Surprise! I've Transmigrated Again

Chapter 25: Chapter 025 ⤞ The Secret of Sun Breathing

Sun Breathing is the original breathing technique.

The five breathing styles currently used by the Demon Slayer Corps are all derivatives of Sun Breathing, and they are far inferior to it.

For nearly a thousand years, the Demon Slayer Corps has been searching for the Sun Breathing — a pursuit second only to their hunt for Muzan Kibutsuji.

In their view, it is the key to defeating the Demon King himself. With it, one can greatly enhance their strength and effectively combat Muzan!

Now, they have suddenly heard news about it!

"Sun Breathing appearing near me?!"

"...Suoh-kun, it doesn't seem like you're joking." Although Kagaya couldn't see his expression, he could sense from Adam's tone that he wasn't lying.

"Of course not." Adam said, observing everyone's reactions.

Revealing this secret was a decision he had carefully considered.

With Rui's death, the Demon Slayer Corps was about to face a grim transformation — becoming the Pillar Slayer.

Soon, Kyojuro Rengoku would board the Infinity Train and battle Upper Moon Three, Akaza. He would fight until dawn before falling, initiating a series of Pillar deaths and leading the story to its final, devastating chapter.

Now was the perfect opportunity for Adam to accumulate strength. All the Pillars were present, and their breathing techniques, sword skills, and combat experience would be at his disposal.

The emergence of Sun Breathing would also boost the Demon Slayer Corps' strength. This would be extremely beneficial for both the Corps and Adam — a true win-win situation.

"Sun Breathing?" Kyojuro asked impatiently, "Where is it? Where's Sun Breathing?!"

"Tell this fabulous me first! I'll retrieve it and present it to our master!" Tengen chimed in, eager to curry favor.

"I'll go!"

"Nonsense, this should be left to me!"

"No, me!"

The Pillars, who stood at the apex of the Demon Slayer Corps, were arguing like common folk in a street quarrel — all dignity befitting their high positions forgotten.

But who could blame them? This was the Sun Breathing they had yearned for over a thousand years.

Even Muichiro, usually lost in his own world, had his eyes gleaming with eagerness as he stared intently at Adam.

"Silence." Kagaya's calm utterance instantly quieted the noisy Demon Slayer headquarters, "Please explain this matter in detail, Suoh-kun."

Adam didn't hesitate, "You just said, 'We don't know why Muzan Kibutsuji is hunting Tanjiro Kamado,' right?"

"That's correct." Kagaya said, seeming to grasp something, "Could it be related to Tanjiro?"

"Yes, it's closely related." Adam pointed at Tanjiro, "I believe Muzan Kibutsuji is hunting him out of fear."

"Fear?"

Everyone was puzzled.

"Are you familiar with Yoriichi Tsugikuni?" Adam's sudden change of topic left everyone struggling to follow.

But who wouldn't recognize that legendary name?

"Is Suoh-kun referring to the Demon Slayer Corps' predecessor who created Sun Breathing and kept Muzan Kibutsuji at bay for nearly a century?"

"That's the one!" Adam elaborated, "Legend has it that Yoriichi Tsugikuni was born with the ability to use Total Concentration Breathing and was the first swordsman to awaken the Demon Slayer Mark. He was the nemesis who nearly destroyed Muzan Kibutsuji."

"I'm surprised Suoh-kun knows these secrets, but how does this relate to Muzan Kibutsuji hunting Tanjiro?" Kagaya attempted to steer the conversation back on track.

"Patience, I'm getting there." Adam said, gesturing with his hand, "Do you know what Yoriichi Tsugikuni looked like?"

"His appearance?"

"Yoriichi Tsugikuni was born with a flame-shaped mark on his forehead, wore sun-patterned earrings, and even had black and red hair..." He trailed off, but everyone's gaze had already shifted to Tanjiro.

The mark, the sun-patterned earrings, the black and red hair... The implications were unmistakable.

"Could he be...?"

"A descendant of Yoriichi Tsugikuni? Is that possible?"

"No, it can't be..."

The Pillars were struck speechless.

How could the seemingly weak little boy before them possibly be a descendant of the legendary Yoriichi Tsugikuni?

Unworthy! He was utterly unworthy, bringing shame to his ancestor's name!

They thought of Muichiro, another Tsugikuni descendant, who had become a Pillar after wielding a sword for just two months. Now that was worthy of the Tsugikuni legacy!

But Tanjiro quickly denied it. "No, it's not like that! The mark on my forehead isn't a birthmark — it's a burn scar I got as a child while protecting my younger brother."

Hearing this, everyone's excitement suddenly deflated.

Kagaya, ever perceptive, suggested, "Could Tanjiro be hunted because he resembles Yoriichi Tsugikuni?"

As expected of the Demon Slayer Corps leader, his insight was razor-sharp.

"That explains it..."

"How absurd... For the Demon Progenitor to hunt someone merely for their appearance — how utterly unfabulous!"

"My image of the Demon Progenitor is shattered."

The Pillars sneered at Muzan's actions. Mitsuri, quick to laugh, was already in stitches, "That's too funny!"

"Indeed, indeed."

The Pillars chimed in, their opinion of the Demon King plummeting.

"I told you, a weakling like Tanjiro Kamado couldn't possibly be a descendant of the great Yoriichi Tsugikuni. He's pathetic!" Sanemi sneered, his fierce face contorting into an even more terrifying visage as he belittled the young boy.

Tanjiro remained silent, acknowledging the painful truth. He hadn't even been able to protect his own sister.

Kagaya, ever perceptive, steered the conversation back on track, "Suoh-kun, we now understand why Muzan Kibutsuji is hunting Tanjiro, but how does this relate to Sun Breathing?"

The others suddenly realized that Adam's explanation had yet to address Sun Breathing at all.

All the Pillars held their breath, their eyes fixed on him as they awaited his response.

With a mischievous smile, Adam looked at them and asked, "What if I told you that Tanjiro knows Sun Breathing? What would your reaction be?"

"WHAT—?!!!" The Pillars exclaimed in unison, their voices a cacophony of shock.

Wicked, utterly wicked!

This dramatic shift — from belittling Tanjiro to the extreme, then suddenly elevating him to legendary status — sent the Pillars' emotions on a wild ride. The abrupt reversal was electrifying.

Once again, they were struck dumb, their mouths opening and closing wordlessly.

"Tanjiro, how can you still claim you're not a descendant of Yoriichi Tsugikuni?" Someone finally managed to sputter.

After a moment of stunned silence, the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters erupted into chaos, the noise rivaling that of a bustling marketplace.

"Sun Breathing... Sun Breathing, it's actually... it's actually...!!"

"Are... are you serious?"

"Is it true? Is it really true?!!"

They looked eagerly at Adam, and upon receiving his confirmation, the Pillars turned to Tanjiro, their gazes burning with intensity.
