Chapter 10: Real-World Training.(2)
Walking along the streets of Yuna, Jinhong kept his eye out for any members of the Divine Sword Sect.
While he already knew where their headquarters were, and simply storming it won't be an issue, he had to send a message to anyone who thought the Cult was weak.
Of course, since the Divine Sword Sect was currently dominating the cult members in Yuna, they weren't hard to find.
In no time, Jinhong saw three of them sauntering through the streets, chatting and laughing with each other.
'Found them.'
Jinhong quickly approached them and stood in front of the trio, stopping them in their tracks.
The one in the middle, who seemed to be a senior member of the Divine Sword Sect, stepped forward and shouted, "Get out of our way! Don't you know who we are?!"
Jinhong, looking him up and down, slowly started drawing the mortal blade as he said, "Dressed in light green robes, the insignia of a sword upon their chests. The Divine Sword Sect, correct?"
Seeing Jinhong's actions, they laughed loudly as they all drew their weapons in response, ready to teach him a lesson.
"You must be a demon of the Cult! It's always a pleasure to kill you bastards! We'll make sure you won't leave here alive!"
WHOOSH!
Holding his sheathe in one hand and the mortal blade in the other, Jinhong moved in a blur as he appeared behind the trio, sending out multiple slashes in the blink of an eye.
"Huh? What is going on-"
That was the senior member could say before he died on the spot along with the other two members, their bodies all cut into little pieces.
Grabbing all three of their heads, Jinhong slowly walked towards the front door of their Sect, proudly displaying his trophy to the people around.
Of course, this caused a large panic. Some people started flocking toward the Divine Sword Sect to tell them the news.
This was what Jinhong wanted. Every member of the Sect to be there before he started fighting them. Leaving a trail of blood through the streets got everyone's attention, no matter if they were part of the Cult or the Divine Sword Sect.
On the way to the compound, many members of the the Divine Sword Sect tried to stop him, but, they only ended up adding their heads to his collection.
By this point, Jinhong had made a basket out of the robes of one of the dead Sect members, using this to hold the increased amount of heads.
Arriving at the compound of the Divine Sword Sect, several members could be seen standing in front of their gates, weapons drawn, expressions cold.
In front of them was an older man with his hands clasped behind his back and a younger man dressed in pink robes standing next to him, his expression aloof as he stared at Jinhong.
"You must be the leader of this Sect, and you, you must be the one from the Mount Hua Sect. I offer you this greeting."
THUD!
Jinhong threw the bag of heads at their feet, smiling as he saw the old man's livid expression.
"You damn demon!!"
The leader of the Divine Sword Sect drew his weapon and pointed it forward, screaming, "Everyone! Let's finish this demon together in honor of our dead brethren!! Gooooo!"
Angry shouts sounded out as everyone rushed at Jinhong with their movement techniques, incensed at the humiliation caused by their enemy.
"So slow..."
Bringing his sword back into his sheathe, Jinhong held the sheathe behind him, his eyes focused on the army of martial artists rushing him.
As he held it, little threads of black and white Qi flowed into the sheathe, seemingly powering up the blade within.
'Closer...just a bit closer...'
The moment the martial artists got close to him, close enough to where he could feel the Qi from their swords piercing his skin...
WHOOSH!
Jinhong gripped the hilt of the mortal blade and pulled it out instantly, sending sharp shockwaves flying out in a cone shape in front of him.
'Dragon Flash.'
In a flash, just as the name implied, Jinhong killed dozens of Sect members. Their bodies were cut up and mutilated, their blood splattered all over the compound.
Stricken by fear from the attack, some of the Sect members started to hesitate, but Jinhong didn't even give them to think.
In a blur, Jinhong stepped into the middle of the crowd and plunged his sword into the neck of the closest enemy, twisting it aggressively.
'Bloodsmoke Ninjutsu.'
As he pulled out the blade, Jinhong turned the enemies body into bloodsmoke, blinding everyone within 15 feet. Now, they were just lamb for the slaughter.
Their forces quickly descended into chaos as Jinhong became the bringer of death, killing them before they could even see him.
"Dammit!! Everyone get back! I will take care of hi-"
WHOOSH!
"I've been waiting for you to act, old man."
Jinhong plunged the black mortal blade into the Sect leaders chest and used him as a platform to vault into the skies, quickly decapitating him as he flew towards the young man from the Mount Hua Sect.
Now it was time for the real fight to begin.
"Hmph! I will not be as easy to defeat, demon! Plum Blossom Cleave!"
Pink sword aura engulfed the young man's sword as he brought it down upon Jinhong's body, fully hoping to kill him in one strike.
CLANG!
Jinhong deflected it, but he was sent back from the force of the attack.
"Good attack. But that was your last chance to finish me off."
Red Qi surrounded the black mortal blade, enveloping it with Jinhong's sword aura.
"Don't think you're the only one with sword aura, blossom boy."
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
The two exchanged a multitude of sword strikes, destroying the surroundings as they countered each other with every move.
"Fluttering Shadow Petals."
The young man used a sword technique that increased his speed explosively, slipping past Jinhong's defenses with ease.
The young man instantly slashed Jinhong three times across the chest and impaled him through his heart, brutally twisting his sword within his body as he stared him in the eye.
"All you demons can only do so much. Come back in a hundred years when your sword technique has matured."
Slowly removing his sword from Jinhong's body, he watched as the demon fell to the ground, seemingly dead from his greivous injuries.
Sheathing his blade, the young man looked at the dead bodies around him, scoffed at the traumatized survivors and turned around, heading back into the compound.
"Urgh!"
The moment he started walking back, he suddenly felt something sharp impaling him through his chest, completely taking him by surprise.
"H-how are you still alive?!"
Jinhong, his gaze still firmly focused on his enemy in front of him, simply replied, "Never turn your back on the enemy until he's dead."
The sound of flesh being cut could be heard as Jinhong split the young man in half from his chest down, instantly killing him.
'...I still have a long way to go.'
Jinhong took a deep breath as he cleaned the blood off of his blade with robes, sheathing it right after.
'For a moment I was defeated, but my body was too resilient to die from such injuries. I was lucky. Maybe I should have took off my bracers against him...'
Looking around at the surviving Sect members running away in fear, Jinhong let them go and simply walked into the compound of the Sect, planning to loot it for everything it's worth.
'I just need to find another cultivation technique...'
