"I'm going to open the door in" 1 , 2 , 3, I count in a low voice, my hand shaking and my breath a bit hasty, I don't think that's strange cause I haven't heard from Layla since our date , I've been thinking she's deliberately ignoring me, I've texted her ,no replies , I tried every method to reach out to her but it all ends up with no reply, I was really worried but I guess I was just getting worried for nothing, I quickly pushed all these thoughts to the back of my mind.

I exhaled sharply as I grabbed the door knob then I pulled down.

"Creak !!", The creaking sound of the door accompanied the opening door.

As soon as the door completely opened the attractive figure of Layla in the same light blue gown she has worn on our date.

Is this a coincidence cause I'm also wearing the same clothes I wore on our date ??, I sometimes wear my normal clothes when coming to Ethan's house and I change to my uniform when we are ready for school.

I couldn't take my eyes off Layla as I was completely attracted to her stunning beauty, it feels like this is the first time I'm seeing her.

Layla whose eyes were on her feet slowly lifted her head, her gaze quickly moved back to her feet and her cheek turned bright red as she saw the way Ryan was steering at her intensely.

"Are...are you going to invite me or not ??", Layla tried to fake a frown but she failed immediately.

"I'm sorry, please come in" , I stretched out my hand for her to hold but she ignored my hand and she gradually climbed the stairs at the front of the door, I leaned forward and I grabbed her hand then i pulled her towards me , her steps were hastened in the process.

There was a look of surprise on her face , I quickly shut the door as I pulled her into the house

As soon as I closed the door, I pulled Layla towards me and I hugged her tightly, "I miss you", I inhaled deeply as I said.

Layla who was unprepared for the surprising hug stood frozen without moving for a few seconds then she also wrapped her arms around me and she buried her face on my chest, "I miss you too !!", Layla said in a low voice that was almost inaudible but I was able to hear her.

We continued to hug for about a minute and I savoured every moment of it but we had to stop so I tried pulling away from Layla slowly but surprisingly I couldn't pull away as her tight grip held me in place, I smiled bloomed on my face as I was glad she wants to hug me more but my smile quickly wither away as i could hear Layla sobbing.

I forcefully pulled away from Layla's hug altho reluctantly, Layla what's the problem ??, "what happened ??", "Are you okay ??", "I asked a couple of questions at the same time as I was a bit panicked as I could see tears in her eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine", "what about you ??", Layla asked with a light smile on her face and she cleaned her tears.

"I wasn't fine before", "you had me seriously worried but right now I'm totally fine in fact, I'm energized",I replied with a smile and I pulled Layla to a couch.

"This is Ethan's house right ??", Layla asked as she takes in her surroundings.

"Yeah I always come here so we can go to school together", I said and Layla nodded her head in reply.

"So what do you want to tell me ??", I asked with a smile.

As soon as Ryan asked this question Layla's body tense up and she frowned a bit.

I ..... I , Layla paused for quite some time and she looked at my smiling face and her frown deepened.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to tell me , but I want you to know that no matter what it is I'll always be there for you" , "I want to be the one you always share your problems and secrets with", I took Layla's hand into mine as I said.

"Can you be the one I would share my problems and secrets with and will still stand by me ??", Layla asked still finding what she was about to say a bit difficult.

Without hesitation Ryan replied, I swear I will always stand by you no matter how heavy your problems or secrets are !! .

Layla inhaled sharply,"Ok !!", "Ryan I've never wanted to tell you this cause I don't want the feelings you have for me to fade away" , "I don't want you to hate me , I want you to love me more than you do" , "but I'm not comfortable that the person you love isn't the real me this person is just a mask of the true me".

You said you will always love me and always stand by me no matter my secrets and problems, I'm going to tell you who I truly am right now and I hope you love me more then you love me now , Layla inhaled and she looked at Ryan who was now holding her hand tightly and he nodded at her showing that her that he was ready for whatever she was going to tell him .

"Ryan I am a vampire !!".
