Chapter 10: Walking Towards Something Extraodinary
Marco at that moment felt numb he could feel something covering his body but he couldn't think straight. As if floating in a sea of ink he just drifted, as Marco's consciousness was fading his body's power went into the stratosphere. This sudden surge of power pushed back Ema, Diya joined her as they both stared seriously at Marco. Pure power was oozing out of his every pore, his skin was covered with a dark metal that looked fluid, melding and covering more of his body as time ticked away.
"Diya is this what I think it is?" Ema asked excitedly wanting to continue their little game. Diya just stared at Marco's appearance, until Ema nudged her. Seeing Ema's expectant eyes Diya spoke "Honestly, I am not too sure, I have seen something like this in the past, but something feels off. Compared to the past this form seems more dangerous." Diya continued to observe Marco until something unexpected happened.
The power surging out of Marco slowly started to decrease, it reduced to the point that they both saw the exhaustion on Marco's unconscious face. Before anything could happen, he fell on his knee and slumped down on the ground unconscious. Seeing this sight Diya slapped Ema on her head hissing "Why did you go that far? You idiot he just awakened his power again, he has no mastery no combat experience NOTHING! Are you thinking of killing him or something!" Diya scolded Ema while running to support Marco, before she could reach Ema pulled Diya and jumped back as far as she could. Ema kicked the ground and flew out of the arena.
Before Diya could protest a dark voice was heard, it proclaimed "To death I shall fight and death I will bring" Marco's body got up off the ground, he looked like a broken mechanical doll. His body moved robotically while he stood, he hunched forward with his shadow slowly spreading encapsulating the entire arena. slowly a skeletal arm shot out of the ground, it grabbed at thin air as more arms joined it. More and more such hands reached and climbed each other, and a macabre hill of arms grew beside Marco.
He mechanically reached into the hill and pulled out a bone-white stick. Tilting his head to the sky his consciousness returned, he instinctively grabbed the stick and slammed it into the ground. Ema and Diya looked in shock, the common thought they both had was that they never expected Marco to regain the ability to call out part of his concept as his weapon so soon. The slam caused a torrent of corpses to rise from the ground each clinging and trying their best to cling onto the stick. Instinctively feeling that it was enough Marco swung the stick channelling his power whatever was left in his exhausted body into his weapon.
The stick morphed and the sight that would scare many gods appeared before Ema and Diya. The scythe feared by all gods, a weapon capable of taking away a god's soul. Though it cannot permanently kill a god it could enslave them. The scythe's user could use the souls of the dammed to do whatever they wanted.
As Marco held the scythe, he looked at Ema and asked "SOOOO, are we going to keep going?" He took a battle stance preparing for Ema's insane speed. To his surprise, Diya appeared beside him whispering into his ear "I think that is enough, right?" That was followed by a powerful punch to Marco's face instantly knocking him out. Marco slid on the ground and tumbled for a few seconds until he was stopped and carried by Ema.
"He went above our expectations wouldn't you say" Ema smiled sweetly at the unconscious Marco and flew back to the mansion. Diya agreed with her while following behind her. Diya then decided "I will train with Marco to build his foundation, I have a feeling that our old acquaintance might visit soon and I don't want them blowing a tantrum if Marco can't match up in his current state." Ema agreed, a few pleasurable and hellish training would begin for Marco but he didn't mind as future Marco taught it was fun and a REALLY good time with his wives.
