Chapter 48
Chapter 48
Ryan Will, the director, had arrived in Korea.
It had been less than 24 hours since Seo-jun sent him the video.
He must have been in a hurry, because all he brought with him were a few scripts and a wallet.
And so, the conversation between Seo-jun and Ryan Will began.
Ryan Will didn’t say a word after greeting him. He just stared at Seo-jun.
His eyes scanned Seo-jun from head to toe, with a serious expression, as if he was seeing him for the first time.
Seo-jun held back his laughter and lifted his head with confidence.
He wanted to show off. He wanted to brag. His video was worth it.
Ryan Will, who had been looking at him intently, opened his mouth.
“You’ve become ordinary.”
“What?”
That was an unexpected evaluation. Was that bad?
Seo-jun tilted his head.
“Before, you had a kind aura that radiated from you even when you smiled.”
Ryan Will frowned. Seo-jun’s head followed his movement.
“Now, I don’t feel anything. You’re ordinary.”
“Is that good?”
“For now.”
Ryan Will nodded at Seo-jun’s question.
“You need a blank canvas to paint it white or black. That’s good.”
And then, silence fell between them. Ryan Will washed his face.
“How did you do it?”
He lowered his hands from his face and broke the silence.
“Until the last video, I’m sorry to say this, but you were terrible.”
“Why do you say that if you’re sorry?”
Seo-jun pouted. He wasn’t really hurt. Because he could tell from Ryan Will’s eyes and his gesture when he entered the door.
“That was the past. Now…”
Ryan Will answered with a very satisfied face.
“You’re the best.”
Seo-jun’s eyes widened at the sudden compliment. He expected some praise, but he didn’t expect him to say he was the best. But soon, he was happy to hear the praise and he smiled brightly.
“Right? I did really well, right?”
“Yes. That’s why I burned all the revised scripts.”
“Revised scripts?”
He remembered Jonathan, who ran out in shock at the late-night burning of the revised scripts, but he quickly put it aside. Ryan Will nodded.
“I was going to make you appear as little as possible if you didn’t solve it before the shooting.”
That was the first time he heard that. He wondered if he didn’t trust him, but he soon understood Ryan Will’s feelings and nodded. If he had seen the practice videos for seven, no, eight months, he would have done the same.
They were really,
The worst.
It was awkward and strange to see a child who had a kind atmosphere and said villainous lines.
It felt like he was imitating someone poorly.
Who forced him to say those things?
That’s what he thought.
Seo-jun shivered and said.
“If I had acted according to the original script, people would have only felt awkwardness from my acting.”
Ryan Will nodded his head. His smile stayed on his face.
He had pulled out the first script as soon as he saw the video.
He was excited to compare the cold-eyed boy in the video with William.
He couldn’t wait and flew to Korea.
“But there’s no need for that now.”
“Hehehe.”
The two of them smiled brightly and broke the serious mood. Ryan Will’s eyes sparkled.
“Then I’d like to see it for myself, is that okay?”
“Yes!”
Seo-jun got off his chair. He clenched his right hand.
[The Sorrowful Scent of a Lonely Flower-Bad-Low] is activated.
[The Sorrowful Scent of a Lonely Flower-Bad-Low]
Only this flower blooms within a 10m radius.
It looks like a weed and no one knows that it’s a flower.
You feel depressed when you smell the flower’s scent.
And,
In front of director Ryan Will’s eyes, there was a child who hated the world for being abused.
Director Ryan Will was satisfied with Seo-jun’s acting. And he prepared to go back to America.
He seemed to have been in Korea for less than 10 hours, but he was already leaving.
The couple who wanted to tell him to rest a bit before going back shut their mouths at the sight of Ryan Will’s fierce eyes.
Seo-jun’s acting that he saw in person had a different atmosphere from the video.
Ryan Will wanted to go back and rewrite the script as soon as possible.
He took the fastest flight back to America without resting for an hour.
After Ryan Will left, seo-jun bragged to his mom and dad for a long time.
The couple who saw Seo-jun’s acting praised him for doing so well.
Seo-jun was very satisfied and fell asleep.
He was excited to go to the library of bad tendencies and read the two books that were open.
He didn’t have enough magic or time to open more than two. But he felt that soon the same number of doors would open in the library of good tendencies.
“I hope they open soon too! I wonder what books are there!”
Unlike the gloomy eight months, the son who fell asleep with a giggle made the couple happy as well.
And the day dawned.
It was the weekend, so Seo Eun-hye went out to meet her friends.
Today, Lee Min-jun spent the day with Seo-jun.
After eating the delicious lunch that his dad made, seo-jun looked at the mirror while brushing his teeth.
Huh?
There was nothing on his head.
The thing that always sparkled above him,
“The baton is gone!?”
Seo-jun spat out the toothpaste foam.
And he quickly rinsed his mouth with water and looked at the mirror again.
There was no number no matter how he looked.
“Dad! Call the hyungs! Video call!”
“What?”
“Call the hyungs!”
Lee Min-jun looked confused and made a video call.
The hyungs that Seo-jun was talking about were none other than Brown Black.
Brown Black would be busy with practice or schedule, so he contacted Seo Eun-chan, who became the president of Cocoa Entertainment.
Seo Eun-chan, who happened to be with Brown Black, answered the phone and handed it over to them.
“Huh! It’s gone!”
-What? What’s gone?
Seo-jun’s eyes widened.
The number that should have been floating above Brown Black’s head, [Orchestra Conductor’s Connection-Low], which indicated their bond, was gone.
Suddenly, seo-jun remembered the beads that fell with a clang in his head.
“Impossible!”
Did it reset when it fell off? That’s too easy to reset!
Wait a minute.
How long has it been since the bead fell off? Seo-jun couldn’t hear the voice of Brown Black calling him.
He counted his fingers one by one and fell into thought.
He opened the library door, woke up from his sleep and sent a video, then Ryan came the next day, and it was morning again.
It’s been three days!
Three days is fine.
He heard from his uncle Chan that Brown Black was on a break because of the former president of Cocoa Entertainment.
Of course, even though they were on a break, they must have sung songs to prepare for the next album, but still, three days.
It had only been three days.
Seo-jun asked hastily.
“Guys. How was the practice yesterday?”
-Practice? It was the same as usual.
“No, I mean, more. How do I say this. Did you have trouble breathing or did your skills drop?”
Brown Black shook their heads with puzzled faces.
-We’ve been in perfect sync since the Christmas Eve stage.
Seo-jun buried his face in his hands. It won’t work. They don’t know the effect of the skill. What should I do?
His head was spinning. Seo-jun lifted his head with a flash.
“What are you guys doing today?”
-We have a fan meeting. We’ve been a bit shaky this year. Do you want to come, seo-jun?
“Do you perform on stage at the fan meeting? Are there a lot of fans coming?”
-We invited as many as we could because everyone had a hard time this time. Of course we perform. Our nickname is Live-dol.
Seo-jun nodded at Park Seo-jin’s words.
“I’ll go too. When does the fan meeting start?”
-Um. It’s at one o’clock, but it might be a bit late if you come now. There’s a 6 o’clock time too. Do you want to come then?
“No! I want to go now! Dad! Let’s go!”
Lee Min-jun was startled and looked at Seo-jun. He was about to say, ‘It might be too late if we go now, how about 6 o’clock…’ but he closed his mouth and quietly grabbed his phone, wallet, and car keys.
It was because his son’s eyes were burning and he didn’t seem to give up.
He got a text from Seo Eun-chan with the location.
It was far.
It seemed to take more than 30 minutes, but he decided to do his best for his son.
He sent a simple text to Seo Eun-hye.
“Hurry! Dad! Hurry!”
Seo-jun rolled his feet. Lee Min-jun drove while keeping the speed limit for his son’s safety.
Fortunately, the traffic was not bad, and they were able to arrive at the fan meeting place soon.
“Seo-jun! Bro!”
Seo Eun-chan was waiting outside the fan meeting hall. He also looked at Seo-jun with a bewildered face.
Seo Eun-chan led the two people into the fan meeting hall.
The passing staff and the stage production company staff greeted the president and Seo Eun-chan lightly.
“What’s going on all of a sudden?”
“Uncle! Did it start already?”
“It started already. They’re on stage right now.”
Seo-jun opened his mouth.
It can’t be! Seo-jun, who was rolling his feet, heard Seo Eun-chan’s voice like a ray of light.
“You can meet them backstage after the first part is over.”
“Are they not going to sing in the first part?”
“They already sang at the beginning of the fan meeting, and they’re going to talk with the fans for a while and then sing another song at the end. There will be more stages in the second part.”
Seo-jun let out a sigh of relief. He thought it would be okay if they couldn’t sing twice as long as they made up for it in the second part.
They couldn’t tarnish their reputation as live idols!
He felt drained from worrying too much.
Seo-jun, who had been impatiently tapping his feet, suddenly looked calm. Seo Eun-chan and Lee Min-jun exchanged glances. What’s wrong with him? I don’t know. Lee Min-jun shook his head.
Seo Eun-chan scratched his cheek a few times and opened his mouth.
“Do you want to go over there and watch the fan meeting?”
“Yes!”
“Okay. But you have to be quiet, okay?”
“Yes.”
Seo-jun held Seo Eun-chan’s hand and headed to their seats.
They were close to the audience seats where the fans were sitting, but no one noticed Seo-jun and Seo Eun-chan coming in because they were all absorbed in Brown Black on the stage.
Choi Si-yoon, who was on the stage, was the only one who noticed them and winked at them. Seo-jun waved back.
Lee Min-jun, who had called Seo Eun-hye and told her the situation, also sat next to Seo-jun.
Brown Black was talking with the fans on the stage.
The three of them sat down and watched the fan meeting.
It was time to read the notes that the fans had written in advance, and there was a lot of overlapping content.
Hwang Ye-jun grabbed the microphone and said with a smile.
“This is the same too.
‘President Seo Eun-chan, please take good care of our Brown Black! We would appreciate it if you could do it just like when you were a manager.’
Eun-chan hyung has already received this many notes.”
Hwang Ye-jun put the notes on the table. The contents of the piled-up notes were similar.
“We’re also really happy that Eun-chan hyung became the president. We can say what we want more comfortably now. We hope you stay the same as always.”
The fans clapped hard at Park Seo-jin’s words. They trusted Seo Eun-chan, who looked fierce but was kind. They wished for the best for Cocoa Entertainment’s future.
“Uncle, you’re awesome!”
“Uh-huh-huh.”
Seo Eun-chan smiled awkwardly, feeling embarrassed by his nephew’s compliment. He was a first-time president, but he felt like he could do well with so many people supporting him.
The first part of the fan meeting flew by and the final stage of Brown Black was being prepared.
Seo-jun clenched his fists again, feeling anxious.
He wondered if they could satisfy the fans who had seen many stages before, even though they had no talent.
Boom boom!
The music started.
The fans cheered as they saw Brown Black, who had thrown away their playful image and stood on the stage with serious faces.
