Chapter 47 - Bishop Lea Part 2
Suicide Before Defeating the Final Boss – 47
EP.47 Bishop Lea Part 2
Having decided to focus on training rather than attending classes, Jeong-hyeon planned to train either in the dormitory or on the hill behind the academy, except for essential classes. As soon as the class ended, he headed to the hill.
‘The skill I need to prioritize practicing is the one used to destroy the auction house.’
Though the skill’s name remained unidentified in the description, with only question marks in place of a name, one thing was clear: it involved using divine power to “push” things away. He decided to refer to it as “Domain Declaration” and set his mind on mastering it.
My goal is to keep practicing until this skill is officially recognized.’
He began gathering divine power, determined to continue until the skill was formally registered in his abilities. However, he knew that too much divine power would create an uncontrollable force, so he gathered just enough to be effective. He envisioned using it to push away everything around him and hurled it towards the ground.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Unlike before, when using divine power felt like simply causing explosions, using it in this new way, to push things away, created a sensation of strong impacts.
‘In other words, while the previous method was specialized in delivering external shocks, this way feels more suited to causing internal damage.’
This made him think that, although the impact might be less powerful than his usual method, this new technique could be more effective against enemies with heavy armour or tough exteriors.
‘Alright, now that I’ve got the hang of the pushing sensation, it’s time to get serious.’
What he aimed to do now was not just concentrate divine power in one area but to truly declare a domain by releasing divine power from his entire body, pushing away everything around him.
‘The key point here is…’
It wasn’t just about releasing divine power and stopping there. The goal was to saturate the area he pushed away with his divine power, filling the surroundings completely.
‘In short, this skill is about creating a space filled with divine power and maintaining it.’
By doing so, weaker enemies wouldn’t even be able to approach, while stronger ones would be suppressed within this divine space, unable to exert their full strength. It was a powerful skill, but there was one critical drawback.
‘The divine power consumption is excessively high.’
Filling a vast area with massive amounts of divine power and maintaining it would be impossible for an ordinary priest. However, in his case, this limitation didn’t apply.
‘One of my strengths is my seemingly endless supply of divine power.’
Maintaining this skill wouldn’t be difficult for him. With the downside effectively nullified, he focused on mastering this skill, setting his stance once more.

After practicing for a while, he sat on a nearby rock to rest and decided it was time to let Regina out of the subspace. As much as he didn’t want to release her, keeping her captive would prevent him from executing his plan to pin all the blame on her.
‘Honestly, I don’t want to release her…’
If he kept her any longer, his plan to shift all the guilt onto her would be jeopardized. So, he decided it was time to set her free.
‘Of course, I need to make sure there are safety measures in place.’
He pulled out the contract he had previously forced Miria, that pig, and the two wizards to sign from the subspace. Handing it to Regina, who was standing there in a daze.
“Sign this, and I’ll let you go.”
Regina trembled as she responded.
“…Do you think I’ll believe you?”
“What will you do if you don’t? Want me to torture you again?”
At that, Regina fell silent and shivered. He smiled warmly at her and waved the contract in front of her.
“You seem to misunderstand. This isn’t a request or a suggestion. It’s an order.”
“…An order?”
“Yes, an order you can’t refuse.”
Regina bit her lip and glared at him, but that was all she could do—just narrow her eyes in defiance.
Realizing that the effect of the torture was wearing off, he put the contract back into the subspace and leaned in closer, whispering with a wide grin.
“Honestly, I’m relieved. If you had agreed to sign this, I would have been really disappointed.”
Regina looked at him, clearly confused, as if wondering what he was talking about.
“I recently learned a new skill… It’s called Domain Declaration. I can use it perfectly, but I haven’t tested it on a person yet.”
“….”
“So, I wanted to test it on someone, and you’re just in time to volunteer for the training. Thanks a lot.”
Regina seemed to grasp his intent, her pupils trembling in fear. He whispered calmly in her ear.
“Just wait here for a moment, I’ll go fetch Lucia.”
Mentioning Lucia meant a long session of torture was coming, so in a panic, Regina shouted.
“I’ll sign it! I’ll sign the contract!”
But he ignored her and shoved her back into the subspace.
“It’s too late.”

[Congratulations! Your Domain Declaration skill level has increased.]
[Domain Declaration Lv: 2]
He chuckled, looking at the newly levelled-up Domain Declaration skill, thanks to Regina’s devoted assistance.
When he practiced alone, it had been challenging to master the skill, but with a partner, the level had increased much faster than expected.
‘Regina is really useful.’
Not only did she take the blame for his crimes, but she also helped increase his abilities and skill levels, making her all the more valuable in his eyes. As he waved the bloodstained contract in the air, a satisfied smile spread across his face. He looked at Regina, who was trembling before him.
“You did well. You can go now.”
At those words, Regina hurriedly ran off, stumbling and rolling down the hill. He had no intention of pursuing her, but she seemed determined to make her getaway as difficult as possible. Shaking his head, he thought she was bringing unnecessary trouble upon herself. Turning to Lucia, who was standing nearby, he spoke.
“You worked hard too, using your healing magic.”
Lucia shook her head and replied.
“…Sigh. I have a lot to say, but I won’t.”
He chuckled at her response. Despite her constant complaints, she always cooperated, making her a great help. Feeling a sense of gratitude toward Lucia, he pointed down the mountain.
“Shall we go get something to eat?”
Lucia, pouting a little, called out.
“Then since I worked hard today, you should treat me…!”
Since he had plenty of money, it wasn’t a big deal, so he nodded.
“Sure.”
“I was just joking! I’ll pay for my own.”
He couldn’t help but laugh at her sudden change in tone, finding her reaction both puzzling and amusing.

The next day, he attended a joint class between the Department of Magic and the Department of Swordsmanship. As he stood with his arms crossed, watching the crowd gather, Miria approached him.
“Did you hear? The investigators took Regina away.”
It was interesting news, especially so early in the day. However, he had expected it, so he simply nodded calmly. Miria, looking a bit worried, continued.
“I hope Regina doesn’t say anything. If she does, we might end up having to fight the entire kingdom.”
“Don’t worry about that. I made her sign the contract yesterday.”
Miria’s eyes lit up as she asked.
“Can I see that contract? I can point out any missing parts if there are any.”
It wasn’t a difficult request, so he nodded and handed over the contract. Miria looked at it, her expression shifting to one of shock and disbelief as she commented.
“This… The clauses are so brutal that signing this is almost worse than a slave contract.”
“Is it?”
“What’s that supposed to mean? At least slaves are treated as living beings.”
Miria said, visibly disturbed by the contract. She shivered as she handed it back to him and continued.
“Anyway, it seems flawless, so there’s nothing to worry about.”
He nodded absently, but then felt a strong surge of mana in the air. Turning his gaze toward the source, he saw Esich standing at the door with a blank expression.
“Let’s begin the class.”
He placed a magic book on the lectern and announced the start of the class, explaining what he intended to teach.
“War is a series of unpredictable events. To adapt to these variables, we will be conducting duels in an area filled with various traps, but…”
Esich paused mid-sentence, looked at Jeong-hyeon, and gestured for him to come forward.
“You don’t need that kind of training, do you?”
What, does he want to fight? he thought, feeling a surge of anticipation as he reached for the hilt of his sword, slowly approaching Esich. But as he got closer, Esich pointed to a chair nearby and spoke.
“So, you can sit there and watch the others spar.”
“…?”
Why wasn’t he fighting? he wondered, a bit disappointed as he contemplated drawing his sword anyway. But then, a good idea struck him, and he smirked as he spoke to Esich.
“Instructor, I have something to discuss. Can we talk over there?”
“A discussion? Is it important?”
“Yes. It’s extremely important.”
Esich pondered for a moment before nodding.
“Then let’s talk while the others are sparring.”
“Yes, sir.”
With that, Esich instructed the students from the Department of Magic and the Department of Swordsmanship to begin their duels. Then he returned to him and asked.
“So, what do you want to tell me?”
Listening to Esich’s somewhat arrogant tone, he suppressed a smile and calmly replied.
“Did you know that Erie… was killed by Regina?”
