Chapter 4: The First Game
Beacon Hill High School
Scott was riding his bike through the school parking lot, where he parked his bike in front of the school and hung his helmet on the handlebars. Jackson Withers, driving a blue Porsche, parked next to him. Jackson got out of the car and closed the door, looking at him with disdain. At the same time, there was the sound of a car in the distance. It was a Nissan GTRR35, which was Alec's car. He got out and looked at Jackson's car with disdain. Alec walked up to Scott, which made Jackson look at Alec angrily, saying that Alec ignored him and looked at him with disdain.
Jackson: Hey, who the hell are you? Jackson walked up to Alec and grabbed him by the collar.
Alec looked at Jackson with indifference, then sneered a little. He was not afraid of Jackson's gesture at all.
Alec: You don't deserve to know my name, you piece of shit.
Jackson gritted his teeth and pulled Alec's collar harder.
Jackson: "Huh... New kid! Don't you have no sense of manners here? Are you going to stand here and look down on me like this and then curse at me?"
Scott, who was standing next to him, saw what was happening and quickly started walking towards the two.
Scott: "Jackson! Stop it!
Jackson turned to look at Scott with an unhappy expression.
Jackson: "Scott, my business is none of your business!"
Alec smiled faintly and pushed Jackson away with his strength, but it made Jackson slip and fall far.
Alec Huh, see? You're just a piece of shit that only knows how to bully weak cores. Let's go, Scott.
The scene cuts to when the two meet Stiles.
Stiles, okay, let's see your wound. Scott lifts his shirt to show Stiles, who has already finished dressing the wound with gauze. Stiles asks Scott if it still hurts. Scott says it doesn't hurt, but it still feels numb. Huh, Alec, where are you going next?
Alec: I guess I'll have to wait for the school director. You guys go to class.
English class
[Scott and Stiles enter the first period of English class and sit down. Teacher Curtis starts the lecture immediately without introducing himself.]
Mr. Curtis: As you all know, a body was found in the woods last night.
[Scott smiles and looks at Stiles. Sitting in a row and column behind him, he winks at him knowingly.]
Mr. Kurtis: I'm sure you're all thinking about all the scary things that's going on, but I'm here to tell you that the police have arrested a suspect, which means you can listen to your lesson plan at your desk, which will summarize the content of this semester without batting an eye.
[Scott and Stiles exchange another unnerving glance before Scott suddenly hears a phone ringing so loud he thinks it's next to him. However, as he looks around the room, he sees no one answering, causing him to frown in confusion. Finally, a woman's voice draws his attention to the row of windows to his left, where he sees a brown-haired girl sitting on a bench at the foot of the school's front steps. She's just answered the phone, which she holds between her ear and shoulder as she searches through her gray canvas bag. The fact that he hears her talking as if she's sitting right in front of him only makes him more confused.]
Alison: Mom, the first day, I called three times. It's a bit too long.
[Her mother says something incoherent on the other end of the line.]
ALLISON: Everything except the pen. Oh my god, I totally forgot my pen. Okay, okay. I gotta go.
Then, love you.
[Allison hangs up and puts the phone away. Scott continues to eavesdrop as the vice principal comes out to greet her.]
Vice principal: Sorry to keep you waiting. You said San Francisco wasn't where you grew up?
ALLISON: No, but we've been living there for over a year, which is unusual for my family.
Vice principal: This is the new transfer student with you. This is Alex Williams. Alex is Alison Argent. She looks like you're new here too. Get to know each other.
ALISON: Nice to meet you, Alison.
ALLISON: Nice to meet you, Alex.
Scott was still shocked by what happened that he could hear the distant sound. Scott continued to look at Alison and Alec. Alec who felt Scott's gaze told Scott that Scott you looked at her like a pervert.
Scott: Hearing that, he was shocked that Alec knew that he heard what they were saying.
The vice principal brought the two into the classroom and then introduced them to the other students.
Vice principal: This class is Alison Argent and Alec Williams. They are our new students. Please try to make them feel good.
Mr. Curtis: Mr. Argent sits behind Mr. McCall and Mr. Williams sits behind our Mr. Slinky.
Alison who looked timid walked to the desk behind Scott while Scott handed her a pen. "Alison, thank you."
On Alec's side, he walked over to Stiles and greeted him. "Hey, my friend, what's up?"
Alec: Nodding back at Stiles before sitting down behind him.
In the quiet classroom after the introductions, Mr. Curtis began to explain the new semester's curriculum. While some students seemed attentive, others turned to talk quietly. Scott still couldn't take his eyes off Alison. She looked elegant in a way he had never seen before.
Alec looked at Scott knowingly before leaning in to whisper in Style's ear.
Alec: "Looks like your friend has a crush on the new kid."
Stiles chuckled softly but replied in an equally soft voice.
Stiles: "Hey, you don't know much about Scott. He's the type who'll go ask for his number after five minutes of looking at someone."
Scott looked at both of them with an accusing look in his eyes.
Scott: "I heard that."
Both Alec and Styles laughed together. In the midst of their fun, a loud voice called out from the back row.
Lacrosse Field
[The lacrosse team is gathered on the field. The athletes are warming up by tossing the ball back and forth. The stands are starting to fill with students who have come to watch the game. The sounds of talking and laughing are loud.]
[Scott and Styles jog onto the field. Scott looks unusually confident as Styles starts to pant after his best friend.]
Stiles: "Hey, you're running so fast! Are you going to the Olympics or something?!"
Scott: (chuckles) "I told you, this season, I'm not going to be a backup anymore. I'll do the first line!"
Stiles: "Good, then I won't have anyone to complain to! My best friend!" (Pretends to sigh)
[As the two walk to the bench, Coach Bobby Finstock walks in, shouting loudly.]
Coach: "McCall! William! Get over here!"
[The two turn around to see Alex, dressed in his sports uniform, already talking to the coach.]
Alex: (turns around to smile) "Looks like we'll meet on the field, Scott."
Scott: "What? You're playing too!"
Alex: "Just trying to show you guys what you can do." (Shrugs indifferently)
[The coach pats both of them on the shoulders before tossing Scott his equipment.]
Coach: "McCall! You're the goal scorer, William, you're in the middle. This field is yours. Do your best!"
[Scott turns to look at Alex, who's smiling confidently. Stiles whispers to Scott.]
Stiles: "Dude, how good do you think Alex can be?"
Scott: "I don't know, but he seems to have something..."
Start of the game
[The game starts, the cheers are deafening. Scott showed unusual speed that caught the attention of his teammates and the audience. At the same time, Alec showed quick and precise movements. The two of them surprisingly became a good pair.]
[During the game, Scott passed the ball to Alec who jumped up to receive it and scored a beautiful goal. The cheers were thunderous.]
Alec: (turning to Scott) "I told you, I'm good."
Scott: (smiling) "You're not bad either."
[While the two were smiling at each other, Jackson standing on the opposite side looked at them with dissatisfaction.]
Jackson: (gritting his teeth) "What's going on with those two!"
[The cheers were thunderous when Scott and Alec's team took the lead again. Scott began to notice the increasing power in him, his speed, accuracy, and ability to move naturally.
Coach: (shouting from the sideline) "That's right! That's it! McCall! William! You're my dream team!"
[Jackson playing on the opposite side looked frustrated. He tried to snatch the ball from Alec but was easily dodged by Alec. Alec dribbled the ball past Jackson. Before passing the ball to Scott to score another goal]
Jackson: (Shouting angrily) "Hey! What are you guys playing at?!"
Alex: (Smirking) "Just playing the game... Or can't you fight?"
[Jackson rushes closer to Alex even harder. At the same time, Scott starts to feel something inside him that's not right. He can clearly hear everyone's breathing in the stadium and feels the movement around him before it happens.]
Scott: (Muttering to himself) "What is this...?"
At the same time, Styles sitting in the stands notices something wrong with Scott.
[Back on the field, Jackson doesn't give up. He uses every trick to block Alex, but is gently pushed by Alex until he falls to the ground again.]
Jackson: (Shouting angrily) "You're a troublemaker!"
Alex: (Turning to Scott) "Do you think it can get any weaker?"
Scott: (Laughing) "Don't tease him too much. It'll get even crazier."
[The coach blows the whistle for the end of the game. Scott and Alex's team wins. The cheers are deafening as everyone runs over to congratulate them. Scott and Alec shake hands with a smile.]
Stiles: (Runs onto the field to his friends) "You did it! I think we should celebrate tonight!"
Alec: (Turns around and smiles) "If you're going to celebrate, don't forget to save a spot for me."
[As they laugh together, Jackson looks from a distance, his eyes filled with resentment and disapproval.]
Jackson: (Gritting his teeth and speaking softly) "I'll find a way to get rid of you, William..."
