The Exiled Necromancer Wants To Create a Bone Dragon

chapter 29

29 – Saint of the South

Now that it was certain that Ed would receive the protection of the saintess, he touched the necromancer license in his pocket. A subspace opened and two skeletons walked out disarmed. Seeing this, Maria was quite surprised and stepped back.

“Did you take it out right away because I said I was protecting it?”

“Shouldn’t we move the fainting paladin?”

Even though Ed has stronger stamina and strength than others because he trained his body a lot, he is essentially a necromancer. Because of the distance limit, I couldn’t use the skeleton at a distance, but I used it well for lifting instead. However, after a month after coming down to the center, I was able to get the skeleton, and even after that, I couldn’t take it out, so it was the first time I used it properly.

As the two skeletons lifted up Arebizou, who was still unconscious, Maria slightly shook her head to come to her senses and headed toward the living room. Even so, Ed, who was following behind, flinched a little every time he heard the rattling sound of two skeletons.

‘What will happen if the priests of the church see this?’

I’m walking along while maintaining my composure, but wouldn’t it look like a necromancer using a skeleton is kidnapping Arebizou? In addition, except for Areviju, the priests of the Truth Church did not know that Maria would become the necromancer’s guardian.

“Huh!”

So I couldn’t help but be so surprised.

A priest who was holding a cup as if he was going to brush his teeth after waking up from a nap in the hot weather saw a skeleton holding an arebiju and dropped the cup on the floor.

“Saint… Saintess! A necromancer behind her back?!”

‘Do I look stupid enough not to know that there is a necromancer behind my back? I guess I was just confused.’

“I know. It’s okay. I decided to take responsibility.”

Maria said to the priest with a relaxed smile. Ed nodded slightly to such a priest, and the priest also bowed his head to Ed. As Maria, Ed, and the skeleton passed by, the priest picked up the cup that had fallen on the floor, looked blankly at the person and the summoned beast entering the parlor, and said,

“Is it ruined enough to have to borrow the power of our church’s necromancer?”

The truth church won’t go bankrupt easily because they are earning quite a lot of money in return for telling the ‘truth’ in court every day, but the priest suddenly thought of that.

*

Glowyn sat and waited in the church building, then took out a book from her carrier. I thought that the necromancer’s acceptance of the saintess wouldn’t end so quickly, but I thought waiting was a bit boring. I read both books on the way down the train, but decided to read them again from the beginning.

‘Is there a library in the South?’

I still had enough money to buy and read these books, but I figured I wouldn’t be able to afford them if I was in the South with Ed for a long time. While Glowyn was slowly reading a book, Ed, who had gone inside the Church of Truth with a certain priest, walked out alone.

It was a quiet step, but because he repeated reading a line and looking at the place where Ed entered, Glowwin immediately noticed Ed’s return. Glowyn closed the book and put it in her suitcase, got up and waited for Ed to come. Glowyn said as Ed drew closer.

“Ed, have you been protected by a saint?”

“Yes. I had already prepared everything before I came, so it was over in no time.”

Ed took out from his pocket the proof that the Saint of the Church of Truth is his guardian. It was engraved on a thin metal plate like an unlimited room pass, and the scales, the symbol of the Church of Truth, were drawn on it. The words ‘Saint Maria Cetin Quasar attests to being the necromancer Ed Frozenborn’ were clearly engraved on the plate.

“Does this glow too?”

“Yes. That’s how you know who you are.”

Putting the token he showed Glowin into his pocket, Ed grabbed the handle of the suitcase standing next to him. After opening the door of the Church of Truth and walking for a while, Edgar Glowwin said.

“Mr. Glowyn, I think I’ll have to spend a night on the Lake Coast and go down a little further south. The area where monsters appear in earnest is the southern end. I don’t think Mr. Glown should go down any further if he wants to enjoy his vacation in the south.”

If Edgar took the train going east from the Lake Coast, he could go directly to the beach, which could be called a southern resort, but the place Ed wanted to go was further south, the southern frontline fighting monsters.

Glowyn came down to the South to take a vacation for superficial reasons, but in essence, she came down to collect information about Ed.

I honestly didn’t want to go with Ed because I thought it would be difficult to go down to the hotter south and go hunting monsters with Ed, who had already gone through hardships, but I didn’t think it would be much fun if I went to the beach alone. For fun, it’s better to watch what Ed is doing in the South.

‘Because I’ll have more things to tell Glodia about.’

“Come with me. You won’t make me do anything difficult, right? And just promise me that we’ll stop by the beach together before you go up to the center.”

“Will Mr. Glowyn’s vacation be long?”

“I followed Ed in the first place, so it’s okay if it takes a little longer.”

After hearing Glo’s answer, Ed slightly nodded.

“Glowin, would it be all right if I stop by the magic tool shop first?”

“A magic tool shop?”

“Yes. I think it would be better to buy a magic tool that controls the body temperature.”

“Ed can use cold magic, right? Are you trying to lose?”

Glowyn smiled slightly as she pointed a finger at herself.

“I’ve made quite a bit this time, so I have some room to spare.”

“I’m just accompanying Ed, but I haven’t done anything special…”

“If you go south, there will be many things to help me with.”

He used to work at an inn, so he didn’t know if he could sell monster corpses well, but Ed thought that Glowin would do well for some reason.

*

“Huh?!”

A little while after Edgar left with Glowin, Arevige Guardian, who was lying in the drawing room, woke up. Arebizou, who was lying on the sofa where Ed had been sitting earlier, saw his equipment on the table and stretched out his hand.

“Areviju, are you awake?”

When Maria saw this and spoke, Areviju immediately stood up, knelt on the floor, and bowed her head.

“Saint, I’m sorry. I had to risk my life to protect you to the end….”

“It’s okay. Arebizu is also a paladin, but this was his first fight with a necromancer, right?”

After hearing Maria’s words, Areviju recalled the fight she had with Ed. He was defeated because he was struck by an unexpectedly fast movement, and the second time he was struck by the sword of ice at will. It was difficult to say that those two battles used the power of a necromancer, at least compared to the third battle.

“Whew. Still, I shouldn’t have lost….”

And when he demonstrated the power of the necromancer, he was defeated without being able to use his hands or feet. A sigh came out of Arebizou’s mouth as she remembered her helpless defeat.

“It’s okay. I wasn’t hurt or anything. Mr. Frozenborn received a token from me and left.”

“Is that so….”

Arrebijou knew that Maria would prepare a certificate in advance and become her guardian unless there was a major disqualification, but he never imagined taking it while he was unconscious. Maria said while Arrebijou was feeling the sense of self-doubt that kept coming.

“By the way, Arebijou, why did you suddenly pass out after Mr. Frozenborn lifted the curse at the end?”

“that….”

When I last fought with Ed, my vision suddenly became blurred and all strength drained from my body. And after feeling a cool sensation on my neck, my vision became brighter… . I was certain that I had fought the man and that he had placed a curse on me, but as my stamina recovered and I regained my vision, I remembered the face of the man nearby. Arebizou lowered her head to hide her red face.

“Is there something else?”

“No….there isn’t….”

“Areviju, seeing that appearance makes you want to use your powers, doesn’t it?”

Ordinary people could use the power once every few months, and priests could use it once every few months, so it was a saintess, but it was also a virtue of a paladin not to use power for such a thing. Arebijou looked up and said, still feeling that he was blushing.

“I was taken aback because the man’s face was so close. I looked at him while my body was weak… and my head suddenly got hot…”

Even though she said that she fainted because she saw the man’s face up close, Arrebijou was too embarrassed to face Maria.

“Arebijou had little love experience…”

To some extent, Maria understood that Arebiju, who had no dating experience at all, was very surprised to see the handsome Ed face up in front of her.

“Saint? You did that because you were scared?!”

“It’s more of a problem if the paladin who is supposed to protect the saint faints because he’s scared of the necromancer.”

“I did it because I’m a man….”

“There must have been men nearby when you were training to become a Holy Knight. Was Mr. Frozenborn any different?”

“Those sweaty guys are biologically male, but they are completely different people….”

A handsome northern man was a pretty powerful weapon for Arrebijou, who had been trained as a paladin and had been trained by men and had been Maria’s escort for several years.

“Arebijou, I don’t yet fully trust the Frozenborn. I think having someone I can trust by my side will lessen the problems of being a necromancer.

“If you’re going to throw me out for not properly escorting the saintess… I’ll accept it.”

“It’s because I think other paladins can’t handle things better than Arrebiju.”

Because it was Arrebijou, he humbly admitted defeat. Wouldn’t a normal paladin have insisted that he used a cowardly move to the end? It was a pity to send such a flexible paladin, but Maria wanted to receive information about Ed Frozenbone more than that.

“Even though I am Ed Frozenborn’s guardian, being a necromancer doesn’t change, so if there is a problem, there is only one person who can solve it and report to me what he is doing.”

“Are you the necromancer’s guard? I see.”

Maria took out a small triangular magic tool from the desk drawer and blew mana into it. The triangular magic tool turned round and round and pointed in one direction. Maria waited for Arebijou to wear all of his equipment before handing over the magic tool.

“Please ask me to stay on Rake Coast until a paladin comes to replace Arrebijou.”

Arebijou lowered his head slightly and walked out of the parlor with a quick step. Maria put her hand on the crystal ball that could contact the church headquarters and asked for another paladin to protect her since she was going to send Arebijou outside for a mission. When they asked what mission they were sending outside, Maria briefly replied, “Guarding a key person.”

Arrebijou walked quickly along the direction the magic tool indicated and found two people coming out of the magic tool shop.

Thus, a paladin and Ed’s guard were added to Ed’s party.
