"Bonnie is just new at this, she'll get there. Why don't you make amends faster and enhance Jeremy today?" Elena decided to be a bitch now that she knew she wasn't getting the power boost. Even though she is happy for Jeremy, it just sucks.

"Okay, but we are going to need a lot of doppelganger blood. To shorten the pain. I did mention it will be excruciating right?"

"How painful are we talking?" Bonnie asked with concern.

"Take what Damon just went through and times it by a 8 and I'm being conservative here."

"However, with the human Petrova doppelganger blood that just happens to be related to him, he will pull it down to time 4, maybe. It will still be very painful for a boy who couldn't handle emotional pain and tried to commit suicide, So don't hold your breath."

"Ouch. And here I was beginning to like you a bit." Jeremy said with a side smirk. "Don't worry about my pain, just make me stronger." He said.

"Whatever will you choose?" Katharine gestures to the pages on the table. Accelerated healing, strength, speed, and slow aging. You may choose two, but if you turn first, you don't have to choose."

"No, Jeremy is not turning into a vampire!" Elena shouted in outrage.

"Why are you always wailing like a benchee?" Katherine looked at Elena with a frown.

"Also why are you feeling strongly against this? You are ridding vampire 'D' almost everyday or you don't want your friend to find out how good it is?" 

"Oh my god Katherine, don't remind me." Jenna pinched Katherine who scooted away from her. 

"As I was saying Jeremy pick two. You are still young and..." She looked at his entire body.

"Still need to grow, but the slow aging doesn't slow down aging it Holt's it, for a while at least. You will get 20 years from someone with my age, 10 years from someone with Elijah's age and 50 years from Stefan or Damon. If the years are below hundred years you may get all of their vampire years."

"Are we using your blood?" Jeremy asked.

"You can't use my blood, it comes with some complications. I have someone old enough and will donate if we pay her enough. I'll take care of it. I wonder if my sire is still in town." She said to no one in particular.

"You want to use Rose? The one who's life you destroyed when you ran away from Klaus? That Rose? I don't think she will help you." Elena said with a sneer. 

 "Are you inept little girl? If she refuses to help, your baby brother will be killed, again maybe this time he will die in Stefan's hands. Spice up the drama." Katherine said in excitement. 

"What complications?" Jeremy asked looking at Katherine in the eyes. 

"You said we can't use your blood since it comes with complications, what are they?"

"None of your business." Katherine answered displeased.

"You just don't want to contribute." Elena chip in.

"Are you stupid? I'm the one doing the spell." 

"But you won't shed a drop of blood, why? If you are so sorry for the crap you pulled why are you refusing?" Elena pressed. 

"Elena, why don't you tell us how you really feel about Damon?" Katherine walked towards Elena who took several steps back. 

"One look from me and you will run to Stefan confessing to him all about how you feel about Damon. I can make a recording of you telling us how you want both brothers to serve you together and post it to your school website. Do you want to try it?" Katherine asked and Elena became terrified. 

"If you wake up feeling like you want to be a bitch, piece of advice little girl. Choose your opponents wisely." Elena is overwhelmed by fear and fell to the ground on her knees. 

"Was that necessary." Jenna went to pull Elena off the ground. She had just gone to the bathroom and this is what she finds upon her return?

"She wouldn't play nice no matter how much I tried Jenna. I'm very old but my patience is still very limited." She said to Jenna. Elena sat on the couch still horrified by what just happed. 

Katherine doesn't know that when she got angry the fox had sent visuals of the things Katherine said will make her do and the subsequent consequences. 

The reaction from Stefan when he heard her confess her feelings for his brother, the disgusts in the eyes of everyone in school as they listen to her desire to be ravaged by both brothers.

In a matter of seconds, her possible future flashed before her eyes and she was horrified. 

Katherine just thought Elena is too weak willed while Caroline and Bonnie are surprised by her exaggerated reaction.

"I'll take Jeremy for the preliminary cleansing to get ready for the main event. Caroline you are coming to help." Katherine said leaving towards the stairs. 

"I'm coming with, what? I don't trust her with Jeremy." Bonnie said but Katherine stopped her with a turn of her head. 

"Don't you have something to report? I accidentally saw the spell in that book when you were distracted gazing into Jeremy's eyes." Katherine snapped back. She then looked at Caroline. 

"I need you to come and hold Jeremy down for me. He will struggle since he'll be in pain." 

"Why don't we let Bonnie handle his naked wet body? Making me do it is bullying." Caroline complained.

"How did you know he'll be wet?" Raised eyebrow Bonnie asked.

"Katherine said Cleansing." Caroline fixed Bonnie with a 'dah' Expression.

"You are a vampire that is why I chose you, I need to make use of your strength. I'd do it myself but..... I don't want to." Katherine walked up the stairs. 

Jeremy and Caroline followed dejectedly. Bonnie told them about a spell that save Elena. However, it will need one of the parents to trade places with the child, Elijah took out a powdery substance that is meant to bring back the dead.

Bonnie had gotten the idea from John who sought her out to avoid Elena becoming a vampire. 

Elijah's powder had been kept for Katherine 500 years ago. The people in the room were stunned but now Elena has to decide which option to choose from.

On one hand, she will have a substance whose actual capacity to bring people back from the dead is not certain. 

On the other hand, there is a method which is certain to bring her back. However the price is one of her birth parents. Given she is not fond of them both but living with that kind of decision is heavy. 

John offered himself seeing as Elena is unable to make a choice. He doesn't think Isobel will agree anyways since she is a very selfish woman and vampire may not work anyways and he will have to live with this decision.

The room is suddenly enveloped in a tense emotional atmosphere. It seems everyone is touched by John's sacrifice.

"Aren't we being a little too optimistic? I'm still not sure about my ability to perform the spell. So maybe we should revisit Elijah's plan. Hell I'd even take Katherine's weird runes at this point." Bonnie meekly said.

Elena reached out and held her friend's hand. "You will get there, and I'd rather put my life in your hand than Katherine." Elena's righteous words made John frown, it is his life on the line and he doesn't want it to go to waste. But what can he say? Elena has spoken. 

Had Katherine been present she would have said "Go friendship. Everything else be dammed." 

Jenna, hearing Elena's words also frowned and unlike John she couldn't keep quiet.

"Elena, it will be John's life too. Do you want it to be a meaningless sacrifice? How about he have both methods tested? We can use it on animals ...." He didn't get to finish.

"Aunt Jenna, this is my decision. I don't trust Katherine, You saw what she did to Damon?" She didn't say anything about what happened to her. 

"The same Damon who killed the sweetest boy who would help old people carry their groceries? He didn't seem very sorry did he? Tell me Elena, what did he do to deserve your devotion that a young man who used to baby sit you all as kid dying meant nothing to you?" Jenna asked with a cold tone. 

"Aunt Jenna, I get that Katherine has been trying but you don't know her like we do, she is a horrible person." Elena said with an imploring tone.

"Right. I suppose Damon is an angel." Jenna went to check on Jeremy upstairs. Elena became speechless. 

Before Jenna reached the bathroom she could here the girls talking. 

"Can I ask you something?" Caroline spoke as it scared to poke a honest. 

"Go ahead, Ask away. But I warn you Caroline, some truths are better left alone." Katherine said with a playful voice.

"Why are you doing all this?" Caroline asked with a slightly uncomfortable tone. 

"That I can tell you. I had done many things unapologetically back then just to remain elusive to preserve my life. I don't have to be that awful person any more. Just in time too, I can start over. I really want your friendship Care, You are just the flavor I want. Happy, takes the initiative, and you have never had anything handed to you. You work for what you want." 

"Elena gets all the attention even without meaning to, while you barely get scraps. Bonnie is born from a powerful bloodline. You on the other hand are constantly overlooked." 

"All that positive energy is much needed in my cloudy world. Not to mention you are a good person, deep down and just on the surface. All Though, it is annoying at times and makes you stand out like a sore thumb in this dark world. Which is why I killed you." Katherine said with a sincere expression.

"Wow. Your ability to sour a good moment is amazing." Caroline grumbled. Katherine just shrugged. 

"You two are not going to make out are you?" Jeremy asked, the two girls looked at him in unison. Seeing this he took a step back in visible fright. 

"Get in." Katherine instructed. The bath tub has clear water. Jeremy and Jenna, who has also come inside at some point looked at her in confusion. 

"I only put one drop of body refinement elixir, because that is what you can endure. In fact, I should have put less than that." Jenna looked at Caroline.

"I saw her put one drop of some strong medicine in there." Caroline said to the questioning glance she was getting from Jenna. 

"How strong is this medicine?" Jenna asked. 

"It's purifies the body starting with the outside. If you drink it your insides will be cleanse though I wouldn't recommend it. If There's some sickness inside, cleaning it will be brutal. I recommend it for everyone." 

"Lets focus on Jeremy for now." Jenna said bringing back the two girls who are busy fantasizing about perfect skin.

"Oh, and Jeremy. Remember all those drugs you used that time in order to forget the pain? Good luck with cleaning the after effects." Katherine slapped him on the back.

Jeremy got into the water and Katherine materialized duck tape and taped his mouth. The two girls looked at her but she just shrugged. "You don't want the neighbors thinking you are abusing the orphans do you?" 

Caroline and Jenna agreed, which left Jeremy. A few moments into the water, Jeremy started screaming into the tape on his mouth. He struggled with all his might. The two girls got worried and Jenna started tearing up so Katherine kicked her out. Every time he passed out from the pain Katherine slapped his face hard. Caroline ended up doing it eventually. 

Katherine told her that he needed to be awake to receive the grace of the cleansing because he will die in his sleep otherwise. A long hour later Katherine told Caroline to lift him up when there was no medical effect left inside the water. 

Jeremy fell asleep on his bed as the exhaustion of screaming and struggling for more than an hour kicked in. 

The two are still unsettled by the stench of the impurities from Jeremy. The black goo seemed to want to cling to Jeremy like it was alive. They made their way in the lounge still shuddering. 

"That was brutal Katherine, is there no other way?" Caroline said with barely concealed terror. The three of them went down stairs Caroline and Katherine poured themselves a glass of a strong drink. 

"You are under age!" Jenna snatched the glass from Caroline. Caroline laughed.

"I need it to nullify the cravings." Caroline whined.

"For blood?" Jenna asked awkwardly but Caroline picked up the conversation quickly.

"Yes. Blood, blood, sex, sex and blood. It's annoying, when I was first turned I shut myself inside myself and decided to be the usual Caroline that everyone knew on the outside. But inside I was freaking out." Caroline said as she drank another glass.

"You can release the Caroline within so she can play." Katharine said which made the two girls want to strangle her.

"You are the one who turned me!" Caroline showed her fangs and the vampire face. Making Katherine show her own before she started running away saying, "haha too slow... Such a slow vampire baby." Jenna sat on the couch laughing at them.

Elijah went to get the blood, Bonnie left to practice the life stealing/ transferring spell. Elena went to the Salvation house. No doubt to check on her boyfriends.

The three girls started making dinner. They failed that task so They ordered pizza and called it a day. Jeremy woke up famished.

"What are you guys eating?" Jeremy asked from the stairs as he walked down. The girls looked his way and they were all slack jawed as the handsome young man before them.

They forgot all about the pizza and surrounded him checking and probing. Everything Jeremy got upgraded from a 4 to a solid 6.

"I can't believe it, he looks better than ever." Jenna said in an excited voice.

"It is just the beginning." Katherine picked up the remote and started searching for a channel to watch. 

"OMG! Do me next, please." Caroline begged. They started saying they should go next.

"Caroline, you can do it but yours will be profoundly painful. Vampires drink human blood and that blood is packed with impurities." Katharine cautioned.

"Pain? I don't mind it one bit. Let's do it tonight okay?" Caroline asked with a coaxing tone making Jenna laugh at her.

"Tonight we can do Jenna, she is human and will probably get obvious results. Not to mention I'm lazy to be holding down a screaming vampire." Katherine rolled her eyes. 

Jeremy is then left standing there after being showered with attention. He looked at them with a weirded out expression.

He focused on eating, he felt so hungry. Seeing that the pizza will finish, he ordered another one. His appetite has improved a lot. The last time he felt so much hunger was probably before, the drugs, the accident, the vampires.

Jeremy had been so hungry he showered and came back for more pizza once it was delivered the second time around.

"I have to go help Tyler with his turn. He'll turn and I'm going to be there." Caroline got up and because she knew what Katharine would say about fraternizing with the enemy, she didn't stay to listen to her response.

They had helped Jenna with the refinement process and now she is sleeping it off. Caroline will have to do It some other day since Katharine is tired, she hasn't been feeding lately and it is showing in her stamina.

She is not stupid enough to starve herself to the point of decaying but the feeling of tiredness has been a great change for her. A person who would be meditating or working on something else since the cultivation base she had, was very high childhood.

Now however, she can pretend to be mortal and do mortal things. She took a shower and went to sleep. She was so tired she didn't bother with the man behind the curtain.

During the meeting, Elijah had told them they needed a moon stone.

The next morning Jeremy along with Bonnie met Elena and Stefan to discuss how to pry the moon stone from the bitch Katharine. Bonnie suggested they use Caroline who seem to get along well with Katharine.

Jeremy listened and heard how Bonnie was going to use Caroline like she hadn't been isolating her for being a vampire a while ago. Katherine was right, they have all turned into monsters. Including him since he would probably do worse thing in the future.

The following day Damon who wasn't a part of the conversation the day before woke up feeling better but would still shudder when thinking of Katharine and the pain he suffered. He clenched his fist thinking of fun ways to torture Katharine until she Begs for death.

Caroline came over so she can see Jenna's transformation. "OMG! Jenna you look amazing." Caroline gushed.

"No matter where I look in the mirror I still can't believe this is me. I have always thought my skin Is perfect, now I'm just shocked." Jenna enjoyed the complements.

"Where I come from, beauty is a sin if you cannot protect yourself." Katharine said with a thick Bulgarian accent.

"What was that?" Caroline is the first to notice.

"It happens when I'm not well rested. I haven't been feeding lately it's starting to affect me. But don't worry I have just been very busy making that refinement elixir I haven gone to the hospital.". Katharine yawned.

"That is mighty irresponsible of you. You live with humans an yet you are letting yourself get hungry what If you hurt them?" Caroline voiced her concerns.

"Fine I'll go right now." She yawned again and moved to the door.

Jenna stopped her. "You look like you are going to fall, why don't you take some of my blood?" Jenna kindly offered but Katharine smiles weakly.

"We don't eat the host, that's rude. If you are really feeling bad then go and get me some of Caroline's blood bags, I'm really tired." She made puppy eyes. Jenna left with Caroline.

Katherine had been going back to the estate to check on the progress of the recruits. At first she did worry about it since Isobel is still staling and partying before coming over. 

What Katherine did not thing will happen was that the two girls Jenna and Caroline will use the elixir unsupervised. Luckily there has not been any problems for now but the future is uncertain. 

The mistake she had committed was to 

"Katherine were are you?" Jenna asked, she sounds drunk. 

"In your home, where are you?" 

"At the grill, Caroline is cheating. She is using some sort of voodoo." Jenna complained. 

"Okay I'm coming to make sure she doesn't cheat." 

"Yay." Jenna's happy voice came through a d Katherine turned off the call. She went out but is confronted by Elijah who is giving her a five liter bucket of blood.

"You were gone. I worried that you got to your old habit again." Elijah said taking back his hand. She sent the bucket to the warehouse and closed the door. 

"Thank you for bringing it." She said and wanted to leave but Elijah held her arm. He came closer and sniffed her. 

"Creepy." She said with a frown. yanking her arm from him she side stepped and ran away. 

When she was away from the house she stopped and sniffed herself. "God, do I smell like a dog? Yep, mutt stench." She went to the grill depressed. 

Elijah stood by the front door of the Gilbert house in astonishment. "She got faster." He just realized she is at least as fast as someone 800 years old. 

He won't guess that is because she has been drinking the elixir twice a day and she drinks it in full glasses. Of course, the pain is immeasurable but it is worth it.

The meditation at night and the elixir during the day, she is making good time. 

Had she been human, she would have died ten times by now. But she is tenacious and she knows Nicklaus will be here soon, delaying her growth will only hinder her. 

She is walking without paying attention when she heard a commotion in a short distance away. Running to the direction only to find a deranged vampire terrorizing humans. 

Some humans thought it is a joke so when Katherine ran in the middle and pulled the vampire away, they thought the joke is over. 

The vampire is over her shoulder but by misfortune the vampire bit down on the side of her waist. Katherine felt like being struck by lightning. Drinking her blood, who could be so crazy?" 

She smashed the dude on the ground with a loud dud. Pacing back and forth, just about to leave she found something peculiar, a stench, why haven't she smelled it before? This vampire is sick, and dying. Tracing the source she found the festering wound on the shoulder. 

Bending down she took it back on her shoulders and ran to the warehouse. When they got there a healing potion is given to the dying vampire and it worked. Healing the body in less than 2 minutes. 

After sleeping for 6 hours Rose woke up to find herself lying on the stone hard floor surrounded by what seems to be herbs and weapons. Taking a few steps there is an entire section dedicated to .... clothes. Rosen's eyes went wide. 

The quantity is equivalent to a boutique.

There is a large mirror. The place is separated to several small sections. Shoes, accessories, clothes. There are two luxurious couches facing a small table. The floor carpet seems soft, why the bloody hell was she lying on the floor? 

"Hello." Rose called out. 

"You're up, good." Katherine stood in front of her and Rose's head buzzed. "Katharina." Rose's chest rose and fell but then her anger disappeared. 

"Did you cure me?" Rose asked incredulously. 

"Of course, you are my sire. I care about you." Rose stared at the face that she wanted to tier apart at some point but felt she couldn't bring herself to hate her, not even a little bit. In fact, she felt rather fond of Katherine.

She fell down clutching her chest. The idea of hurting Katherine has brought her physical pain. This is impossible. 

"What happened?" She asked through clenched teeth.

"You bit me, that has consequences. But don't worry about it. Take this and drink. Remember Rose, you can't scream, in fact you don't want to make noise. Don't cause trouble either all my stuff is very expensive." 

Rose drank the disgusting liquid and saw Katherine drinking two glasses of it. At least she is not being poisoned. Still contemplating what she just drank, a sudden heat filled her entire body as if she is burning. 

She oddly didn't want to scream. She turned and saw Katherine sweating, the sight feels her with more pain so she looks away. 

The pain is bone deep. The suffering last for two hours and Katherine shows Rose where she can wash off the impurities on her body. Katherine on the other had goes to the lake where there is plenty of water unlike the limited amount in the warehouse. 

Coming back to Find Rose wearing a light dress. "I feel great, as if a burden has been lifted off me. What was that staff anyways." Rose seems happy as she chose open shoes to wear. 

"It is a special tonic. Are you ready to tell me what happened? Why were you chewed by some vicious animal?" Katherine asked she didn't want to prove into her mind, Rose has lost her freedom already. Katherine doesn't want to become a slave master. 

She walks to the tattoo machine and put together the place. She then calls Rose and tells her to take off her dress, Rose does it without hesitation. 

"What are we doing?" 

"I am putting up a shield in your mind. No one will be able to compel you or get into your head. This Shield will also protect you from me. I won't feel your emotions and see your thoughts." 

The process is simple and not so daunting when doing it on another person's body. There is the rune for her to walk in the sun. She didn't want to put it inside jewelry when there is a better way. 

"Are you able to feel and see all that? Why are you shutting it off? Are you dissatisfied with me?" 

"Listen to yourself, not long ago you wanted to kill me. The shield will also negate some of the effects of my blood. Your devotion is extreme it will make people suspicious of me so I need to reduce it. It will still be there and of you need to talk to me just use a phone." 

The bond will allow Katherine to feel her life force, she will know if there's something wrong like when where life is threatened or when she is killed.

Katherine still has a way of connecting to Rose and see what Rose is seeing if need be but right now she just needs to put up this wall. 

The connection is not all good. It will corrupt and lure the master into lording over her slaves.

This is why Katherine had always been reluctant to use the blood of a fox like this. Thrall and slaves will spoil her good nature, turn her into a tyrant. 

"Are we separating?" Rose asked with a sad tone. Katherine takes out a map and a few necessary items such as a phone, wallet with credit cards and most importantly car keys. The car is in the corner covered. 

Katherine pressed the unlock button and the car lights turned on. They removed the cover and Rose fell in love with the car. A few comforting words later Rose is back to normal, knowing she can walk in the sun is even better. Katherine can feel the sire bond becoming intense with Rose's admiration growing. 

"So, you can do magic now? And you are a potion master. What else is lying underneath your tails of running and hiding from Klaus?" Rose joked.

Currently they are playing chess and Katherine is not winning. She has put up the shield rune on Roses waist on her request but she still need to test the strength of the bond. 

"Check mate." Rose took all the chips on the table without remorse. This delighted Katherine, this action means the bony is not too extreme anymore. Katherine smiled and stood up looking at her watch. 

"You remember your instructions?" 

"Train with the recruits, improve my combat prowess, supervise the progress of the others and keep a close eye on the supplies." Rose said rolling her eyes. She skipped to the car and drove it away. 

Katherine locked the warehouse and walked to the Gilbert house but got a call from Stefan. 

"Wrong Petrova doppelganger." She hang up. Elena called next. 

"Little snowflake, you can't be missing me right?" 

"Rose is dead." 

"Yes, for centuries now." 

"She was bitten by a wolf." Elena said and Katherine kept silent. 

"Who did it?" The tone is chilling. 

"A werewolf named Jules." 

"Why?" The tone is still chilly 

"The wolf came for Damon but Rose saved him." Elena waited but there is no response. 

The phone got hang up. Elena looked at the people in the room. She had a bad feeling about this. Damon closed his eyes remembering Rose in pain shaking and sweating. He hoped Katherine will come for him, he really deserves to suffer. 

"So the devil has a heart. How unfortunate for the wolf." Bonnie sent a low prayer for the werewolf who killed.

It wasn't hard to find the wolves in the woods. The stench of dogs permeating the air. There are six people including Tyler. 

"I found you little Cubs. Which one is Jules?" Katherine asked the people braaiing meat and having drinks. The approach of a vampire set them all on alert.

"What do you want here vampire?" One guy asked looking like he is getting ready to fight. 

"It appears I have stepped into your territory, this place reeks of your collective pee. How disgraceful. Even the son of the major is here, rolling in filth." She walked slowly towards them and stood in front of them. 

"I remember you, the one who brainwashed Mason. Katherine." 

"Perhaps I had stuttered so I'll repeat my question, which one of you is called Jules?" The fire increased. A small flame tunnel into into in inferno and moved to surround them.

"My anger is slipping, I have decided to barbecue something else today. I'll burn some and feed their meat to the ones who survive." She said in a low voice.

The screams wounded from inside the flames. "I am Jules, pleas let them go." A woman screamed in terror. 

"But then what will you eat?" She increased the flames a notch. The screams also increased. 

"Mason. Katherine Mason said you loved him, I heard you tortured Damon last week for his death, we are his pack!" The flames continued. 

"Mason is gone, his pack should accompany him." 

"Katherine, No!" Caroline came whooshing from the side. She wanted to go in to save Tyler but the flames were too much. 

"Please, He is just a boy. His father died, his uncle died Mason was his brother you remember this don't you? He is the last Lockwood. Katherine, you asked for my forgiveness, you want to be a better person. You have to curve your impulses." 

The flames got sniffed out as if they were never there. The people are so badly burned out they look terrifying. Katherine threw five vials of healing potions to Caroline and turned around. 

She found Stefan, Damon, and in the far side she can see the humans running this way. She disappeared from their sight. 

"There's only five. Who do I save?" Caroline asked the vampires after she finished giving the first potion to Tyler. 

"I think it is obvious who doesn't get one." Damon fixed Jules with a burning desire to kill. 

"Thake her to the hospital, she will take months to heal but she will. Then I'll finish the job." Damon said when he heard a collective of gasps. He turned and saw the five werewolves healing at an astonishing pace. His jaw clenched, had he told Katherine, would she have been able to save her? 

He felt like crap even more. 

"What happened? We saw a large flame." Alaric the vampire hunter is the first to make it seeing naked men and and women not to mention the chard corpse on the ground. 

"This place is a wrack. What happened?" Elena and Bonnie finally came.

"Katherine happened, she burned them with her mind." Stefan said. 

"You're kidding? How is that possible?" Bonnie doesn't believe it. 

"No, she used the fire that were braaiing with and increased it 10 fold then the surrounded them with it. I imagine the flame kept shrinking and shrinking burning them alive. I heard her, she said she will cook some and then use their meat to feed the survivors." Caroline shuddered. 

"Really, that is evil." Elena's stomach churned. 

"Seriously messed up." Bonnie agreed. 

"I don't know, I find it inventive." Damon said. 

"Damon she was planning to cook them alive." Elena said but Stefan didn't say anything. Just standing there with a thinking face. 

"I'm happy about it Elena. She did the right thing." Damon said and the passed out werewolves woke up screaming in terror. 

"Caroline, tape his mouth, he is so loud." Damon said and got looks from everyone. 

"I don't agree with the way she went on about it but man, imagine her doing something like this for you?" Caroline said and let go of the wolves stepping back. She hasn't forgotten how they tortured her looking for the moon stone. 

"Don't admire it Caroline, she did a horrible thing." Elena admonished. 

"Well, Elena we don't all have two vampires willing to walk through fire and flood to save us. One day, it will be one of us probably me who ends up bitten by one of them and when that happens, most of the people who laugh and say they care about me will forget me." Caroline said although grateful that she was saved by the witch who made a deal with Elena, she knows she could have died. 

"Monster." Stefan said after keeping quiet for a long time. 

"What?" Caroline narrowed her eyes at him.

"When Katherine got out of the tomb, I found her talking with Damon, she told him that being loved my a monster will destroy you, I advice you to let it go." Silence ensued. 

"What do you mean Stefan?" 

"She loved Rose, in her own way. She loved her. If you think about it, Rose was her family. Someone with whom she shared blood. She might not have shown it but looking at this destruction and pain. Only love can drive someone over the edge to this extent." Stefan spoke with eyes full of an unreadable expression. 

"These wolves should leave town, I'd hate for them to run into her when Caroline is not there to talk her off the ledge." Stefan said and turned around to leave. 

"Are we just gonna skip over the fact that a small vial of medicine just brought people back from the clutches of death?" Caroline asked but everyone is having their own calculations. Katherine's value just skyrocketed.

When they got back the found Elijah sitting in the shade waiting. Seeing them come back with a smell of smoke. He raised his eyebrows. 

"Did you enjoy a braai in the woods?" He asked but as soon as the words fell, the girls including Caroline puked making the guys run away from them.

"God, my stomach hurt. The image is burnt into my mind forever." Bonnie walked like a zombie to the seat followed by Caroline and then Elena, all their expressions ugly. 

"So, where is Katharina?" Elijah asked and this time everyone stiffened. 

Eventually someone explained what happened. Elijah was surprised because he killed Trevor. Or was it because he didn't turn her? So if he had killed her.... he doesn't finish his thoughts when Jeremy called Elena. 

"Jere...." 

"Hey Elena I'm going on a road trip with Katherine." 

"No! Jeremy come back right now! Do you here me?" 

"Hey, cuddle buddy."

"What?" Elena's confused voice asked.

"Umm, the other night when we shared a bed. Just the two of us, you fragile soft human body against mine.... I'm still enjoying the after taste. Do me a favor and ask the brothers if I can maybe have a turn.."

"Ewu no, wait what do you mean brothers?" 

"Sigh, Let's not lay our private laundry to the outside world shall we? I can hear breathing on the side, gods Bonnie Bennett is also there. She sounds worried." 

"You are changing to subject too fast, bring Jeremy back home this instant." 

"Next time try to sound more commanding and less whiny, don't worry I can teach you how to control that inherent whinny aspect of our voice, in bed..." 

"Okay enough of that, Katharina where are you?" 

"Mmhm. On second thought Elena you should take lessons from Elijah, see how he doesn't need do increase the volume or repeat himself? Ooh Jeremy look at my arms, I have goosebumps." 

Elijah tried to hide his smile. "The location, Please." 

"No, I want to fulfill my end of the deal as soon as possible. I don't want any of you nosey people disturbing me when I need to concentrate." 

The phone was turned off. The room got quite. Elijah looked at everyone in the room one by one and said in a slow nonsense voice. "Not a word about what was said here, understand?" 

"I think I understand what she meant now." Caroline said in a mosquito like voice, the vampires bust out laughing. 

Bonnie called Jeremy and spoke before he could say anything. "Katherine, I can help. I'm a witch and can help with the preparations." 

"Meh, I already have a Bennett witch I can call. Why don't you go home and brush up on your skills Bonnie? Stop sitting around surrounded by vampires all day long." 

"Hey..." Caroline complained. 

"And you, werewolves, really Caroline? I can not believe you were rolling around with fleas." 

"That's not...."

"They kidnapped and tortured her to get to the moon stone, so if you think about it, it's really your fault since non of us know where the moon stone is." Damon said at last. 

"Oh? dear Damon, you wouldn't happen to know who did this would you?" The harsh sound of tires brake on the road coming through the phone. 

"Hey I'm fine and you already barbecued some of them anyways." Caroline.

"What a thing to relive fond memories." 

"Hey, It's all good, besides since when do you care about Caroline anyways?"

"This is a matter of principle Damon, what if word gets out that a newbie I turned was bullied by Klaus's extended family?" 

"Caroline, from now on you stay away from anything with fur got it?" 

"What about dead fur?" Caroline joked. She is in a good mood, she now has someone who will avenge her if someone bullied her. 

"Especially Dead fur." 

"I don't remember you being soft hearted with Stefan and me." Damon said but regretted those words. they make his sound whinny.

"How could you? You were too busy hating your brother, and he was too busy destroying every life form he came a cross. I was there Damon in the shadows ... at times. It would have been easier had you to been moving along the path of the research I was on. Oh well.

"Hey Katherine, If something happens to Jeremy, I swear to god..." 

"You'll what? Cry me to death?" 

"Come down snowflake, your brother will not be cooked an eaten by me. He is just a brat, no need to be overly worried. Tell Bonnie I'm helping her, when he comes back he will be bigger."

She took away Jeremy's phone and turned it off, removed the sim card then threw it to him.

"This is a small vacation from school, don't worry I'll bring you back soon. By then, you will see everything with a calm heart."
