Chapter 61 - The Revealed Truth Part 4
Suicide Before Defeating the Final Boss – 61
EP.61 The Revealed Truth Part 4
The summoning chamber, made of pure white magic stone, was filled with the bodies of countless kings and royals. As Jeong-hyeon looked up and saw these bodies watching over the chamber, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the familiar, unsettling feeling he had experienced before.
‘This place is disgusting, no matter how many times I come.’
He threw the corpses of the guards who had been stationed there into his subspace pouch. Drawing his sword, he thrust it into the five-layered grand magic circle designed to protect the corpses. Normally, the intense magical power would make it impossible to approach, but thanks to the unique nature of his divine power, which absorbed mana, he managed to breach the barrier and destroy the magic circle. He shredded the magic circle until it was unrecognizable and then looked up at the bodies.
‘Time to get to work.’
Jeong-hyeon decided to gather the corpses from above into one place and swiftly moved into action.
‘About a hundred bodies.’
Though it seemed like a lot from below, collecting them revealed it wasn’t many. Although 100 bodies would fall short of the size of the corpse golems he had seen before, he was confident that they would still inflict significant psychological damage on those who recognized their forms.
‘It should be quite impactful.’
Eager to see the reactions, he finished preparing the materials as required by the system message.
[Please infuse your power into the creation.]
He briefly wondered if infusing his divine power into the golem might give it the ability to nullify mana, like his own power.
‘That would be incredible.’
Golems were notoriously difficult to deal with using conventional means, often requiring mana or divine power to combat effectively. If this golem could nullify mana, it would be an incredibly tricky opponent.
‘This could work.’
Deciding to test it out, he infused his divine power into the corpse golem. The grotesque sight of the writhing bodies, starting from Marpe, was hardly pleasant, but thinking of the psychological impact it would have on others made him smile.

[You have successfully created a Corpse Golem!]
[Congratulations! You have achieved an accomplishment.]

Jeong-hyeon gave the golem commands and directed it towards the vicinity of the treasure vault, instructing it to cause a commotion.
“Raaaargh!”
As the golem roared and moved towards the vault, Jeong-hyeon decided to move quickly. He planned to raid the treasure vault as swiftly as possible while keeping an eye on the commotion.
‘I want to see the chaos unfold.’
With a full infusion of divine power, he set off towards the treasure vault.
***
Thanks to the corpse golem creating chaos, getting inside was relatively easy. Jeong-hyeon simply needed to seize the opportunity amidst the commotion and enter quickly. However, as expected of a royal treasure vault, there were numerous guards inside.
Judging that it was better to handle them carefully, he closed the outer door of the treasure vault and drew his sword.
‘Let’s deal with the stronger ones separately.’
He decided to keep the more formidable guards for later use as components for the corpse golem. Declaring his “domain declaration,” he pressed down on everyone with his divine power, then methodically stabbed each guard in the neck. As he looked towards the door leading deeper into the treasure vault, he was met with the sight of the Heartrate.
Heartrate—another name for the highest grade magic stone. Jeong-hyeon’s mouth watered at the sight of the massive vault door made of this rare and expensive mineral. He was curious about what could be hidden behind such a heavily guarded door.
‘Let’s see what’s inside.’
Using his sword aura, he sliced through the Heart Rate and stepped inside.
‘Wow.’
The sight before him was awe-inspiring. Piles of gold, silver, and jewels were stacked in a space so vast it seemed to dwarf any auction house. Jeong-hyeon marveled at the unimaginable wealth accumulated over generations, quickly moving past it to delve deeper.
‘Money isn’t what I need right now.’
What mattered was finding items that would aid in his growth and cause critical damage to the kingdom. He focused on these priorities as he ventured further into the vault.
In the depths of the vault, he came across something rather interesting.
‘Elixir.’
A panacea capable of reviving the dead. Jeong-hyeon grasped it reverently and stored it in his subspace pouch.

Fear left a deep imprint that may fade over time but could be vividly revived under certain circumstances.
Regina, recalling Jeong-hyeon’s face from their earlier encounter, found herself trembling uncontrollably. The primal fear engraved in her instinct made his image reappear every time she thought of him.
Overwhelmed by fear, she sat in her chair for a time, eventually calming down and covering her face with her hands.
‘It’s alright… at least here, he can’t touch me.’
No matter how strong he was, it was impossible for him to face everyone here. Besides, there were two sword saints—Karina and Neriah—present. Any disruption he caused would be promptly dealt with.
As her rational thoughts continued, a lingering fear in the back of her mind questioned.
‘What if he really does overpower them?’
The moment this doubt surfaced, she felt her mind go blank, frozen in place.
‘…Ah.’
In her momentary panic, she accidentally dropped the teacup she was holding, letting it fall to the floor. She berated herself for this unrefined behavior and hurried to pick it up, trying to make it so no one would notice. From a distance, she could feel the gaze of the magic instructor, Esich, on her.
Feeling his eyes on her, Regina considered approaching him to tell him that everything Jeong-hyeon had said was a lie and that he was the one responsible for everything. If she could convince him, she might find a way to escape this situation.
‘… So, it might be better to at least try to talk.’
She thought, pondering the possibility of finding a solution.
Just then, a knight rushed in, quickly opening the door and moving to whisper something to Butler Minister Ferton.
‘…?’
It was unusual for a mere knight to bypass the usual chain of command and speak directly to the butler minister, which led Regina to realize that a significant problem must have arisen. Regina watched as Ferton’s face turned pale.
‘…A crisis?’
Though she didn’t know exactly what was happening, it was clear that a serious issue had occurred. Regina thought it might be a good opportunity to prove her abilities to the royal family. She tried to steady her trembling hands and moved forward, only to be interrupted by a massive explosion from behind.
KABOOM!
The sound of something bursting echoed through the room. Everyone present turned their gaze simultaneously toward the source of the noise.
“What, what is that? A, a corpse golem? Why is something like that here?”
“Wait a minute… Isn’t that the queen’s body merged with the golem?”
“What are you saying? Why would the queen’s corpse be there … Wait, that’s the former king…”
What began as fear and confusion quickly turned into horror as the faces and ornaments of the corpses embedded in the golem became visible. The countless nobles present recoiled in terror from the unbelievable sight, and the corpse golem, seemingly pleased, pounded the floor with its arms, creating a disturbing noise.
Thud, thud.
Though it was a golem, its body was made of corpses. When it struck the ground with great force, the bodies making up its form began to break and crush. Consequently, when it struck the floor…
Crack.
The corpses embedded within would break or crush. Watching the remains of the kings and royals, which had been preserved in perfect condition due to preservation magic, being shattered in an instant, many of the nobles could only stand with their mouths open, unable to look away.
“Knights! Destroy that golem immediately!”
Of course, among them, there were some who kept a clear head and attempted to give orders to address the crisis. However…
“Are you insane? Do you intend to harm the sacred bodies of the royals?”
Given their status, no one dared to recklessly approach the corpse golem to deal with it.
‘…Ah.’
Regina, too, found herself unable to act, merely watching from a distance as she shielded herself. Even though she belonged to one of the three great families, the act of cutting down the bodies of the royal family, even if they were only corpses, required too many sacrifices.
‘It would mean taking on more than just responsibility … No, it would entail bearing grave consequences.’
Thus, it was most ideal not to get involved. However, the problem was that the same rules applied to royalty.
‘No matter how much of a royal family they are, they have no choice but to be held responsible for damaging the body of another royal family member.’
Additionally, there were no individuals willing or able to deal with the bodies of their own parents or family members, even in death. So everyone could only watch helplessly.
As everyone hesitated and was at a loss, a panicked voice spoke up.
“Th-that corpse embedded up there … Isn’t that the 2nd Knight Commander Marpe …?”
The name of the individual suspected of being involved in the recent auction house terror spread throughout the room. All eyes turned simultaneously to the Second Princess Karina, creating an atmosphere demanding an explanation, or even accountability, from her.
