The Evolution of My Zombie Girlfriend

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Receiving a Crystal Core

It must have been someone who fired the gun first and then threw her into the zombie horde that injured Yu Lan.

The cold breath of Mo Wen made even the unintelligent Yu Lan shiver, and she let out a "woo-woo" sound from her throat, looking unhappy because she was still in the water and letting Mo Wen ramble on by herself.

"Who hurt you, then?" Mo Wen whispered, feeling guilty as he hugged the wet Yu Lan again, "I shouldn't have left you in the first place."

The day before the apocalypse, he went to B City for some reasons, and because of the outbreak of the apocalypse, he was delayed for two whole years before returning to the north from the south. When he arrived, he only saw the zombified Yu Lan.

"Whoever it was... Anyway, Xu Jie Ling must die." Raising his arm, Mo Wen concealed the regret, pain, and despair in his eyes, gently stroking Yu Lan's wet hair, his voice was low and with a hint of a smile, although it sounded chilling.

Yu Lan continued to hold Mo Wen's arm, seemingly unaware of the eerie aura emanating from him.

Because of Yu Lan's obedience, Mo Wen quickly cleaned her body. He carefully examined her from head to toe, and gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Now Yu Lan's skin no longer had its former whiteness, and her entire body was a strange grayish white. Her face still showed her once-clear features, but her eyes of black pearls, which used to be vibrant, were no longer there.

Carefully wiping away the excess water on Yu Lan's body, Mo Wen watched her obediently curl up into a ball. He stood up and picked her up.

The foul smell in the bedroom had not yet dissipated, and there was only a sofa in the living room where one could sit.

After Yu Lan's obedience, Mo Wen quickly cleaned her body. He carefully examined her from head to toe, and gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Now Left alone in the house, Yu Lan didn't show any particular reaction either. She lay motionless on the sofa, staring blankly out of the window at the desolate landscape, with a dazed look in her confused eyes. The faint glow in her eyes hinted at a faint spark of vitality.

After leaving the house, Mo Wen carefully searched the entire floor of the building to ensure there were no hidden dangers before feeling relieved and heading downstairs to kill zombies and collect crystal nuclei.

There was a huge square nearby, where almost all the low-level zombies below Level 6 were gathered. Mo Wen spent the whole morning killing zombies there and easily collected a large backpack of crystal nuclei.

The bloodstains on his battle suit made him feel uncomfortable, and he also lost his patience in picking out the crystal nuclei from the zombies' brains one by one. He stomped on a zombie's head and crouched down to pick out the crystal nuclei from the crushed skull.

Despite the strong sunlight, a chilling sensation still lingered in the air. The source of this chill was not the grotesque zombies, but the man standing among them.

Wiping the dirt off his dagger, Mo Wen paused for a moment and suddenly glanced over to the side passage.

A zombie was slowly crawling out from the gap between the two buildings. It was covered in sharp spikes and had relatively thick limbs. Its long tongue was hanging loosely from its mouth, dragging a trail of saliva on the ground.

It was a Level 9 zombie.

Mo Wen narrowed his eyes, but a smile appeared on his lips.

The crystal nuclei of a Level 9 zombie were Level 2 crystal nuclei, which had much higher energy storage than Level 1 crystal nuclei. Blue Blue would definitely like them.

As Mo Wen was about to take down this Level 9 zombie, it suddenly sprang at him with lightning speed. Its tongue was disgustingly coiled, trying to find an opportunity to wrap around Mo Wen's feet.

Mo Wen easily avoided it, and he looked at the Level 9 zombie, The second-level nuclei are slightly larger than the first-level nuclei and are also brighter in color.

Carefully wiping the stains off the nuclei, he smiled and got up to leave.

"Blue."

As soon as he entered the room, he saw Yu Lan lying on the ground, struggling to move forward.

It looked like she had fallen off the sofa...

Mu Wen saw this and ran over to her, crouching down to hold her in his arms. Noticing that the sticky bloodstains on his clothes had gotten onto Yu Lan, Mu Wen felt even more regretful and took out another cloth to gently wipe her.
