Chapter 11

While laying on her bed and thinking about day, the next day of school was looking like a very promising day to be alive, as she was about to close her eyes, her phone suddenly rang so she had to stand up, move to her table, open her bag that was on her table and take out her phone, which was a hustle. She didn't know who could be calling her late in the night but had a sense it could be one of her new friends, maybe she had forgotten something when they hung out. But to her surprise, it was Franclon who was calling her. Her jaw dropped so badly she had to pick it up with he hands. She knew he was calling her in order to make peace and try to solve the fight that was between them but Maya didn't want to solve the fight and preferred them to continue fighting because she has finally found out the type of person her "Best friends" really was. But unfortunately by the disturbance of the sound coming from her from due to the cal, her mother got awoken and entered her room to tell her to switch off her phone.

Mrs Scatts: Opens Maya's bedroom door angrily "Would you keep it down!? I am trying to sleep" Then takes a peek at Maya's phone to see who was calling her, but Maya hid her phone into her bag and cut the call before her mom could see and pretended it was one of her alarms.

Maya: "It's a mistaken alarm on my phone mom, I am so sorry it disturbed you, well, talk in the morning!" Moves closer to her bed

Mrs Scatts: Doesn't see anything suspicious and says "Ok my love, have a great sleep!" Then heads to her room.

The morning came very fast and Maya was getting ready to go to school. She had her uniform done, for the first time in a long time she had woken up early to put on makeup and her socks and shoes were neat and ready to go and stunt!. Right after putting on her shoe, she hears a ding on her phone, looks at it and finds out that it's her new friends asking for where she will be dropped by her mom on that day so that they can meet up together and go to school together. So she turns to her mom and goes.

Maya: Looks at her mom who was busy trying to get her earrings in her left ear "Mum, Tamara, Julia and Aliyah wants to know where you are going to drop me off at so they can have their moms drop them at the same place and we can go together"

Mrs Scatts: Looking a little frustrated "Ugghh you won't be going anywhere if I do not get this damned earrings into my second ear" Ughhhh "Can you help?"

Maya: "Okay mum. Don't get stressed out mum, I am coming" So she stands up, moves closer to her mum and successfully inserted the ear ring into her ears.

Mrs Scatts: Thanks baby, but today I won't be taking you to school. I have an appointment with your dad and the lawyer today, so….."

Maya: "I hope everything will be okay mom, I'll take the bus and we'll talk about the lawyer and bad dad after school and when you get back. Even though I'm not sure if I'm going to be at home when you come back. But you know what I mean".

Mrs Scatts: "Just be careful out there Maya. You have to know that you don't know this girls very well yet so be careful about where you go, how you act, what you do with them and what they're doing what they hang out and try to talk about the girls mom group thing today so you can have them introduce me to their mom so I know who they really are…..but have a nice day"

Maya: "Thanks mom I hope you also have a nice day. I'll get on my way now" so she carries her bag and heads for the door, opens it and sets on her way to go to the bus stop. But as soon as she got to the bus stop the bus arrived at the same time so she was lucky and got on very fast and early. As she was on the bus, she told the girls about where the bus was going to stop and they agreed to all meet up in the front of the bus stop.

When Maya looked out of the window just when it was time for her specific bus stop she saw Tamara Julia and Aliyah waiting for her from the window. So she just stepped out of the bus, offered her greetings to them, hugged them and then they went on walking with them until they got close enough to the school's compound and as they were entering the schools compound they saw Franklon and Lisa going into school at the same time. When Maya looked at Lisa and Franclon, Lisa looked like she wanted to talk to Maya but Maya was more comfortable and confident with our new friends so she's stunted in Lisa's face and kept on walking.

Even though Maya felt a little sad and guilty about leaving Lisa she also just realized that it was awful too hold on a to one person through all your life because that would make them feel too important to empowered and feel like they have a say in your life and they can take that sometimes and try and use it to try and control you so she felt like this new friendships even if it was going to be bad or good was what she needed to open up to the world and see the world with new eyes and with the help of new people. And even though it was probably a bad idea to confide in people she had just met 5 days ago or two days ago it just felt right and she knew deep down that even if this friendship went totally wrong for her it would still be something that she would learn from and grow from so it was just as exciting as it was scary.
