Chapter 30: Level 100
Chapter 30
'Will it be enough?' I asked Allison.
[As long as you have the beacon, the distress signal would alarm you and the veil acts as a teleport]
'I wanted a teleportation skill.' I asked.
[You already have the authority of space]
The inventory. No wonder it was unlimited. 'Then what about my other authorities?' I asked.
[Your second authority would unlock at level 100]
[At level 200, you will unlock three more]
'What about after that?' I asked since Allison stopped there.
[Unlock them first]
[The rest come later]
Which also means that I do not have the authority to information yet. But now I know what I will be getting at level 100, so I guess it is time to visit a dungeon.
=======
Authorities. I call them authorities but they are the powers I learned from my masters. Thirteen authorities of thirteen different natures.
Ice, fire, phoenix, space, etc. While life was my main research. And adding in death, I was a unique existence who had mastered so many powers on my own. A feat, even my father can't accomplish.
The problem is, at such a low level, I doubt I would be able to fully use the authority. Otherwise, if I could, no one in this world would be able to stop me.
[You have killed a Pyro Ville]
[You have gained 1000000 Exp]
[You have leveled up]
[You are now level 100]
[Your party member Rose is now level 183]
[Your party member Maximillian Specter is now level 132]
A complete dungeon of D rank had to be cleared for me to increase just seven levels.
Rose's growth was something else since she would soon be entering the B rank after a lot of hard work. She had the advantage of doing that. I couldn't increase my stats naturally.
However, if I just increase my stats, my level wouldn't increase but for Rose, the more her stats increase, her level also increases.
Rose's most prominent stat was agility. Her speed was already on the same ranks of C+ and soon it would be B-.
As for Max, it was safe to say that Max was average. Even with the help of the party system and my rigorous training, his increase wasn't that much.
And his stats were quite well-rounded and average as well. In other words, he didn't excel in one area. And he also doesn't have any skills from his blessing so his only weapons are his stats.
The more his stats increase, the stronger he becomes. I will have to focus more on Max than Rose as Rose seemed to be a machine who would suck and integrate whatever I teach her.
Anyway, now back to me.
[You have obtained 100 APs]
[You must select one authority from the following authorities]
[Authority of Fire: Monarch of Flame]
[Authority of Ice: Pharaoh of Frost]
[Authority of Earth: The Pangea]
Damn! No authority of the phoenix. I was hoping to get a supportive ability rather than an offensive or defensive one.
Earth is mostly defensive and slow in usage. Fire is mostly offensive but deadly so it is very difficult to control on low levels.
Ice is moderate in all things. Defense-wise and offensively, ice is okay but its real use is crowd control. It is fast and quick to form so in that regard; it is better than earth.
It is controllable as it is not lethal unless made to be. Fire is lethal no matter what.
[You have chosen, Authority of Ice]
[You have gained the skill, Monarch of Frost LV: Max]
Whoa! Are you serious? Such a high-level skill at such low stats. At least give me something I can use at the moment.
Now monarch of frost is a great skill. It is as its name suggests, complete control over ice. But it takes a lot of concentration and I doubt I will be able to use it any time before my INT reaches the levels of A+.
Still, it was a great skill. Totally worth all the side effects that come with it later on after the skill expires or the amount of energy, or in this case, the MP needed to use it.

My status had changed a lot. My physical stats were still at only D- rank but the INT stat was in the ranks of C.
Skill-wise, none of my other skills had evolved yet and some were barely used, but they had increased by a lot and I would still get twelve more skills indefinitely.
My hope was to get skills that are related to death and life. I need them more than the authorities.
That was the part until good news. The bad news was about to come. I could just feel it.
[You will no longer gain Exp from killing E-rank enemies]
Of course. The old-school game penalty. You don't gain experience from lower-level enemies. That wouldn't have happened if I didn't have a system though since even ants have death so I would get it even if I kill ants.
Just that it would be so minuscule that I would have to kill all the ants on the planet to increase just one of my stat by one.
The system doesn't count that. This means that if I kill a D- awakened now, I would gain only 10 EXP. 'Am I right?'
[Yes]
'Yet the experience bar is still the same.'
[It is]
'Which would mean that I would have to kill 100000 D- ranks to level up'
[Correct]
'F*ck.' The awakeners and monsters of this world will run out before I would be able to reach level 500.
[The next penalty would apply at level 200]
[Good luck]
F*ck!
=====
"That was amazing, your highness. You took care of a D-rank boss all by yourself." Rose praised while we were returning from the dungeon on our horses.
That's because of my skills and strategies and not to forget, experience. Otherwise, that boss was at the same level as Rose and Rose was 83 levels higher than me.
If Rose and I went against each other right now, I would win only due to my experience. Skills and strategies would be meaningless before her massive talent.
Anyway, my initial goal of reaching the hundredth level is fulfilled. Although I want to clear more dungeons, I was only granted these dungeons because of their value. Sh*t garbage in other words.
I was a rival to the throne. Those with authority wouldn't let me use a dungeon to increase my power and sharpen my skills.
I could ask my newly allied force, the Hayez family to let me use their dungeons, but one, it is very far away. At least a month's travel if I go by envoy.
And two, because it would attract the attention of others. Although I'm not afraid of them, it never hurts to have some cards hidden.
Besides, I doubt we are at the stage where they would just let me use their precious dungeons. Dungeons and gates are two different things.
Although gates are equally precious since they appear from time to time and disappear once you finish them, dungeons stay.
But that doesn't mean that they are full always. First, the boss regenerates and then it creates new subordinates and it takes time for a dungeon to fully get stocked.
Asking them to let me hunt them even if I let them keep the bodies was too good to be true.
But it's not like I'm in an urgent need or something. I will still reach the stage of B- in strength and agility in six months and now that I have AP points, I can raise one stat to the B- ranks.
I'm not going to use them now but if I do, my first choice would be INT stat since it's my main offense and all of my skill's effects depend heavily on it.
The second most important is CHR, also known as charisma. Different from charm, charisma increases my chances of being liked by people. The more my charisma is, the more people will like me and rarely refuse me.
My third most important stat would be agility because none of my authorities or skills are speed-based which means I will have to rely on natural speed.
Anyway, I now have a clear chart sheet of my growth plans. It's my living plan that needs to be decided.
======
"And this came today?" I asked the knight who had come to give me a court order. Apparently, there had been a problem with some noble and they wanted to discuss how to solve it.
The discussion is only between the imperial family, the elders, and the Silver Sun knights.
"Yes, Your Highness. And your presence is ordered." The silver knight replied before bowing and leaving.
What a bold word. Ordered. He could have just said that my presence was necessary or mandatory but he had to show me that my position doesn't matter to him.
I didn't take it to heart though. He would say the same to any of the other imperial family members. Silver knights were directly under the emperor. Except for the emperor, even his direct descendants couldn't order them around.
I shortly left as well, leaving Max and Rose to practice the techniques I had given them. Rose is coming along greatly in them hence the dagger. Max isn't doing very well but he won't be at least a train wreck.
On my way to the courtroom, just as I was about to turn the corner, unlike every rom-com anime, I bumped into a man.
[Finally your place]
"Watch where you're going!" He yelled at me. The fourth imperial prince and the younger brother of the first crown candidate, Elliot.
'Can I cut him up?'
[The most he would give you is 1000 Exp]
Damn! I just stared at him and smiled. I moved aside and gestured with my hand to let him go in first.
"Humph." He harrumphed but refrained from calling me names.
[How did you know?]
'I could see his shirt from the corner.' Apparently, Junior was waiting for a long time to create a scene. But the scene could only be created from my side so I would be the only one to get scolded and scolded here usually means getting beaten half to death or being humiliated in front of the whole empire.
Anyway, I entered after him and took my place which was above him even though I was younger than him. The rest of the family was looking at me like a naked Stone Age museum piece. Strange but curious.
We all stood up when the emperor entered the room accompanied by the head and first elder. The commander of the Silver Sun Knights wasn't here today.
"We are gathered here to talk about Yesral County. Is there anyone here who is not familiar with the situation?" The emperor began and asked.
I raised my hand and he explained the whole situation to me. I remained quiet while he took a minute to explain and asked, "Any other questions?"
I again raised my hand to which he frowned but nodded anyway. "I am told that I also have a sister yet I missed her at my trial, the head elder's birthday, and today as well."
Seraphina Von Deus Lux. The second most dangerous villain in the novel. She was nicknamed by the author, my father, as 'The Girl Who Suffered.'
Ever since I had come to this world, I hadn't seen her. I needed to and wanted to. If there is a chance she can come to my side, then this is a better opportunity than any.
