chapter 7
7 – Entrance exam
‘Is this the entrance examination center?’
Entering the exam hall through the front door, I looked around the inside.
Crystal balls were arranged on the podium, and magic tests were being conducted.
It seems to have come well.
uhhhhh…
dark.
just as expected.
The students near me were falling like dominoes.
I’m wearing a hood and even a cape, but I can’t stand the momentum I’m giving off.
As I came to the ecliptic and met some humans, I confirmed,
Humans were definitely weaker than the Dragonians.
The dragonians notice me from afar, sooner, get scared, and then feel great fear.
On the other hand, humans notice me more closely and slowly, and then pass out immediately as if they saw a monster.
The difference may be due to the fact that dragonians are more sensitive and have stronger mental powers than humans.
In fact, as I got off the wagon and entered the test site, the humans I encountered at close range fainted.
Humans who are a bit far away snooping on what’s going on.
While checking something else, I found the test director.
“Are you the proctor here?”
There was a person standing alone on the podium and looking around the judges.
When I look at it, I startle and hesitate.
“Yes, I am Alex, the judge here.”
It was more than 10 meters away from me, but Alex avoided my gaze.
I answer, looking at the neck under the hood.
“I am Demesis, the second prince of the Drake Kingdom. You must have already heard me. If I’m in the judging room for a long time, others will suffer. I will take the test first.”
“yes yes. Do as you please.”
Hearing what he said, Alex fell to his knees and lowered his head.
Anyway, both dragonians and humans prefer to fall down or kneel in front of me rather than standing still.
I stared at Alex silently, then hurriedly climbed onto the podium.
The examinees who had been waiting in a long line in front of the crystal ball split up around me.
Eup, ugh.
I try not to even groan recklessly.
It would be too scary if I just made a sound and looked back.
As if a man-eating monster were roaming around in front of me, I lowered my gaze, put my arms neatly on my torso, and trembled.
The exam hall was quiet, only the sound of my footsteps and careful breathing.
The aristocratic children who were waiting for the test in fancy uniforms, the commoners who were sitting in practical clothes, and the judges who were watching in solemn clothes all kept their mouths shut in front of me and averted their eyes.
“Shouldn’t we put magic into this?”
“Yes, Prince!”
Alex answers while bending down like a loyal servant.
I looked down at him as he struggled not to go against me, and injected magic into the crystal ball.
Perseok.
A crystal ball that shatters like a glass when you put a little bit of magic into it.
I don’t know if the test went well.
“This is broken. Is it correct to conduct a magic test like this?”
“That, that’s… a crystal ball that won’t break easily… that’s…”
Alex murmurs with a shocked expression.
“Is it correct to do magic tests like this?”
“Yes, that’s right! Sue, the crystal ball is not wrong! I’ve heard that if you can’t handle the original examiner’s magical power, the crystal ball will break!”
“Is that so?”
I glanced at the broken crystal ball.
It was embarrassing to break the crystal ball that measures mana, but it seems to be beneficial for the people in the exam center to leave this place quickly rather than idling around saying that I will try the test again.
“Then what will be the results of the examination?”
“Oh, it will be perfect!”
“I get it.”
After giving a short answer, I looked around the exam hall again.
Then I got down from the podium and headed for the exit.
It was time to proceed with the next inspection, the specialty check.
I broke the crystal ball, but there was no problem with the magic test to get a perfect score.
*
Huung.
The test site where Demesis left after completing the magic test.
For some reason, it seems that the air that was blocked is barely able to go through again.
Those who were lying on their stomachs barely raised their heads.
Similarly, Alex, who was kneeling down and trembling in fear as he answered Demesis, confirmed his departure several times and raised his stiff body.
“Just… what happened?”
“I was scared. You were too scared.”
The students’ voices reflected his feelings.
What was it really like?
The second prince of the Drakena kingdom, Demesis sword Leg Drakan.
He was a person beyond imagination.
I didn’t believe it even though it said on the list to avoid eye contact with him and lie down.
As soon as I saw him, I naturally acted as written.
“Crazy, is this right?”
He inadvertently spat out a curse word.
Can such a person enter the academy?
I just did a magic test and exchanged a few words, but I thought my heart was scared to death.
Alex, who is proud of his own skills, is at that level, but what about ordinary students?
“Hey, calm down.”
“Breathe, breathe. Wow! This man is not breathing!”
“Emergency squad! Paramedics! We need first aid!”
There was an uproar in the exam hall as if a storm had passed.
Alex acted urgently and put the commotion to rest.
It took 30 minutes before the test was run again.
“Come to think of it, where did all the students waiting in line go?”
“I’m going to change clothes because I’m going to pee.”
It seems that the aristocratic children who are confident in their magical powers have stopped rude.
Alex wondered what kind of confusion this was.
In the end, he left the test site, leaving the magic test to a subordinate.
I’ll have to ask the general manager of the entrance exam.
What kind of person is Demesis, and can such a scary person take the entrance exam like ordinary students?
*
I entered the special inspection room.
This test is conducted differently according to the specialties of each examinee.
Swordsmanship, magic, divine power, defense, etc.
Each of them had to apply for a field they were confident in and be recognized for their skills.
I chose swordsmanship.
I wasn’t a swordsman who learned the sword separately, but I had the ability to infuse magic into the sword.
Learning magic was forbidden in the kingdom.
It’s still strong enough, but it won’t get any stronger.
It was my father’s advice.
With only the dragon heart I already possessed and the telekinesis that I honed while lying in bed, I became a being feared by everyone.
If attack magic were added to it, it would become even more fearful, and it would become more lonely than it is now.
That’s why I didn’t learn magic.
Anyway, that’s why I take a special test with swordsmanship.
In the exam hall, test takers were waiting with a doll that looked like a scarecrow in front of them.
Until I come in, of course.
“Huh.”
“A monster, a monster… … !”
As I am approaching with only a sword and wearing a cloak and hood to receive a special test, the students who take the test are frightened and take damage as if they are seeing the death of me.
I also found the examiner in charge here.
“Is it okay to cut a doll with a sword?”
If you slash a doll that looks like a scarecrow with a sword, it is said that the strength of the doll’s strength, traces of swordsmanship, and strength of magic are checked and scored.
“No, that’s right. Demesis-sama…”
The examiner at the Special Prosecutor’s Office also knelt down and bowed her head, just as Alex did at the Magical Prosecutor’s Office.
what are you so afraid of
I gazed at the hardened test site while lying face down like those who worshiped God, then walked towards the target, the scarecrow doll.
squeak.
When he swung his sword with magic power, the doll split in half.
The crystal ball was broken at the magic test center, and the scarecrow at the special skill test center was also easily broken.
“Is it right to do this?”
I asked if the inspection was so easy, simple, and futile.
“Uh, uh, it’s a special alloy and a test equipment with magic defense engraved on it, but it doesn’t break that easily… Oh, that’s right, anyway.”
The examiner muttered with an absurd look.
“Can I get points for this?”
I wanted to test my swordsmanship ability, but I just split the target.
“Yes, ma, perfect score.”
The judge said it was a perfect score, so I looked down at the scarecrow doll lying on the floor, split in half, and left the exam room.
Did you say the next test was a practical test?
It’s easy because the entrance exam ends quickly, but it’s also a pity.
I didn’t just ride a carriage to the ecliptic to do something like this.
I hope the next exam has more to do.
*
The inspector at the specialty test site looked at the scarecrow doll lying down as if it were dead with a devastated attitude.
It was written on the list to be careful of Demesis, but it wasn’t that much of a Baron I actually saw.
Just by encountering him, he feels the danger to his life, and he dares not harbor feelings other than fear for him.
The moment I enter his domain, within his cognition, he will determine my life and death.
The judge realized why he was scared and broke into a cold sweat.
How could a body covered by a cloak exude such a bloody atmosphere?
Could he have answered if he hadn’t covered his face with a hood?
weird.
this is weird
A person like that couldn’t have entered the academy.
It has exceeded the scope of the academy’s ability to handle.
He left the special inspection center to inform the general manager of the test center.
“Ugh…”
“aaagh.”
At the special test site where Demesis passed by, the examinees lost their swords and were crawling on the floor.
They are confident in swordsmanship, so they apply for swordsmanship skills, but they don’t even care about missing the sword, which is the life of a swordsman.
That’s because the person they met was shocking.
