Chapter 74: Chapter 73 – A Favorite Shopping Mall for Roxas

Anko's POV

After that, we went to a mall, which I had never seen before because it was different from most malls in Japan. That mall was called...

"Anko-kun, this is called SM Iloilo," Roxas said to me as we stood at the entrance of that huge mall. It's one of my favorite malls."

Seeing that made me comment in awe. "Woah…"

Roxas then smiled at me. "Yup, let's go in, shall we?"

And so, we went into the mall together while I was in my invisible mode so anyone would not see me. Later as we strolled together, I saw how beautiful it was on the ground floor. Oh, nevermind. We were on the floor below the first floor. Sorry!

Later, we went to an arcade.

There, Roxas exchanged some of his money, which was in Php currency, for about two dozen tokens. He explained to me that each token cost 5 pesos, and there were token exchange machines for that. These machines accepted both cash and coins. How neat it was!

And so, Roxas began to play some games using the tokens he got as I watched nearby.

And…Roxas-kun was pretty good, and he said that one of his few favorite arcade machines was the one that drops a ball and dispenses tickets according to the number of points labeled on the hole the ball fell through. I was astonished at that new kind of game that he always liked to play.

Third person POV

A bit later, Roxas had over 100 tickets from his arcade gaming, much to Anko's surprise, and went to the cashier to exchange them for points in his arcade card, which had been his arcade companion for over 5 years now. After some time, he did so and added 100 points to his card's balance, which now stood at 1,233 points. Anko was again stunned at the number of points on his arcade card, knowing that Roxas was enjoying his life with good fruits.

After that, the duo left the arcade and went to the mall's food court to eat some tasty, cheap snacks. There Roxas bought a hotdog on a stick for 20 pesos each, a small plate of cheese-sprinkled French fries for 10 pesos each, and a glass of Gulaman juice for 20 pesos each, before going to a table for two to enjoy his snack. As his friend munched on his delicious snacks, Anko couldn't help but wonder about Roxas' life being so good in a country like the Philippines. The dead player then asked if his life before death would have been different if he had lived in the Philippines instead of Japan.

Later on, by 10:05 a.m., Roxas and Anko left the food court after Roxas cleaned up the table and went to a National Bookstore store so Roxas could shop for stationery like notebooks and pens. There the young student browsed for a few notebooks and pens as a celebration of his return from Japan after months of being away for high school. Anko was observing his activity with wonder while gazing at the price tags of the items they came across along the way.

Evil Kirito, Evil Asuna, and Evil Eugeo appeared and teleported into the National Bookstore store, much to the shock of Roxas and Anko.

Both boys then hid behind a shelf of stationery products.
