Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 87: A Formidable Opponent of Equal Qi and Strength

"Looks like these two youngsters are already quite exhausted. It seems I can reap the benefits without much effort," Mrs. Gao keenly noticed the fatigue on Johnny and Susan's faces. "However, I still need to find out who stole the master's power, capable of summoning the Black Shadow Ninja Clan. This is undermining the foundation of my Hand Association. Once I sort this out and obtain the superpower stone from that youngster, perhaps I can win the master's favor and become the sole leader of the Hand!"

As Mrs. Gao spoke, a fanatic light flickered in her eyes. A dark aura seemed to surge around her, somewhat similar to that of the Black Shadow Ninjas, yet significantly more potent.

"Hmm? What's this?" Robert, flying towards Johnny and Susan following Clark's guidance, raised an eyebrow as he sensed Mrs. Gao's powerful qi. In terms of qi intensity, it surpassed Kara's and was almost on par with Clark and Diana, though slightly weaker than Hulk and Abomination.

But clearly, qi alone doesn't represent true combat strength. Otherwise, Abomination and Hulk wouldn't have been flung away so easily by Clark...

"He's here... Huh? Wait, that's not him..." An exhausted Johnny looked up at the sky and saw Robert's figure. He instinctively called out, but soon frowned, realizing that Robert's appearance was different from their last meeting.

Indeed, Robert had used a transformation spell before leaving, a requirement set by Clark's navigation system. So now, Robert appeared as Goku... no, as Kakarot, not the Great Sage Equal to Heaven.

Thus, when Johnny noticed something off about Robert's appearance, he instinctively pulled Susan behind him, warily watching Robert in mid-air.

Johnny wasn't sure if anyone else besides Robert could fly, but upon seeing the unfamiliar figure of Robert, he chose to stay on full alert.

"Don't worry, it's me," Robert waved his hand and smiled at Johnny.

"How did you change your appearance? Wait, how can you prove you are you?" Johnny frowned, his eyes still showing doubt.

"Hmm... I saved her life," Robert pondered for a moment and softly said, pointing at Susan, "And, when I killed the Black Shadow Ninjas that day, it didn't take much effort."

"I knew it!" Johnny breathed a sigh of relief, then muttered discontentedly.

"Is this your real appearance?" Susan blinked, looking at Robert with interest.

"Oh, no." Robert didn't engage much with Susan, instead turning to Johnny, "Hand over the Dragon Charm to me. Also, you need to leave quickly. It seems others have set their sights on you!"

"Others targeting us? I knew those ninjas looked different..." Johnny's eyes lit up as he shared his observation, "They became thinner and taller. I thought I was seeing things wrong, but it wasn't an illusion!"

With a "buzzing" sound, before Johnny could finish, shadows around them coalesced into new forms. These shadows, named Black Shadow Blades, were thinner and taller than the Black Shadow Ninjas, with claw-like blades in their hands and spike-like feet, somewhat resembling Shen's scissor legs.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Gao, observing from a distance, was startled to see Robert appear within her field of vision. She hadn't seen him approaching, but did see him jumping down in front of Johnny and conversing with them.

To prevent any unforeseen events, Mrs. Gao decisively ordered the Black Shadow Blades to act, intending to test Robert's capabilities.

"Can't hold back now, huh?" Robert glanced at the surrounding Black Shadow Blades with little interest. After all, a powerful adversary was nearby, and he wasn't keen on dealing with a bunch of non-living underlings.

"Keep the Dragon Charm with you for now. Look after yourselves. I'll see how formidable the person targeting you is. Remember to keep your distance!" Robert turned to Johnny and cautioned him, then swiftly headed towards Mrs. Gao's location.

"Thud! Thud! Thud!"

As Robert advanced, his qi erupted, scattering the approaching Black Shadow Blades, which vanished into thin air.

"Hmm?!" Mrs. Gao sensed the powerful aura emanating from Robert. Before she could react, Robert had already appeared in front of her, causing her pupils to constrict slightly with a hint of apprehension.

"Who are you?" Mrs. Gao tightened her grip on her walking stick, warily asking Robert.

"Old lady?" Robert raised an eyebrow at Mrs. Gao. He didn't sense any frailty from her aura or expression, understanding that she, like Master Roshi, appeared old but was still a formidable fighter.

"Old lady? Young man, you're quite disrespectful..." Mrs. Gao's eyes narrowed slightly as she spoke gently, but suddenly, her walking stick swiftly attacked, aiming for Robert's eyes.

"Whoosh!" However, Robert's reflexes were much quicker than Mrs. Gao expected. He dodged the strike with a tilt of his head and, in a swift motion, swung a punch towards her.

"Hmm?!" Mrs. Gao was shocked, trying to block Robert's punch with her other hand while attempting to counter with her walking stick.

"Bang!" Unfortunately, her technique couldn't neutralize Robert's immense power. She was sent flying, and her attack with the walking stick was ineffective.

"Not easy, is it?" Robert didn't immediately pursue Mrs. Gao but muttered thoughtfully, "This is the first time since I arrived in this world that I've met someone whose displayed qi and actual defensive strength are comparable."

In this world, where qi can't accurately predict combat strength, Robert's qi perception became a tool for detecting enemy locations, losing its ability to estimate their power. Kara's qi has been surpassed by Robert, but her speed, strength, and defense are all stronger than his.

And Mrs. Gao was the first person Robert encountered whose qi and actual strength didn't vary much.

"Snap!" Elsewhere, Mrs. Gao performed a mid-air somersault and landed, retreating several steps to dissipate the force from Robert's punch. She remained alert, but at that moment, Robert vanished from her sight...

"Whoosh!" In the next instant, Robert's afterimage appeared. Mrs. Gao's pupils narrowed, and she instinctively thrust her walking stick forward.
