Supreme Dragon Seal

Chapter 131.2 - This Isn't A Dream

At this moment, the colorful mist of the Dragon Phoenix Valley was rapidly dissipating, revealing the trees and the sky above.

“This isn’t a dream!” Qi Bei moved away from her lips but his hand remained inside Ming Yue’s dress.

Suddenly, a beastly roar sounded, and a fierce creature that looked like a tiger pounced towards them.

Qi Bei quickly withdrew his hand from Ming Yue’s dress and his black long sword with a dazzling golden light pierced the eye of the magic beast.

“Damn, it’s not a dream…” Qi Bei felt a little embarrassed as he looked at Ming Yue, who still stared at him intently. He then turned his gaze to the powerful, savage monsters that were emerging from the dense forest. There was no time to contemplate further. He grabbed Ming Yue’s hand and swiftly dashed away, charging out of the Dragon Phoenix Valley.

Oddly enough, the current Dragon Phoenix Valley felt different from before, lacking the sense of being trapped, akin to an ordinary grand valley.

Shortly after their disappearance, the graceful and enchanting figure of Yao Rao flickered into view. Her gaze fell upon the staff and dagger dropped by Ming Yue, causing her heart to grow heavy.

Not far from the Dragon Phoenix Valley, a babbling brook flowed out from the mountains. Qi Bei descended there, holding onto Ming Yue. He arrived at the creek, cupped his hands in the cool water, and splashed his face. He then gazed at his reflection in the water, running his hand over his shiny bald head.

That Iron Head guy probably can’t compare to this young master anymore, Qi Bei thought to himself.

Ming Yue squatted nearby, continuously rinsing her lips with the creek water, seemingly attempting to wash away the traces left by Qi Bei. However, in the reflection of the water, her delicate lips appeared slightly swollen and rosy, like a flower bathed in morning dew.

“Ha… I finally made it out…” Qi Bei suddenly shook off the water droplets from his face, took a deep breath of fresh air, and shouted towards the sky.

As for what had happened after escaping from the illusionary realm, Qi Bei himself had no knowledge. However, it didn’t matter anymore. What mattered was that he had survived.

Ming Yue gazed at Qi Bei. Even with water droplets on his profile, it seemed as if he was enveloped in a divine light under the sunlight.

Qi Bei, who had undergone life and death struggles in the underground world and managed to break free from his own ambition in the illusions, experienced a metamorphosis like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. His perception of the world had drastically changed compared to before.

While one can follow their heart, they cannot succumb to their desires.

Qi Bei gradually grasped his own truth, albeit still in its nascent stage. However, it would eventually mature as he ascended towards the pinnacle of the world.

At that moment, Qi Bei turned his head towards Ming Yue, but she abruptly averted her gaze, fixating on the crystal-clear water in front of her.

“Is there a treasure in the water?” Qi Bei asked with a smile.

“You owe me an apology.” Ming Yue said calmly.

“Sorry.” Qi Bei shrugged and said, “I thought it was just a dream.”

“In a dream, you think it’s acceptable to…to treat me like that?” Although Ming Yue tried her best to appear calm, being forcibly kissed and touched would upset any young girl, unless she was an emotionless puppet or a wanton, flirtatious woman. Her usual calmness, wasn’t it just a manifestation of the arrogance in her bones? Even if she was proud, she was still a young girl.

“You are so beautiful, and you are my fiancee. Isn’t it normal to do something in a dream? Dare you say you haven’t done anything indecent in your dreams? Could it be that you really can’t face people?” Qi Bei rolled his eyes and said astonishingly, “In my dream, I even did something to the goddess of life.”

Ming Yue pointed at Qi Bei, her mouth agape, shocked and forgot what she wanted to say.

In this world, although divine power did not interfere with secular power, it existed as a belief and was supreme and sacred in the hearts of most wise races. Even if someone had dirty thoughts in their heart, they would never dare to openly say it. This was blasphemy against the gods.

Qi Bei smiled. This was a fact, and he believed that he was not the only one with such thoughts. He just said it out loud.

“You will be punished.” Ming Yue finally closed her mouth and looked at him. The five Holy Lands were the forces left by the goddess of life and the god of light after the War of the Gods to monitor the dark forces.

“Whether I am punished or not, it is up to the goddess of life to decide. Let’s wait until she comes to find me.” Qi Bei smiled.

“You…” Ming Yue looked at Qi Bei’s somewhat rogue smile but couldn’t say anything.

For a while, both of them were silent.

Qi Bei sat on the edge of a boulder, leisurely looking at the blue sky and white clouds. Ming Yue, on the other hand, had a cold face, in stark contrast to Qi Bei.

In the eyes of outsiders, perhaps the two of them looked more like a quarreling couple, but they didn’t think so.

“By the way, how did you fare in the Heavenly Mountain Peak?” After a long time, Qi Bei suddenly asked.

“It’s none of your business.” Ming Yue said coldly.

“Hehe, you’re my fiancee, how can it not be my business?” Qi Bei laughed and asked.

“That’s just a title,” Princess Ming Yue said.

“So you’re saying that your oath in front of the Goddess of Life was fake, aren’t you deceiving the Goddess of Life? That’s a serious offense against the gods,” Qi Bei smirked.

Ming Yue was taken aback, then she glared at Qi Bei and walked step by step towards him, standing in front of him and looking down at him.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Qi Bei asked in confusion.

“I did not deceive the Goddess of Life. I promised only the title and responsibility of being your fiancee,” Ming Yue said word by word.

Qi Bei teased her and said, “If I remember correctly, the oath was like this: bound for life, never leave or forsake each other. Can you really stay with me for a lifetime without leaving or forsaking me?”

“Can’t say it? I can just take that as nonsense, anyway I have already offended the gods, but can you do it?” Qi Bei continued.

Ming Yue stared at Qi Bei and remained silent, then suddenly turned her head and walked away.

“Hey, are you planning to feed the wild beasts by walking alone?” Qi Bei shouted.

But Ming Yue ignored Qi Bei and continued walking, soon disappearing into the distance as a small white dot.

Qi Bei sighed, the proud Princess Ming Yue had the temper of a little girl. They were still engaged and didn’t have any deep hatred, and Qi Bei even had the upper hand in the Dragon Phoenix Valley. He couldn’t just let her go like that.

So Qi Bei followed her.

Ming Yue felt Qi Bei following her and suddenly stopped, turned around and stared at him with a strange look that made Qi Bei feel a little uneasy.

This woman’s gaze was a bit eerie.
