Pov General,

Once the rooster died from Evelyn's attack, she opened her eyes to see part of the monster that had terrorized the school lying dead.

A section of its skin was red, revealing a nasty wound that had not healed. A small smile formed on her lips as she observed the damage Mary had inflicted.

Voldemort glared at her with pure hatred.

"How dare you do that? Do you realize you've just killed Salazar Slytherin's legacy?"

"And so what? That monster deserved death. It wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway. Did you really take me for a naive Gryffindor, rushing me here without a plan to confront a creature with such a glaring weakness? I wonder how you managed to terrorize the world, being like this."

He pulled a wand from his sleeve — Ginny's wand, which he had taken in hopes of finding one with a better connection to his magic.

Without a word, a red lightning flash shot from Voldemort's wand, but Evelyn, drawing on all her training, unsheathed her katana and blocked the attack.

Voldemort's expression shifted to shock before he resumed his assault with a flurry of spells.

Evelyn's expression remained unchanged, focused solely on countering and blocking each spell, demonstrating her exceptional mastery of the katana.

With every attack she deflected, she moved one step closer to her target.

Upon reaching the diary, she spun her katana swiftly, angling it downward before striking at the journal.

Unfortunately, being a Horcrux, the diary remained unaffected by the attack.

"Hahaha! I'll admit I was worried for a moment, but it seems you're not as clever as I thought. Bombarda!"

The explosion struck Evelyn's shoulder, sending her spinning through the air until she collided with the Basilisk's corpse.

Her right shoulder was half-destroyed, the exposed bone visible, while the upper right flank of her robe smoldered.

"You were a very dangerous person, and you even managed to kill the heirloom of my ancestor. Even though you're my enemy, I still show you the respect you deserve. Therefore, I offer you something — join my side, and you will have everything you desire."

"Why would you do that?"

In response, Voldemort launched into a monologue, explaining his respect for strength and asserting that only pureblood elites should dominate the world.

While he spoke, Evelyn slowly stood up, carefully driving her katana into the Basilisk's eye. She twisted it slightly, destroying the magical pocket that accounted for much of the creature's deadly power.

Her shoulder healed as if a film were rewinding — though her robe remained damaged.

When Voldemort finally finished his speech, he turned to Evelyn with a confident smile.

"So, what do you say? Will you join me?"

Voldemort first noticed Evelyn's smile before she opened her mouth.

"You're far too easy to distract."

Before Voldemort could react to her words, Evelyn revealed the diary she had recovered after it was ejected alongside her.

She had planned everything carefully. Knowing that to destroy the memory once and for all, she needed to coat the diary with venom — but the distance from the monster made direct action suspicious.

When she attacked the notebook it was so that this one would be attached to the katana and be swinging at the same time as her.

She stabbed the Basilisk's eye before dying like an idiot before making her last move.

Holding the diary in her hand, she drove it toward a fang still embedded near the creature's lip.

"No, don't do that!" Voldemort shouted.

Evelyn's body glowed blue, displaying the effects of powerful reinforcement magic, as the diary was pierced by the Basilisk's fang.

A deafening howl echoed, and markings appeared on Voldemort's chest as dark ink spilled from the diary.

The book burned, reduced to remnants as it revealed the destroyed Horcrux.

As Evelyn exhaled in relief, Ginny suddenly awoke with a gasp, looking around in confusion.
