- Eh...
I shook my head and pulled the two losers towards each other then used the starter pins to glue them together with webbing, hands at each other's feet, then dialled the police number.
- This is the police.
- Hi, I'm Spider-Man, trainee Miruko, we've apprehended two robbers, they were robbing a stall, but we can't wait. We've immobilised them and will leave them at the address....
I jumped on the Glider and then Rumi jumped on my back again.
- Let's go!
No serious crime went unpunished that night, and even if we didn't make it to the crime itself, my companions allowed me to track them and catch them at the point where they were hiding.
- It was productive...
Rumi jumped off the glider late at night near her house.
- Ahh...
She yawned and stretched seductively, and I realised that I should definitely talk to Tsuyu, as I might not be able to make it to the end of practice....
- Goodnight Rumi...
I flew over to her and kissed her on the cheek, then abruptly soared into the air....
