Chapter 8: Here lies a drunk
"Okay, problem students. Today's lessons are canceled due to the rest day given to those who participated in the Sports Festival," Aizawa spoke in a bored tone as the class stared attentively. "Or, that would be the case if the sports festival wasn't attacked during the middle of it. Now, to make up for the missed opportunities this would have granted you, a mock exam will be held to gauge your abilities."
.
Aizawa went into detail about what the exam would be about which I just tuned out. I already knew where this exam was going. And it wasn't like they could do better than they would have in the sports festival. The entirety of the sports festival was to make the pros look for promising youths. Either to be sidekicks in the future or if they were going to strike out on their own. Bakugo would certainly be the latter along with a few others.
But it wasn't my problem. I was just here to teach them survival skills. So once Aizawa was done with his lecture, I took up the podium and began my class.
.
"Good morning brats." I started the class with my usual opening. "Today, you're gonna learn what can be used to make makeshift operating items to save someone's life. Their use and how well you do depends on your attention to detail." I advised them as the class continued.
.
My classes were all on realistic ways to save someone's life and 'what to do' scenarios. Thankfully, we had diagrams and a hologram projector that helped with the class visualization. Though I did order some fabric for them to learn how to sow. Thank god for Lilly's sewing and needlework that she taught, though it always amazed me how nimble her fingers were. You know, despite being massive ham hawks.
But anyway, I digress. The class absorbed it well except for one or two of them finding this boring or unneeded. Their loss since even Recovery Girl was gunning for this class to be needed for the last few years. Something about not enough doctors nowadays. Not my problem, I'm just here to teach what I learned in the Mojave that saved my and my family's lives along with the lives of others. If they want to fail, then they fail.
The class went on for an hour until the bell rang, signaling the end of the class. I just close the projector and told the class there will be no homework. Getting cheers from them, though a few didn't like the face I didn't give out homework. I guess it is due to my having an understanding of hating homework. I didn't know why but I chalked it up to my missing memories.
I was still having trouble with the memories I did recover.
So far, I managed to figure out that the woman with Green hair and the female Bakugo with the big bust was Midoyia's and Bakugo's mothers. The blond man with the stomach scar was All Might. And the Skull mask dude was an enemy. That was all I got.
Damn, I could go for a drink. All this thinking is making my head hurt.
*Pop*
Much better.
But as I went to take a drink, Aizawa stopped me. The look on his face spoke volumes without him saying a word. I just sighed and corked the bottle and stashed it away. I'll drink when he isn't looking. As I walked out into the hall to head down to class 1-B, I bumped into Present Mic.
He still looks like a cockatiel.
He and I nodded to each other and went on our ways.
.
I sighed as I walked out of UA and headed toward the teacher's dorms. The classes were starting to get on my nerves. I just wasn't used to this peace. Sure, even when I was managing the Mojave there were still times when I went out and traveled. The constant threat of raiders, cazadors, or even molerats made it at least threatening to wander around. But here? The Heroes wandering around made it way too peaceful. I mean, sure, there are still evildoers wandering the back streets. But the chances of meeting one were slim. Slimer than anything the Mojave would throw at you.
I was just having trouble standing the feeling of peace.
As I made it to my dorm room, I found Aizawa waiting for me.
.
"What is it?" I asked since he was leaning on my door.
"I was forced to bring you along." Aizawa sighed and spoke.
"What?" I couldn't help but ask, but that was when a wild Nemuri appeared out of nowhere.
"We're going out to drink!" She shouted as she hung off my shoulders, it took everything I had to not throw her to the floor. "Hizashi can't make it tonight and we need one more! He's got his radio talk show to host."
"And what made you think I'm a good choice?" I asked as I wiggled out of her surprisingly strong grip.
"You always drink enough to kill an elephant," Aizawa stated as now I realized he was out of his usually shabby clothes, now wearing less shabby clothes. "And I don't want to be the one carrying Nemuri back."
"Plus you don't do anything aside from sit in your room ever since you got here," Nemuri said as she latched onto my arm, making sure her large breasts were against my arm. "We want to get to know you outside of work."
.
Considering that Aizawa and Nemuri already knew that I wasn't from this world, I can conclude that this wasn't about that. And from the look on Nemuri's face, this was all her idea. I sighed as I had nothing better to do and going out did sound better than drinking myself into a stupor all alone.
.
"Fine, but there better be good booze." I sighed and accepted.
"Yes! But you have to change, you can't go out looking like that." Nemuri stated while pointing at my armor. "At least wear something nice."
.
It was then I noticed that she wasn't wearing her costume either. She was wearing a shirt far too large for her that covered her down past her waist and jeans. Her hair was done up in a braid and she wore small circular glasses. Looking at her and Aizawa, I sighed since I had no choice in the matter.
.
"Give me a minute to get changed." I sighed and made my way into my room.
.
Less than three minutes later, I came out wearing my [King's outfit]. Which consisted of dress shoes, dark blue blue-jeans, a plain white shirt, and a leather jacket with the King's logo on the back of it. My [Pip-boy] was still on my left arm. From the looks I got from Nemuri and Aizawa, they were surprised I had clothes like this. Well, I could care less.
.
"So, are we going or not?" I asked as I scratched my brown-black hair. 'I need to cut my hair sometime soon, it's getting too long.'
.
x-x-x-x-x
.
"This was a mistake..." I sighed as I looked at the sake cup in front of me. It wasn't that the sake was bad, it was just what Nemuri was doing.
.
We had gone out for drinks as Nemuri wanted. We even went to her favorite restaurant which served drinks. Everything was going well.
Until it wasn't.
Not even an hour later, it was chaos. Turns out, Nemuri can't handle her liquor that well and she gets handsy. And Aizawa dipped after saying he had to go to the bathroom. So now I'm stuck here with a drunk Nemuri and stuck with the bill.
As I thought about what to do, Nemuri started inching closer and closer to my crotch with her hand. I sighed and grabbed her hand and pushed it away.
.
"Oh, come on~" She purred as she scooted closer to me, "Mama wants to see what your packing~"
"Nemuri, knock it off." I sighed as I drank my sake, wishing for something stronger.
"Come on~ Aren't you backed up?" She asked as she pressed her tits up against my arm. "I'll gladly help you relieve some of that stress~"
.
This went on for around an hour as she and I continued to drink and eat. Finally, after a few bottles, Nemuri passed out on the table. I sighed and called a waiter for the bill. Once it was paid in full, I tried to shake Nemuri awake. I only got slurs and giggles out of her. I didn't even want to imagine what she was dreaming about.
Seeing as Aizawa dipped out and left us, it was up to me to make sure she made it back home. I picked her up in a princess carry and left the restaurant. I got a few looks from passers-by as I walked through the streets with her in my arms. It didn't help that she was clinging to me in her sleep while drooling.
I sighed as I made my way back toward UA. A few heroes that were patrolling the streets did stop me now and then to make sure I wasn't trying to take advantage of Nemuri as she was completely hammered. But after I told them where I was heading, they left me alone for the most part. One did question it, but after showing them my ID card I got from the Chimera, they let me go after swiping it through some scanner they were carrying. I made note of their face as they did it to be on the safe side in case this came back to bite me in the ass.
It took about thirty minutes for me to walk back to UA from the restaurant. I sighed in relief when I got to the gates. I shifted Nemuri the best I could so I could swipe my ID card. When I did, the gates opened up and All Might was there.
.
"Hey, Yagi," I spoke as I reshifted Nemuri to be easier to carry. "What are you doing out so late?"
"Hello, Courier," He greeted me. "I was just going out to get some materials for tomorrow's lessons. Why are you carrying Nemuri?"
"She and Aizawa took me out to drink," I stated, "Aizawa dipped out and Nemuri got dead drunk. So I was left to carry her back like this." I said as I lifted her.
"I see," He sweatdropped. "I can see Aizawa doing something like that. Do you need any help?"
"I'm good," I said as I walked past him, "I'll try to get her to her dorm and drop her off. See ya."
.
After that talk, I made my way toward the dorms. It didn't take me long to find out which dorm was hers, but I came across a problem. Nemuri wouldn't let go no matter what I tried. She clung to me like a damn gecko with super strength.
With no option left, other than hurting her, I just sat down on the floor and leaned my back against the wall of her dorm. Time passed by in waves as I sat there waiting for Nemuri to wake up. Finally, as the sun rose on the horizon, Nemuri sturred.
.
"Mmm, my head..." She groaned as she pushed herself off of my chest. "What happened?"
"You got blackout drunk," I told her as I lifted her and set her on the bed.
"Six?" She groaned as she tried to sit up but I pushed her back down and covered her with her blanket.
"Yea, it's me," I told her as I made sure she was fine. "Next time, lay off the sake. I had to carry you back to your dorm."
"Oh, I see..." She spoke softly, "Could you get me some water, please?"
.
I sighed and pulled some ice cold [Purified water] from my [Pip-boy] and gave it to her. She pushed herself to a sitting position and opened the bottle. She gulped down the contents in seconds and relished the taste as the ice-cold water moisturized her dry throat.
.
"How are you not drunk?" She asked the million cap question.
"Mutations," I sighed and answered her truthfully. "Trust me, they're a pain in the ass."
