CH 03 - A Reincarnated Veteran
Chapter 03
(Part:02)A Reincarnated Veteran
Epic Seven is a collectible Role-playing game with a pretty big and detailed storyline.
To sum it up, there’s a goddess and her incarnations trying to protect the world, and a demon lord sent by the opposing faction.
They’re constantly fighting, which leaves the world in ruins each time.
Inescapable destruction.
Each time the world is about to end, the goddess sacrifices her life to save it, and the cycle of fighting continues.
The game takes place in the seventh world, reborn after the sixth one was destroyed.
That’s why it’s called *Epic Seven*.
That’s the important point,anyway.
Like most collectible mobile games, the story is straightforward.
The main character, Ras Elclare, who is an incarnation of the goddess, gathers allies and deal with situations to defeat the demon lord.
“No problem.”
I spontaneously figured this wasn’t a problem.
My reflection in the scrap metal earlier didn’t look like any of the main characters or their allies.
Which means, if I just keep my head down, they’ll save the world on their own, and I can slip by as a nobody.
“Nice. No worries, then.”
As long as I didn’t stick my nose in the main cast’s business, I could probably live out this new life in peace.
Just as I came to that conclusion and thought, ‘I’d love to check my character info,’the Ankera’s corpse disappeared, leaving behind a translucent blue sphere.
“A drop item? A gem?”
As I picked up the glimmering, droplet-like object, my distorted reflection appeared on its surface.
Suddenly, one of my eyes turned red, and I felt a stinging sensation around it.
A system window, like those in virtual reality games, popped up before my eyes.

It was like a status window from a web novel or webtoon.
It listed the abilities of the body I had born into in great detail.
But something was off.
Wait a second.
Russell?
Russell Ashgreen?
This character doesn’t exist in the *Epic Seven* game.
And the status window’s format was completely different from the game’s.
There wasn’t even an equipment tab.
“What the heck is this?”
I was certain now. This wasn’t the *Epic Seven* game I knew.
There’s no character named Russell in *Epic Seven*, not even as an extra, and the term “ability” isn’t used in the game.
**Russell Ashgreen. Heir of the Demon Hunter.**
“Could it be…?”
The name suddenly clicked, becoming clearer in my memory.
Not from the game, but from a novel that restructured the game’s world.
That took *Epic Seven’s* world and spun it into something new.
A mishmash novel with elements of harem, academy life, builtproof suits, overpowered characters, and misunderstandings.
Not even worth calling a “work,” really—just an useless writer’s rough draft.
“The builtproof Weapon Master of the Academy.”
And I was the writer of that plot-hole-ridden novel.
