As a handsome fit man with silver hair is walking down the alley, he hears shouts, threatening someone.

He quickly ran to where the shouts were heard and saw an extremely beautiful woman with a plump figure and blue hair being threatened by a group of 5 thugs each holding a different weapon, holding her at knife point.

"Oi! You bastards! Let go of her and fight me you sick sons of bitches!"

The silver haired man shouted at the thugs while dashing at them, throwing a small rock at one of their backs.

The thugs looked behind themselves as the rock hit one of them in the back, knocking him over.

When the thugs processed what is currently happening, the silver haired man has came in front of them, sweeping his leg and knocking the rest of them down.

The silver haired man then pulled the blue haired woman behind him as he backed away a short distance.

The thugs quickly got up and all charged at the silver haired man, attacking him with their weapons.

"You got a death wish punk?!"

"We'll kill ya!"

"And then we'll assault the hottie over your corpse!"

"And then we'll kill her too!"

The silver haired man knew that he was going to die this time, with nothing being able to prevent it.

"Girl. Run away and get the police as soon as possible. Don't stay here as the only way one of us will survive is if you get to safety."

The silver haired man quickly prepared a course of action to have a chance of taking all of them down, as he also ran at the thugs, dodging the two thugs holding knives, took 2 clean blows from 2 thugs holding a baseball bat and a metal bar respectively.

He spit out saliva as the wind was knocked out of him, as he continued to push forward, grabbing the weapon that the last thug was holding which was also a metal bar.

'This is going to be the end of my life, isn't it. I'm also hearing things now. If this was a novel, I should be reincarnated after dying and become the child of luck. That would be awesome, but it won't happen. I've had the most average life up until my death, but at least I am finally doing something awesome, like a protagonist.'

When the silver haired man looked back however, he was attacked by the remaining 3 thugs at the same time, getting stabbed in the gut, getting his left arm broken, and having a few of his ribs shattered.

"You fucking idiot! I'm fighting these fuckers because I want to prevent them from doing whatever they want to do to you! Don't you understand the situation?! I'm going to die anyway as I have no shot at beating 5 armed thugs without being fatally injured! The least you can do is to make my death worthwhile! So run as fast and far as you can or go to a police station! Make my death mean something, don't make me die for nothing!"

The silver haired man shouted annoyed and in pain, ferociously fighting the thugs with no concern for his life which stunned the woman, who can't understand why he would protect her when he didn't know her.

Even though you somehow look familiar, I know that I haven't seen you, and the only place I feel like I could see you, is in a manga, anime, or light novel. "You are joking right? What a stupid reason to save someone at the cost of your life. What do you think you saw me in?"

The woman asked dumbfounded before asking Ted.

"I don't know, but it would probably be a fantasy genre. How wonderful it would be to live in a fantasy type of world with swords and magic. Even I can only hope to see it in my dreams. As I'm going to die anyways, why can't I wish for something bold from whatever god or extremely powerful being is watching?!"

Ted said with an inexplicable brilliance in his eyes, feeling his life fade away, trying to keep his mind off of the onset of fear.

The woman looks to be a fifteen or sixteen year old-looking girl having an imperfect yet complete beauty, as if she was trapped in the very moment when she matured from a girl to an adult. Her heterochromatic eyes glisten in deep crimson and light sky blue. She has a set of pure white fangs.

"How did you get here little guy? Did someone abandon you?"

The woman asked Ted some questions as if she was actually asking herself, before she sighed and picked Ted up from the basket which he was in, before taking him inside the massive palace and having one of the butlers prepare things for Ted.

The woman took Ted to her room as she talked to him.

"My name is Luminous Valentine, and I am going to adopt you as a brother. Your name is Ted Shadowflame and you can call me Luminous or Big Sister Luminous.

When you grow up a little I will begin to have my subordinates train you so you can protect yourself from danger."

As Luminous reached the room where Ted will stay, she opened the door and had the butler place the cradle prepared for Ted in the room.

Luminous then placed Ted in the cradle before playing with him for a while, and leaving afterwards.

Ted looked around and made sure that there was no one there before asking in his head.

'I've been reincarnated again, and in the world of Tensura no less. I guess that my first reincarnation was to the world where Rimuru was in when he was a human, and now I am in the Cardinal World.'
