The Corrupted Syndicate

Chapter 23: Celia Vs Mav

As the two clashed, Celia wasted no time in trying to overpower the rabbit with an attack from behind.

"Uh uh… You're not allowed to gang up on my bunny…" purred Mavislin as she stopped the swinging ax with her shining katana.

"Damn you! Get out of my-"

Before Celia could react, Mavislin launched herself at her throat with sudden ferocity. Two golden-feathered wings erupted from her back as she propelled herself toward the beige walls of Arcadia.

The force of slamming Celia against the wall wasn't enough for the altered dragoness—she followed up with a brutal kick to her abdomen, sending her crashing through the stone, leaving a gaping hole in the fortress's defenses.

"I thought you were the infamous Lady of Chaos? How is it that you haven't done anything of worth yet?" taunted Mavislin as she walked through the hole with her blade on her shoulders.

Celia said nothing in protest as she roared in frustration, getting out of the rubble at lightning speed. She then swung her axe with all her might, trying to diagonally maim the dragoness's body, only to miss it because Mavislin decided to step an inch away.

"Too much anger… That isn't chaos, this is!" roared Mavislin, with a dangerous smile.

The dragoness swiftly seized the woman's arm, spinning her around with a force that sent Celia hurtling sideways. She was flung through the air, crashing violently into yet another wall, the impact reverberating through the stone.

But Mavislin didn't allow Celia to breathe as she appeared before the shocked woman to knee her in the chest. The impact was enough to break a few ribs and send Yun flying upwards into the air.

The merciless dragoness then leaped upwards and delivered another kick to the woman's back, making her travel across the field again. This time, Celia was able to react and quickly slammed her weapon into the ground to stop herself from crashing against another wall.

She then propelled herself through the air and tried to slash Mavislin, allowing the latter to use her katana to block the attack.

"Tch… Still not fun. No hate, no kick, no bloodthirst. This is beginning to bore me. I would like to end this," complained the dragoness as she flicked her katana, causing the red to change to purple.

Celia instinctively backed away, leaving her weapon behind to drop onto the ground. Mavislin tilted her head to the side, wanting to know how her opponent was going to fight her without a blade.

She then shrugged and picked up the war axe, looking back at its owner. Celia readied herself as she tried to predict Mavislin's next move.

The dragon girl's smile was cold and confident as she let the axe slip from her grasp, allowing it to hang in the air for just a heartbeat.

With a fluid motion, she pivoted on her heel, her body coiling like a spring. Then, with explosive force, she drove her foot into the bottom of the axe, sending it rocketing forward.
