Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 85: The Trouble with Johnny

Giant ape Robert, having transformed back to his normal form, was asked by Clark, "Wait, where did your clothes come from?"

"Yeah, how come you're dressed?" Kara asked, puzzled and slightly disappointed. She clearly saw Robert's clothes tear apart when he transformed into the giant ape, which was a completely different experience from what she would see with her X-ray vision.

"I've mastered the art of transformation, so changing clothes is a matter of moments. Though I can't directly create flexible battle suits, it's still pretty convenient," Robert explained, spreading his hands. This newfound use of his transformation ability meant that he no longer had to worry about being without clothes after a battle.

"You should take a break from training for a few days and let your injuries fully heal. This time you were injured more severely than before," Clark advised, shaking his head.

"That's not necessary at all. I want to try using the transformation ability to train and improve my own strength. If it works, I won't have to worry about injuries anymore!" Robert refused Clark's suggestion without hesitation. If his transformation could provide him with a new body, it meant he could continue training non-stop, an opportunity Robert was not willing to miss.

"Alright, suit yourself!" Clark rolled his eyes, giving up on trying to persuade Robert, as long as he didn't endanger himself.

However, unlike Clark, Kara was very interested in Robert's transformation ability, and the two began experimenting with it. Unfortunately, the transformation ability wasn't the game-changing skill Robert had imagined. It was more like a temporary state for his body, not suitable for combat. When Robert's strength and energy fully burst forth, the transformation automatically ceased.

Thus, Robert's interest in the transformation ability waned, deciding to use it only for disguises and changing clothes. At least he wouldn't have to worry about clothes anymore.

When Robert's injuries healed and he returned to his normal life at school, Jackie Chan contacted him again, informing him that Johnny was in trouble...

After Robert had sent Johnny and others away from the battlefield that day, Jackie didn't ask for the Dragon Talisman back. Instead, he left his contact information with Johnny and parted ways.

However, Johnny's days of enjoying superpowers were short-lived. The Shadow Ninjas soon found the Stone family again, as the High Lord sensed the Dragon Talisman was still there.

Though the High Lord didn't know if Robert was still around, sending the Shadow Ninjas to probe the situation was feasible.

This probing resulted in the Stone family's newly repaired house being blown open again.

Truth be told, Johnny had strong control over the Dragon Talisman, almost commanding it effortlessly. Otherwise, Robert wouldn't have thought of engaging in an intense battle with him.

But aside from the power of the Dragon Talisman, Johnny was just an ordinary person. His reaction and adaptability were quick for a normal human, but when faced with countless Shadow Ninjas, he couldn't manage to defeat them individually without causing widespread destruction.

Thus, the first Shadow Ninja attack cost Johnny a window, the second a wall, and eventually, he had no home left...

Even so, the Shadow Ninjas' pursuit didn't stop. Once the High Lord realized Robert wasn't with Johnny, the harassment continued, exploiting the Talisman owner's weakness.

That weakness was Johnny's need for rest. How long could he keep fighting against exhaustion?

When Johnny finally collapsed from mental exhaustion, it would be the moment for the High Lord to reclaim the Dragon Talisman.

Out of desperation, an exhausted Johnny contacted Jackie Chan. He had realized that having superpowers was not easy, especially after the past few days when he started hallucinating, noticing that the attacking Shadow Ninjas seemed to change in appearance, looking taller and thinner...

"So, you should have just handed over the Dragon Talisman to Jackie Chan in the first place, right? Now we're homeless," Susan complained to Johnny.

That day, Susan had hoped Johnny would give the talisman to Jackie, but Johnny, reluctant to give up his superpowers, ended up in this sorry state.

"Who knew they would harass us non-stop?" Johnny sighed wearily. As he was speaking, his pupils contracted, "Careful! They're here again!"

"Boom!" Johnny released another blast of explosive flame, clearing the surrounding area of Shadow Ninjas.

"Susan, don't you think those guys seem different?" Johnny asked after defeating this batch of ninjas, feeling utterly drained. He looked at Susan and asked in a low voice.

"How would I know?" Susan muttered hesitantly. "Those guys aren't real living beings, they all look the same..."

"Let's leave this place. Jackie said he's contacted Robert. Once Robert comes and takes the Dragon Talisman, we can finally rest," Johnny sighed in resignation, no longer pondering the issue. He just hoped Robert would arrive soon to take the talisman. As for the superpowers, Johnny didn't want them anymore.

At least with the threat of the Shadow Ninjas, he was determined not to have it, unless someone could completely eliminate the never-ending ninjas.

Johnny had been extremely fascinated by the supernatural world after witnessing Robert's power that night. But after these recent events, he was tired and just wanted to rest...

Unknown to Johnny and Susan, an old woman named Mrs. Gao, one of the leaders of the Hand, a sinister organization in the underworld, was observing them from a distance through binoculars. The Hand, who worshipped a dark lord named Tara and controlled a portion of the Shadow Army, had recently noticed the presence of Shadow Ninjas in New York not under their control. Mrs. Gao's curiosity led her to discover an intriguing source of supernatural power.

"It seems this outing has brought an unexpected gain!" Mrs. Gao remarked, her eyes shining as she watched Johnny holding the Dragon Talisman through her binoculars.
