Chapter 7: Inescapable
A gray light surrounded Aaron as a form of the Cosmic Shield skill still active. But even at that, his lifeforce was still reducing at a frightening rate.
-3,000
-5,800
-1,500
...
Not just Aaron, but the rest of the group.
While Kris, KC, Emily and Gina was asleep due to the effect of Dream skill, Judas was wide awake and staring at Aaron with eyes as cold and sharp as daggers not even concerned with the fact that their life-force were been depleted by the guard, Ortega.
"You think you're brave? Take that to the grave with you." Ortega sneered and he raised a hand and pressed down.
The space around suddenly overlapped together and the void twisted, warped leaving a fractured existence in their wake.
Judas spoke for the first time.
"What did you do to them?"
Aaron gritted his teeth and asked.
"And why are you not asleep? You are supposed to fall asleep with them."
Judas suddenly scoffed. "Are you planning to use us as bait so that you can escape from Ortega's wrath?"
Aaron's eyes widened. "What?"
Ortega's patience was running thin.
"You dare discuss in my presence? It seem that you don't fear death."
"Curses of Indolence." Ortega screamed like a maniac and a wave of power rushed down at the two prisoners.
"Extract Skill!"
As the strange curse was coming, Aaron was asking Impervious skill, (snatch) to rid Ortega of that skill.
[Extraction, complete!]
By then, the wave of curse that was about reaching Aaron and Judas suddenly vanished seemingly out of thin air.
Judas stared at Aaron and suddenly a small smile appeared on his face.
"So you're the one? You snatch skills?"
Aaron's face immediately turned several shades darker.
Aaron actually hoped that no one would ever discover that he was actually the true nemesis to anyone using unique skills and curses. But Judas here had discovered in no time, it hasn't even been that long since he acquired the skill so... Why?
Who was this kid though...?
Angry, Aaron asked.
"Who are you?"
There was no response and Judas raised his staff and waved it...
Instantly, there was a wall of barrier that separated them from Ortega's insane rampage and for some reason, whatever Ortega does to damage the barrier seem not to affect it and Aaron was shocked.
Turning, Aaron used his appraisal skill on Judas only to see something that shocked him.

'What?'
And then, Judas spoke startling Aaron.
"You just appraised me didn't you?"
'How? He's inaccessible! Upon that, he knows what I do?'
With a sigh Judas said. "Let's leave here now, Ortega is really unpredictable."
Meanwhile, Aaron was still wondering how his life became very complicated.
Applying the zone shift, he swapped his destination from the dungeons second base to the Citadel's indomitable defensive turret sections.
While Judas, Kris, KC, Emily and Gina appeared at a depot that draws the balcony of the citadel to the main exit.
Aaron felt very exhausted.
The things that he had discovered, Ortega's rampage, all of it had driven him almost to the state of insanity.
But, Judas?
Aaron remembered that his last name is Azriel.
Where did he come from?
Who is he?
What is his mission? Because, he seem to have been searching for the person who possesses the power to snatch skills.
Meaning, Judas has been searching for him.
What is going on?
A loud shriek reached Aaron's ears and then a powerful force...
VWHHUUM!
Like that of a suction force it moved towards Aaron, but a golden shield surrounded him.
[Absolute defense, activated]
[Steelwind Force, activating...]
[Steelwind Force, activated]
Another force, almost alike to the one that had approached him earlier left Aaron's body like a gust of wind and the impact slammed upon a heavy object.
THUD!
BOOM!
The wall closest shattered into smithereens and Aaron finally turned seeing the creature that had attacked him.
"Level 1? Psh, low!"
The creature that had attacked him was level one. Probably, the creature had overestimated itself thinking that it would handle a level 3 human, not realizing that it was actually asking for a beating.
Aaron stood up and activated Space Domain.
Calling forth the fortride of space, he slammed down and space slammed down alongside with him, instantly reducing the creature into meat paste.
(You have killed a Wild level one Warthog...)
'Damn...'
Aaron sat back down on the floor.
But all of a sudden, he sensed a movement and he instantly shifted through zones, appearing at a long corridor that narrowed all the way into Sheba's chambers.
Meanwhile, his Space Domain skill allows him to create a number of eight zones. And after he had exhausted the number of zones, before he is able to recreate those zones, then it must have passed forty-eight hours straight.
Forty-eight hours is equal to two days. So, if he uses up his complete zone then, he would have no zones left, surviving on his own for two days until he is able to create another eight zones.
Aaron sighed.
His first zone was used to escape his prison, the second was used to escape Ortega's first attack, the third was used to locate the dungeon, the forth and fifth was used to escape the dungeon, one zone for him and another zone for the group of five as for the sixth zone, he had used it instinctively because he heard someone approaching.
Meaning that he had only two more zones left to use.
Luckily, he had actually used that sixth zone to escape from Ortega. He had been the one approaching.
Quickly, Aaron headed straight for Sheba's chamber.
He did not know and could not understand what had actually pushed him but, the adrenaline rush had been too powerful that he couldn't discern his actions.
As time went by, Aaron saw himself drawing closer and closer towards the bronze door, each step he takes causing chills to crawl down his spine.
'Ah... This is not what I bargained for!'
