The Executed Sage Reincarnates as a Lich and Begins a War of Aggression

Chapter 246: The Sage Reveals the Policy

That night, I went to a room in the royal castle.

It was a room with a large round table in the center.

The people I was familiar with were sitting on the chairs surrounding the table.

There was Grom, who sat with his arms folded.

His ocular flames whipped around at high speeds, observing the other executives.

It was a gaze that seemed to determine others’ value.

Perhaps it was Grom’s way to confirm the hierarchical order.

Luciana was fixing her make up while looking in the hand mirror.

She moved her hands with a cool expression.

She didn’t seem to care about Grom being intimidating.

Henry was chugging his liquor.

There were empty bottles rolling near his feet.

It was a problematic attitude to have before a meeting, but nobody admonished him for it.

Logan closed his eyes and didn’t move.

He looked like he was sleeping, but I was sure he was just meditating.

He was a quiet man.

He would stay calm in that state.

Doldar was biting on raw meat.

He moaned occasionally from the taste.

Just like Henry, he was enjoying his meals.

Yuura was sitting with proper posture.

She stayed that way like a doll.

It was an appearance fitting with the phrase “honor student.”

Diella slumped onto the round table and looked bored.

Occasionally, she would look at Henry’s liquor with envy.

Although I understood her desire to have an evening drink, I wanted her to be patient about it.

On an edge of the unique round table, the Great Spirit sat.

I invited her to this meeting.

The Great Spirit had no obligation to participate.

I invited her expecting her to refuse, but she gave her approval with quite a bit of vigor.

She should have understood the importance of this meeting.

It seemed that she intended to keep an eye on the whereabouts of the meeting here as a defense mechanism.

I have to be careful with my words and actions.

Even so, it was rare for the executives to gather like this.

It was a sight I had never seen before.

I regarded all the reliable people and started talking.

“Thank you for gathering tonight.”

“That’s okay. It’s an important matter, right?”

Luciana responded while waving her hand.

The others also didn’t seem dissatisfied.

Grom stood up vigorously as if to represent them.

“What are you talking about?! If Demon Lord-sama calls for us, of course we will come, even if we were on the other side of the world!”

“I was planning to procure some liquor in the capital anyway. So it’s just at a convenient time.”

Henry smiled as he poured more liquor into a glass.

In his case, I felt that procuring liquor was the main task at hand.

I wouldn’t bother to confirm, but I think I wasn’t mistaken on that part.

Logan, on the other hand, said as he furrowed his brows.

“To hold a meeting at this period of time, that means it is something related to the one who attacked the Demon Lord’s Army.”

“That’s right. The identity of the assailant was revealed thanks to the Great Spirit’s help.”

Once I answered, a tense atmosphere filled the room.

As expected, everyone was concerned about it.

When I saw that, I explained to everyone my conversation with the Great Spirit back then.

“If we leave it alone, the Virtual Savior will eventually destroy the Demon Lord’s Army. We must deal with it immediately.”

“You have… countermeasures, don't you?”

Doldar asked while scratching his wolf head.

Although he spoke awkwardly, his reasoning could be seen from it.

“Of course. I was thinking of getting approval for its execution at this meeting.”

“Approval? I doubt anyone would disagree, though?”

“Following the opinion of the individual named Luciana — regardless what the methods might be, I have no intention of disobeying the master's suggestions.”

Luciana and Yuura spoke respectively.

They pointed out something obvious to them.

I answered them quietly.

“If destroying the Virtual Savior was everything, I would do it at my own discretion. However, the same couldn’t be said for the breakthrough I plan on using.”

“It sounds like another aim is included in that.”

The Great Spirit made her remark there.

I nodded and raised my fist.

Everyone’s gazes focused there.

“By applying this method, I’m trying to solve three problems at once.”

I raised my index finger.

I then continued after some delay.

“First, it is the elimination of the Virtual Savior.”

I continued and raised my middle finger.

Some of them began to gulp at my actions.

“Second, it is about killing the Will of the World.”

Then, I continued and raised my ring finger.

Immediately after that, a tense silence came.

I declared without hesitation.

“And third is — the resurrection of the previous hero.”
