Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Earlier right when Azazel and Issei had teleported out of the church, Rias and her peerage had arrived to scope the area.
"It was here a moment ago." Rias quietly spoke to herself while examining the destruction that was unleashed. "The power that I felt was unimaginably powerful... It was easily reaching Satan Class." Speaking about the moment when Ddraig had taken over Issei's unconscious body, Issei's power had reached levels of power that someone like Rias, who is only High Class, would have trouble grasping the magnitude of energy being released. "Akeno, did we ever check this area when searching for the fallen angels?"
Akeno, who was right beside her king, shook her head before speaking with sorrowness when seeing the dead body of a human victim. "We checked the upper premise for a brief search, but we never knew that there was a lower hidden level to this church."
"They must have created this recently to keep themselves hidden from us. Now with that, two humans had been victims. One of them is, unfortunately, not with this plane of existence anymore." Rias spoke before getting enraged. "If only I were to have been quicker and smarter about where they could have been hidden. They were right under our noses, yet we were blinded with our hatred to the church."
Rias could only sigh before teleporting away from the church. The mission that she set out to complete had been a failure. The fallen angels had escaped her grasp.

"What will you do now?"
"Training. Nothing but training."
Ddraig, upon hearing that and knowing that this most likely won't be as efficient as before since Issei would be going to school now, began asking some questions by what his partner truly meant by that. "How will you train? You now have school to go to with devils to worry about and fallen angels to watch out for."
"It's quite obvious. I'll be ditching school and leaving on my own for a while." Once saying that, Ddraig was quite surprised and immediately replied.
"Aren't you being a little carefree about your parents?"
"Ddraig, my parents will be safe because they are in devil territory. The devils still don't know that I am finally out of the hospital meaning that they don't know of my existence in the supernatural world. The devils will simply continue taking care of the land, taking care of pesky strays and other dangerous beings. The fallen angels just think I am already dead. They already have "completed" their mission."
"Which means that your parents will be fine for a little while. Until you reveal yourself in full display in the supernatural world. I see..."
"You and I both know that I am far from doing that. Until I become at least strong enough to fight that fallen angel from before, I don't think I am ready."
Ddraig chuckled at how naive his partner was when thinking about the supernatural world. "Just becoming a little bit more powerful than you are now will basically make you a magnet to nearly all beings around the world. Power attracts power, just a little bit more will make you approachable by many powerful entities due to your connection with me and your draconic aura."
Issei, once hearing what his partner said, quickly responded with uncertainty clearly in his voice. "What do you suggest I do with my training?"
"What we must do is work on your unstable emotions. All your power is drain out from emotions, specifically anger. The moment you lose control is the moment that you become a target. Leaders from all over the world will hunt you down until you join a side."
Nodding in understanding what his partner was saying, even the fallen angel's leader had spoken about this. It was all related with his aura of a dragon which, even after being told by the others, Issei still didn't understand the scope of how powerful it was. From what he was being told, he was just the incarnation of potential with both the Boosted Gear and the aura of a dragon. Walking along in the middle of the night, Issei continued thinking and speaking with his partner. That was until he finally arrived at his house.
Opening his door, he knew that he was going to get an earful from his parents about the idea that he suggested, but he wanted to make sure that they would be safe. Having him out of the area would remove them from being targeted from the devils which would indirectly keep them safe from the fallen angels. Issei hoped that they did. The moment that he steps foot into his home, he could hear the pots and the sound of something being boiled from the kitchen. Knowing that it was his mother that was there, he decided that he would speak with her.
"Hey mom."
His mother turned around with a smile on her face. "Issei, you're just in time for dinner."
"I wanted to tell you something."
Seeing the serious expression and the way that he was speaking, Miki quickly dropped her carefree demeanor and quickly adopted her own serious expression. "What is it?"
"I wanted to say that I will be going on a little break for a little while. I need to clear my mind and I don't think I'm ready to go to school." He wasn't half wrong. He wasn't prepared at all to go to school. He knew that Sona and Rias were some of the smartest students in the school and with their supernatural world connection, they would immediately think of him as a threat from surviving an encounter from the fallen angel... That vermin of a woman. Not only that, but his disappearance and reappearance would be suspicious as it occurred when the fallen angels were in the territory and when they left.
"Issei but..."
"I need this. I can't but be afraid of them."
"Of whom?"
"Them." Miki began contemplating what her son meant. Issei wasn't lying again; he was slightly afraid of woman now. His entire dream was shifted thanks to a woman and destroyed thanks to a woman. Miki, seeing the hurtful expression that her son was making, finally connected the dots. Issei was going to a school made of nearly all woman and they all hated him while he was now afraid of them.
"Then take as long as you like, my boy." His father walked into the room. "School is only temporary and overrated, your health is underrated and will be, to us, eternal."
"Gorou, are you sure this is a good idea? He's still too young. He's still our little boy."
"He is eventually going to set his foot out into the world alone, Miki. This is going to be his first time doing so. Plus, he needs a break from school especially, with how he is treated and his reputation in school. I believe in our son, and I will support him to the ends of time."
Miki was on edge, but a few more persuasive words from her husband was all that was needed to convince her. However, she had a few demands of her own. "First, you will make sure to call us once a day, bare minimum. Secondly, you will promise me you will eat healthy and stay happy. Finally, make sure to come back home soon. I already know I am going to miss seeing you smiling while entering the house. Just be happy."
Issei was mentally screaming with excitement knowing that his plan was working while Ddraig, being the ancient dragon he was, began doing tricks in the sky with his wings. Hugging his parents, he smiled knowing that everything was working out.

As the sun sets behind the hills and the sky is painted with hues of orange and pink, the town begins to quiet down. Streetlights flicker on, casting a warm glow on the empty streets. The only sounds that can be heard are the chirping of crickets and the occasional car driving by. Most of the residents are tucked away in their cozy homes, catching up on sleep for the busy day ahead. The only signs of life are the occasional porch light left on for a late-night reader or the dim glow of a television flickering through a window.
Issei, a young man with magical wristbands, stood in one of the windows. The wristbands, which he had amplified to their maximum power, allowed him to move and fight with the strength and speed of a normal human. However, the intense pressure of the training was causing tension in his body. Despite this, Issei was determined to push through the pain, as his mentor Ddraig had told him that this type of training was necessary in order for his body to adapt and become stronger. Issei was not just any ordinary person - he was a dragon, emerging into a world filled with cruelty and injustice.
"Just doing these brief exercises is already depleting your stamina and tiring your muscles." Ddraig wasn't kidding because Issei, after doing his final set of push-ups, finally collapsed onto the ground face first and could only breath heavily for a few seconds before slowly getting back up. "I suggest taking a break. We must start somewhere, and this is a good place to begin. Tomorrow, I will be pushing you to the extreme and continuously healing you with my own powers to continue your training. I promised that I will help you in your dream, but you must promise me that you will work hard to achieve it."
"Partner, you already know my answer." Smiling at his partner's words, Ddraig could only feel pride and satisfaction when glancing at his partner. This was going to be a very promising host.
"Alright, rest for now. We have a big day tomorrow."
He didn't even need to say anything, Issei collapsed onto the ground and began falling asleep. His adrenaline finally wore off and his body could only scream one thing.
Rest...
As he lay on the ground, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting the stress and worries of the day melt away. Slowly, his muscles began to relax, and he felt himself drifting off into his slumber. His breathing became slower and more rhythmic as his mind began to shut down for the night. As he fell deeper and deeper into slumber, his body felt weightless and free, as if he were floating on a cloud.
Waking up to see the world, the green wonderfully crafted grass that his mind was able to come up with spreading across the ground with the sounds of birds chirping, Issei could only feel the blissful breeze of the wind blowing across his face with the sun shining gently upon his face causing for relaxation that Issei never thought he would have received. Everything was perfect about this dream, the sky, the ground, the animals, the sound, and even Issei felt perfect.
However...
"Issei... I thought you liked me?"
That voice...
Why was that voice repeating in his mind? Turning around in his dream, he could only see the grass behind this vermin of a woman beginning to burn. His body could only slightly tremble upon seeing the smile of this woman... No, this devil.
"Issei, there is no need to be scared. I'm not here to hurt you, I'm just here to painlessly end you."
She quickly began shifting to the same woman that he feared. This woman that had destroyed him.
"Everything that you ever wanted it was all for nothing. You thought that I would have loved you. To think that humans were this gullible. You are nothing but a disgusting piece of trash in front of me. Never forget that."
Each one of her words... They pierced Issei's heart. The many millions of pieces that was Issei's heart began hurting all together with Issei finally releasing the tears. Why was she doing this? Why was she here? Right when he felt like he was getting a handle on things... She just had to appear. Why were women so cruel... Why did they have to hurt him this way? He wanted to treat them all like queens... But they treated him like he didn't exist, as if he was a toy to them.
The fallen angel began forming another light spear which began causing Issei to breathe heavily. He was beginning to panic. Once a trauma has been made, it takes a long time to suppress. Before she could throw it at him.
"Partner."
In an instant, a large foot came slamming down and erased the fallen angel.
"There is no need to be afraid."
Looking up to see the dragon smiling at him. Issei, knowing it was Ddraig, began feeling more comfort and smiling slightly.
"Because I am here."
With that, Ddraig had ended Issei's nightmare and used his own magic to cast something to sooth out the pain that Issei was experiencing to make sure his partner wouldn't get nightmares when sleeping this time. Leaving his partner to his little vacation land, Ddraig could only feel saddened knowing that what the Fallen had done will never leave his partner.
"Be prepared supernatural world, for my partner and I will cause an uproar amongst you all. We will be our own faction. We will do it all alone."
Ddraig spoke venomously before flying away to do more tricks. He has had enough with the supernatural world messing with his partner, whether it be killing a loved one, destroying their pride, or destroying them in a fight, something in Ddraig simply snapped when remembering the pain that Issei had went through when being murdered... The absolute helplessness that his partner felt, the expression on his face, and the cruelty in the Fallen Angel. Ddraig now knew that they didn't need anyone's help. They had only needed each other to survive. Partner to partner, brother to brother, comrade to comrade, they were going to take the world by storm.
