The Chosen One Was Me, Not You

chapter 8

8 – {J-Ha Academy} 2

{J-Ha Academy}

“Thank you for your time.”

Theodore’s grin while expressing his gratitude politely made me think that YuRia was unluckyly handsome.

“Then shall we go?”

There was nothing wrong with Theodore reaching out with a respectful attitude.

It was the figure of a fiancé reaching out politely to her fiancée, and the screams of the female students around her could be heard.

‘I can’t refuse.’

The engagement between the Duke of Skyroad and the Duke of Arsene was not simply a matter of personal feelings.

If the other party does not behave rudely and is keeping the line, but in front of many people watching, it is the fault of the other side.

‘This is to be polite.’

So comforting herself, Yuria held his hand.

“Please guide me.”

“Willing.”

After escaping from Ashley and others’ eyes and moving to a place where there were no people alone with Theodore, Yuria let go of his hand as soon as there was no one to see her, and she asked.

“What should I start with?”

Theodore grinned at Yuria’s question about what she should start tuning from.

“Well? First of all, I’d like to hear Princess Yuria’s thoughts, right? Your biggest goal is to maintain your position as

Even there, right?”

Theodore’s words emphasizing the word second seat sounded like he was teasing YuRia. She couldn’t hold back her feelings and crossed her arms, she said sarcastically.

“Yes, it will look ridiculous to the great Sky Road Young master, who showed top grades in all faculties except for the Divinity Faculty in his first year, right?”

And at Yuria’s sarcastic remark, Theodore nodded her head.

“Of course it looks funny. I can’t even reach the toes of a being so bright, so what if I don’t look funny when I’m struggling to take a place under his feet?”

Yuria glared at him who hit him back even harder, she said.

“You’re pissed, too.”

“Is it an inferiority complex?”

“No!”

In response to Theodore’s words that she didn’t lose a word of, she had a verbal fight with him and even in the reality that she couldn’t win once again, she ended up fighting with him again, but Yuria calmed herself down.

‘Calm down, Yuria. If I had to argue with that person, I would have to lose.’

Theodore said to YuRia, who calmed herself down like that.

“If you want, I can give you a little lecture. For my beautiful fiancée, this body can improve her skills with a little effort.”

“What do you mean?”

As a prosecutor, YuRia forgot about other things and she was momentarily tempted.

She doesn’t like him, she gets pissed off every time she sees him, but he’s clearly a swordsman who’s far superior to her.

Her magic, elemental arts, and martial arts were all top notch, so she couldn’t be said to be a pure swordsman, but at least she was a swordsman of a different class from her.

“What do you mean? It’s humiliating. It’s just that her fiancée is passionate about her swordsmanship, so I’m just trying to help her as her fiancée, and yet to be treated like this is disgusting.”

When Theodore’s eyes grew slightly cold, YuRia said Oops! She felt like doing it.

She thought that because of the argument she had just had with him, she was pissed off and that she had been rude.

“Sorry, I made a mistake.”

Yuria immediately bowed her head and apologized politely to Theodore. When her fiancée told her that he was teaching her swordsmanship, she had this suspicion because he liked her and left her unwilling to do so, which is why she was wrong.

As she has the mentality that she should apologize immediately if she has done something wrong, she had to apologize to the person concerned as soon as possible.

“Well, I’ll accept it.”

YuRia asked, knowing that even though his willingness to accept his apology was false if he didn’t get offended, he would only hurt himself if he continued to think about it.

“You mean that you will continue to give lectures even after you go to the Britannia Empire?”

“Well, that’s what it is. I have to protect you anyway. While protecting you, wouldn’t it be a better use of my time if I continued to teach you swordsmanship?”

At Theodore’s words, she thought that if YuRia didn’t know what he was thinking, she might have fallen for him too.

With that irritatingly handsome face, she was saying that she would protect herself, so it would be a lie if her fiancée’s words didn’t make her pound.

“But is that just for me?”

“You want an honest answer? You want a lie?”

“Tell me both.”

At YuRia’s words, Theodore nodded her head and spoke with a polite, polite smile.

“To tell you the truth, how can you, as a fiancée, pretend that I don’t know when a beautiful fiancée like you has so much passion? As a fiancée, I should help you achieve your dream.”

At Theodore’s words, Yuria coldly asked.

“And what about the truth?”

“To tell you the truth, you pass as my fiancée in terms of looks, but honestly, I can’t trust your abilities. If you go from the Britannia Empire and you’re embarrassed, the darkness will fall on my splendor that shines so dazzlingly that it blinds others. Losing is a stain, isn’t it? You should at least take care of your hands so that you don’t get embarrassed somewhere.”

Pajik-

Yuria sincerely prayed to God.

‘I’d give up a year’s worth of my life if I could get even one blow to that proud face!’

Furious enough to even think of such a thing, Yuria tried to smile as she calmed her bubbling stomach.

“That’s right. Then I’ll have to become strong enough to surpass you so I don’t become your stain.”

Then Theodore looked at her with a pitiful gaze.

“Oh, Princess Yuria. Are you sick?”

“…What do you mean?”

“It’s good to have a dream and passion, but there’s a limit to that. To dream of a dream that can’t come true in one’s lifetime. What if, in despair, you become pessimistic about your own life and commit suicide? Can you delusion?”

Then, Theodore, who approached her, put his hand on her shoulder and said.

“If you did commit suicide, it would be like spilling ink on my perfectly brilliant name. So please think differently.”

“…God, today I will kill this man and go to heaven.”

“It’s good momentum. Swing the sword with all your might with that momentum.”

At Theodore’s words, Yuria must have rejected her partner’s permission. She promised not to hesitate.

“Okay. Take out your sword too.”

Unlike Yuria, who carried her sword in a scabbard around her waist, Theodore always carried her sword in a holster.

“To be honest, I don’t even need to draw a sword against you.”

At Theodore’s words, Yuria sighed again! She felt like doing.

She has been learning her swordsmanship since her childhood and, with the exception of Theodore, she has risen to the top of her class in her grade at the Second Academy.

She became a sophomore this year, and her skills now were such that few of her seniors in the fourth year could match her.

‘But it means nothing to the man in front of me.’

She was well aware of that fact.

But…

“I’ll pick up the sword right now. Didn’t you say you’d teach me as a swordsman?”

No matter how weak he was, he had strength built up through his own efforts and pride as a swordsman.

When I lose, even if I lose, I want to lose in the fight as a swordsman.

“Willing, if you will.”

I saw Theodore drawing his sword.

The first-year head of the swordsmanship department at the Jeiha Academy, and the strongest swordsman at the Jeha Academy, said to surpass even the professors, was right in front of her eyes.

Thumping-

YuRia felt her heart pounding as a swordsman at that fact, and she slowly took her stance.

She knew that her swordsmanship, which she had accumulated, would not reach that realm.

‘But I won’t give up.’

But the wall was high, she would never give up.

I would have to climb up to that wall without fail.

“Haaagh!”

With that thought, she rushed at it with all her might, and was knocked out in an instant.

“Kyaaah!”

She was the one who attacked her, but the moment she touched Theodore’s sword, she felt a tremendous rebound and was thrown back. She was in a situation where she would collapse with her back touching the floor as she was, but someone picked her up from behind.

“Are you okay?”

The owner of the voice was Theodore.

Her

She had bounced her from the front, then he moved to the back of her and embraced her from behind.

YuRia, who was in a position to be hugged by him from behind, hurriedly escaped from his arms.

“Gwa, it’s okay. This much is not a big deal!”

Her shyness for some reason has overtaken her.

‘Ha, let’s calm down.’

Theodore watched still as Yuria tried to calm her beating heart because of her unexpected situation. YuRia felt that she was even more embarrassed by his gaze.
