Chapter 71: Descending The Mountain
Inside a dimly lit space a pair of eyes could be seen, the sound of clothes being torn rang out.
As he wrapped his damaged hand one could see that he sat on a massive boulder.
He looked behind and saw a view of the outside, massive raindrops fell.
Above the dark clouds the whale let out another cry, the clouds shook and the massive water droplets turned into small raindrops.
He began to practice, first was foundation, as he said that the center of his brows showed a green light.
He blacked out for a sec and when he came to he was inside his soul room, there was nothing but darkness.
He noticed that there was nothing above him nor below him. He took a step and felt himself falling.
But in this place there was no up and down so one could say he was stationary, but the feeling made him almost go mad.
Horrible memories flashed through his mind, he took a step back due to shock, as he was recovering a green light shot out.
And as if having it down will it moved leaving a line of words
"Barren planes."
As he spoke this he felt a change, suddenly a bright light shone and the entire space started to swirl.
Startled Tristan tried to move but to no avail, he got sucked into the whirlpool.
He woke up and found himself sweating profusely, looking outside he saw that the rain was still falling.
He then thought about something but in the next began to practice.
Mentally Tristan had reached the limit of this art but physically he was but a beginner.
Extreme body art.
Tristan thought but as he continued to practice his thoughts were scattered into the wind.
Each movement was slow and deliberate and a vague understanding could be sensed from his flesh.
As he moved he felt as every muscle tensed and relaxed, the air filling his lungs, his strong heartbeat, and the blood flowing in his body.
At this moment Tristan's body began to go through a subtle change, ten hours passed and he could still be seen practicing.
He didn't feel hungry nor the sense of exhaustion, he stopped and thought.
"It seems like that in this world my mysterious techniques were just good exercises"
He then sat crossed legged and began to meditate, he opened up his soul room and his perception of the world disappeared.
He opened his eyes then looked at his hands then at the light brown earth beneath him, he looked up and saw a small pond of water in front.
The world was dim which gave off an ancient vibe.
He stood up and as he did so information was transferred to him the pool of water in front was a collection.
This seemed to represent his intelligence, he looked at the earth beneath him and it seemed to be his foundation.
He looked in front again and saw a bundle of seeds, moss and grass.
This seemed to represent life or resilience.
After gaining a bit of understanding that bright green light appeared in front and moved swiftly.
Cultivate resilience and expand the collection.
Tristan looked at the bundle then at the pond and began to take action he began to expand the small pond of water.
As he began to widen the area he began to feel drowsy but he pulled through and expanded it by 20 in width and 6 feet in depth.
He was immediately kicked out of this space and woke up to a dark world, the rain fell outside enticing the drowsy Tristan to sleep.
The next day Tristan could be seen practicing, ten hours passed by in a flash and he began to meditate and entered his soul room.
He expanded the pond by another 40 feet and a depth of 12 feet before he was expelled.
Rain fell from the sky drowning out all noise, Tristan found it hard to hear even his own thoughts.
He went to sleep and The next day the process repeated itself, but this time he didn't expand the pond but began to plant the grass.
With his bare hands he dug a hole in the earth then planted the grass he then placed down a few more.
He turned around and placed some around a small puddle on the ground.
There were a few more such puddles, and when looking at them his face flushed red due to shame.
After planting all the grass he looked at the seeds in hand then threw some in the pond and placed some next to it and some quite the distance.
After planting everything, his body felt like it was burning up and he was forced out of the space.
Tristan looked out at the dark world and thought, it's still raining. He laid on top of the massive boulder and went to sleep.
The next day Tristan stared outside his mood a bit sour. 3 days had passed e days, yet the rain was still on.
He decided to leave the cave today and venture towards that massive tree.
He descended the boulder and went to the massive cave entrance. and peered outside.
A flashlight accompanied by thunder resounded through the land frightening our poor boy.
Patting his chest Tristan steeled his resolve and exited the cave.
Looking down Tristan knew the trip would be lengthy and dangerous.
He asest his state and it was the most optimal so he began to descend, he moved cautiously and used his gut and eyes to assess if it was safe.
From time to time he would reach a cliff side and with nerves of steel he jumped down.
The occasional protruding stones and cliff vines saved him several times but in this rainy weather anything could happen.
He was now at a rocky ridge so he had to take his time descending as he lowered himself, his foot slipped and his body swun to the side.
He placed his left foot in front, his swing to the left was stopped and when he came to the sharp end of a rock was in front.
One wrong move and it would've been over for him.
With a new understanding of the dangers he continued down his movements calculative and precise.
After descending that dangerous spot Tristan looked ahead and the canopy of the trees were right ahead.
Now that he had a close up view, he found to his astonishment that these trees were massive.
From this point Tristan has a smooth descent, the distance only being a thousand feet.
As Tristan was about to reach the bottom he froze a thousand feet he finished his descent with a few movements.
He looked at the massive mountain for the final time and turned to the forest behind.
Ancient trees towered into the sky blocking the rain with their huge canopy, Tristan looked ahead, his heart palpitating.
