Chapter 15: Execution
Kaelron's heart burned with jealousy as Queen Tyra's words only seemed to fuel his envy toward Lynaria. Every word she spoke felt like a spark to his already burning emotions. He could no longer bear his feelings. With a final look at the Queen, he stormed out, his mind torn. Queen Tyra, however, smiled to herself, knowing her manipulation had worked perfectly.
After a long journey, Lynaria finally arrived at the Wolf Castle. Prince Sun escorted her to a guest room before leaving her alone. But moments later, Kaelron entered, his voice low with tension.
"Why are you here, my lord?" Lynaria asked, her gaze unwavering.
Kaelron's eyes narrowed. "What are you planning? Why did you dare step into the heart of enemy territory? Do you wish to die?"
Lynaria remained calm, her confidence unshaken. "I've already told you, my lord. I have a plan to disrupt their attack tonight."
Kaelron's brow furrowed. "And what exactly is your plan?"
Before Lynaria could speak, she stood and locked eyes with him. "I will keep him busy until nightfall. Once he's distracted, I will strike."
"Are you insane?" Kaelron's voice grew harder. "You can't take on such a risk alone. I won't allow it."
Lynaria's expression softened slightly. "But this is the only way to sabotage their plan."
Kaelron stood motionless for a moment before speaking again. "No. Come with me. We'll fight them together, on the battlefield tonight."
Lynaria shook her head. "That would expose my cover and put the Dragon Kingdom in danger. I can't let you risk both worlds just to strike the Wolf Kingdom."
Kaelron's gaze softened, though his tone remained serious. "Then what will you do?"
Lynaria's voice dropped. "I will take care of this on my own. You need not worry about my safety."
Kaelron hesitated, his gaze intense. "Fine. I trust you this time. But after tonight's mission, return to the palace immediately."
---
Meanwhile, Lynaria, determined to succeed, rushed to the kitchen and prepared a powerful sleeping potion.
"What are you doing here, Lynaria?" Prince Sun's voice interrupted her thoughts.
"I'm preparing stamina potions for you and your soldiers," she said, her voice calm yet determined. "They will need all the strength they can get for tonight's battle."
Prince Sun beamed with enthusiasm. "This is exactly what we need! Quickly, gather the soldiers! We'll try it out right now!"
The servants quickly distributed the potion to everyone inside the castle. For a moment, they felt a surge of energy coursing through them, but as the sun set, the effects began to wane, replaced by overwhelming drowsiness. By the time the attack was supposed to begin, every soldier was fast asleep.
---
Satisfied that her plan had succeeded, Lynaria swiftly left the castle. But she was intercepted by Prince Sun, who was still awake, his eyes full of suspicion.
"What did you do to my soldiers? Why are they all asleep?"
"I simply gave them a little sleeping medicine," Lynaria replied coolly.
"Why? What's your real goal?" Prince Sun's voice trembled with disbelief.
Lynaria stepped forward, her eyes locked with his. "I've told you, Prince. I'm the one you've been searching for. But you didn't believe me."
Despite her confession, Prince Sun was still hesitant. Lynaria's gaze hardened as she took a step closer.
"Do you not seek vengeance for your father's death? Then come, let's settle this now. I won't hesitate."
But to Lynaria's surprise, Prince Sun retreated, his expression clouded with inner turmoil. "Leave my castle."
Lynaria hesitated, confusion and regret filling her heart, but she had no choice but to leave him behind, lost in his own thoughts.
---
Back at the Dragon Palace, Lynaria hurriedly reported to Kaelron.
"My lord, the task is complete."
Kaelron nodded approvingly. "Good. Rest now."
Lynaria bowed before exiting the room, her mind still clouded with questions about Prince Sun's strange behavior.
---
Meanwhile, in the Wolf Castle, Queen Tyra sat calmly, watching Prince Sun brood.
"Why the long face? Has the girl finally revealed her true colors?" she asked, her voice tinged with amusement.
Prince Sun clenched his fists. "She put all my soldiers to sleep tonight."
Queen Tyra smirked. "I warned you about her, but you didn't listen. You were blinded by love."
Prince Sun's eyes burned with frustration. "Don't speak of that. Why are you here now? All my soldiers are asleep, and I can't execute our plan."
"I've brought reinforcements," Queen Tyra replied smoothly. "We'll attack the human world tonight, just as we planned."
Prince Sun hesitated but nodded. "Let's do it."
---
In the Dragon Palace, Lynaria was receiving news of the chaos in the human world. Without wasting a second, she prepared to leave.
Kaelron noticed Lynaria's sudden departure and quickly asked Ares, who was passing by. "Ares, where is Lynaria?"
Ares looked troubled. "She didn't ask for permission, my lord. She left after hearing about the attack in the human world. I thought she came to inform you."
Kaelron's expression darkened. "That reckless girl… She doesn't understand the danger she's in. Come with me—we must find her."
---
Upon arriving in the human world, Lynaria found chaos everywhere, with casualties strewn across the streets. She immediately set out to track down those responsible for the attack.
"Glosbe, can you locate the attackers?"
"They're in the city center, slaughtering innocent people," Glosbe replied.
"Take me there, quickly!" Lynaria ordered.
The two of them flew swiftly toward the heart of the chaos.
---
At the scene, Prince Sun and Queen Tyra were in the middle of a heated argument.
"This isn't what we came here to do!" Prince Sun shouted. "We weren't meant to destroy human civilization! We just needed to draw Lynaria out, but you're massacring everyone in your path!"
"They are just weak humans," Queen Tyra sneered. "Why not remove them and claim their world as our own?"
"No! I will not allow this madness any longer!" Prince Sun shouted.
"You have no say here," Queen Tyra responded coldly. "These soldiers obey only me."
But just as their argument reached its peak, Lynaria arrived, striking down Queen Tyra's mermaid forces with a single, powerful blow. She wasted no time, launching a direct attack on both Queen Tyra and Prince Sun.
---
The battle was fierce, but Queen Tyra quickly overpowered Lynaria, locking her powers with a simple flick of her fingers.
"You're just a weak human," Queen Tyra taunted, approaching Lynaria. "You don't deserve the Sacred Dragon Sword."
But before Queen Tyra could take the sword, Glosbe lunged at her, distracting her momentarily. In an instant, Queen Tyra killed the beast with ease.
Fury welled up inside Lynaria as she saw her companion fall, and she charged at Queen Tyra with renewed anger.
"You cruel queen!" she shouted, but Queen Tyra tossed her aside effortlessly.
"You're nothing but a weak human, even with such powerful weapons."
---
As Queen Tyra prepared to finish Lynaria off, a figure appeared in the distance.
"Enough," a voice commanded.
