That Time I Got Reincarnated By Veldanava

Chapter 27: Reunion Between God And The Queen Of The Elementals

"Come here Kenya," Shizu instructed as she pulled the red head boy to her so she could fix his robe to keep him as warm as possible.

"Thanks miss," Kenya said and received a smile back from his teacher.

"Ok, everyone ready?" Henrik asked he entered the courtyard Shizu and her students were waiting.

"Yes Lord Henrik," All the kids said in unison. For the first few days after they arrived, Kenya refused to address Henrik the 'proper' way and even though Henrik didn't mind, Shizu always corrected him and now it became natural to him.

"Ok, headcount," Henrik said "Kenya."

"Here."

"Gale."

"Here."

"Alice."

"Here."

"Ryota."

"Here."

"Chloe."

"Here."

"Excellent. Now kids, I'm not sure how religious you all were back in your old lives, but you've never met him before so if you were religious, he's a big deal," Henrik said before he gestured towards Veldanava.

"This is Veldanava. He's Veldora's older brother and a friend of ours. He's also the one who made the worlds, all of them, and he is the one on our world, we called God. Or Allah. Or Buddha. He's had a lot of names but their all the same being. The Star King Dragon, Veldanava."

All the kids stood before him in awe. Chloe more than the others. It seems in her old life, she was from France, and being an orphan, she was raised to be religious.

"Are you really God?" Chloe asked him.

"How about we just stick with Veldanava? God just sounds so, high and mighty. I'm just a builder who wants to be with his daughter, wife and siblings. Nothing more than that."

Shizu, seeing she needs to correct them, quickly spoke up.

"It's technically Lord Veldanava. Or His Royal Highness. Lord Henrik made him and Lord Veldora princes of the kingdom. So you are to bow and address him as Lord Veldanava."

"Yes miss," All the kids said before turning to Veldanava and slightly bowing. "It's an honour to meet you Lord Veldanava."

"The honours all my kids. So, are we ready to go? Ramiris has had the same Labyrinth since long before I died, so I can just teleport us there."

"Yes. Veldanava, when we get there. Can we expect any hostiles. Ramiris is a Demon Lord and we need to make sure the kids are safe," Henrik asked. He already knew they'd be fine but he wanted to make Shizu and the kids feel better.

"Yes, we'll be okay. Ramiris might be called a Demon Lord, but that's only because her friends are and she didn't want to be left out.

I honestly don't think she has a bad bone in her body. Just be kind to her and she'll be kind back. If you're mean to her, she'll reminisce about the old days and remind you how powerful she used to be.

But she was weakened saving my world from my daughter, so I should probably offer to restore her," Veldanava replied to play along with Henrik.

"Okay then. Kids, to keep you as safe as possible, I want you to stay close to Veldanava. As us three adults are now, he is the strongest of us. Veldanava, the world might not be as either of us remember, so if there is any hostilities in the Labyrinth, go big and draconic.

Shizu, should there be any hostilities, don't fight. If you use Ignis, the kids might be caught in the middle of it. You just focus on deflecting and redirecting the enemies to me and Veldanava.

And kids, if at any point it looks too dangerous or you get to scared remember one thing."

"What's that?" Alice asked.

"Have no fear students. Because Camelot's big three are here," Henrik said with almost child like excitement in his voice which made the kids feel better.

Especially Alice who was secretly terrified of going into the domain of a Demon Lord to ask for help.

"Camelot's big three, heh? Have no fear. I hope you haven't copied that Henrik," Veldanava said with a jokingly mocking tone.

"Quiet," Henrik said clearly annoyed which made the kids laugh a little.

"And yes. It's what I was planning on officially calling us. Me, you and Shizu are the strongest we've got after all. Followed closely by Ranga and quite further behind Veldora. Just don't tell Veldora I said that," Henrik snickered.

"Of course. Now, everyone ready," Veldanava asked.

"Yes Lord Veldanava," All the kids except Chloe spoke up.

"What's wrong Chloe," Shizu asked, her voice full of concern.

"It's just. Well. Lord Henrik, I'm scared. This is the first time Ranga won't be with me since you saved me. I don't think I can do it," Chloe expressed which made all the adults feel sad for her. After a moment, Henrik knelt down and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"My dear girl, while we're away, it's Veldora's job to keep the place safe. And it's Ranga's job to make sure Veldora doesn't accidently destroy everything.

I understand after what happened to you, you have every reason to still be scared, but I promise. I will never let anything like that happen again. Shizu will rip the very fabric of existence apart to keep all you kids safe. And honestly, I'm not sure anyone could stop her from doing that.

Plus, you were clearly religious. We have literal God with us. And if that doesn't make you feel better, I can summon Ranga whenever I want.

Let's just try to go without him, just for a bit. If we get there and after a few minutes you want him, I'll summon him. Deal?"

"Promise?" Chloe asked with the sweet innocence only a child could possess.

"Promise. I know I failed my first promise to you and Shizu, but I won't ever fail another one."

"Okay then. Deal."

Veldanava, looking at Chloe and seeing a young girl who feels scared and alone, reached out and pulled her closer to him. "Stay next to me little one. I'll keep you safe. And does God ever break a promise to a human?"

"No Lord Veldanava," Chloe said as she lightly gripped onto Veldanava.

"Okay then, since we're all ready. Let's go," Veldanava said before teleporting everyone into the Labyrinth.

When they arrived, they were greeted by small elementals, ones that hadn't yet gained sentience, that were the only source of light.

Almost as soon as they entered, they heard a feminine and sheepish voice.

"Leave this place. Turn away humans."

It was clear to Henrik and Veldanava who this voice belonged too, but the kids were starting to get scared. They all gathered around Veldanava as Chloe unsheathed her sword.

"Lord Henrik," Chloe whimpered, "I'm scared. Can you summon Ranga now."

Hearing the fear in her voice, the paternal instincts in Veldanava immediately kicked in. It seems seeing a crying girl as innocent as Chloe reminded him of his own daughter who he failed.

"RAMIRIS," Veldanava yelled at the top of his lungs, shocking everyone around him.

"Stop with that. You're scaring children. Come on out, it's me. Veldanava."

As soon as he said this, Henrik noticed a tiny head pop out from behind a wall. Once it saw Veldanava's face, it immediately moved and started getting closer.

"VELDANAVA," Ramiris shouted with joy in her voice.

"RAMIRIS. My bestest friend," Veldanava shouted with as much enthusiasm and he started literally hopping to her. When they met in the middle, they grabbed each others hands and starting hopping around the room like schoolgirls.

"Bestie," They both said in unison with large smiles on their face.

Henrik, Shizu and the kids were all stunned, Henrik more than the others.

"What's happening?" Kenya asked.

"I've no idea. But I wish I had my phone so I could take a picture of this and never let him live it down.
