Corolla couldn't shake off the feeling of unease as she drove away from the parking garage. Her father's words still lingered in her mind, "She's a bastard. You don't even know how you got pregnant with her." She gripped the steering wheel tightly, trying to push away the anger and hurt that threatened to overwhelm her. Her own father harming her. She laughed at herself scornfully.

She glanced in the rearview mirror, checking on Kylie, who was quietly playing with toys she asked her secretary to put in there earlier. Corolla's heart swelled with love and protectiveness towards her daughter with an underlying fear, making her stomach turn. She would do anything to keep her safe!

As she drove, Corolla's mind wandered back to Ayden and his story about her mother's family. She had always known that her mother had a complicated past, but she had never asked her to know more. Now, she couldn't help the growing curiosity that's building up, wondering if what he's been saying was the truth.

Corolla pulled up to her mansion, parking in the driveway. She got out of the car, helping Kylie out of her seat. As they walked towards the front door, Corolla's phone rang. She hesitated for a moment before answering it.

"Hello?" she said, her voice somewhat cautious.

"Corolla, it's Ayden. I hope I'm not interrupting anything," he said, his voice smooth and charming.

Corolla raised an eyebrow, thinking she blocked his number already but quickly realizing that it must be a new number. "What do you want, Ayden!?" she asked, her tone exasperated.

"I wanted to follow up on our conversation earlier. I think we got off on the wrong foot, if you could listen or give me a chance to explain more..." Ayden said, his voice full of sincerity.

Corolla snorted, rolling her eyes. "Save it, Ayden. I'm not interested in whatever game you're playing."

There was a pause on the other end of the line before Ayden spoke up again. "I'm not playing games, Corolla. I'm trying to help you. Your family... they're not what you think they are."

Corolla's grip on the phone tightened, her heart racing with anticipation and anger a little, because she had no family really. What did Ayden know about her family? And why was he so determined to tell her? And was she even willing to meet this new family and then get her heart broken?

"I'm listening," she said, her voice very low, kind of a whisper.

Ayden's voice dropped a notch as well. "Meet me at the old oak tree in the park at midnight. Come alone."

The line went dead, leaving Corolla staring at her phone in confusion. What does he mean come alone? Why midnight? What was Ayden planning? And why did she feel like she was being pulled into a world she didn't understand? She did not like the feeling of being a puppet!

Corolla looked down at Kylie, who was watching her with big, curious eyes. She forced a smile onto her face, trying to reassure her daughter that everything was okay.

But as she walked into the mansion, Corolla couldn't shake off the feeling that her life was about to change in ways she couldn't imagine.

She handed Kylie over to the nanny, instructing her to give Kylie a bath and put her to bed. Corolla then went to her room, locking the door behind her.

She sat down on the bed, her mind racing with thoughts of Ayden and his mysterious message. What did he know about her family? And what did he want from her?

As she sat there, lost in thought, Corolla's phone buzzed again. She hesitated for a moment before picking it up.

It was a text message from an unknown number. "Don't trust Ayden. He's not what he seems."

Corolla's heart skipped a beat as she stared at the message. Who was sending her these messages? And what did they know about Ayden? What's with this weird occurrences?

She looked around the room, feeling a sense of unease. It seemed like she was being pulled into a web of secrets and lies, and she wasn't sure how to escape.

As the night wore on, Corolla found herself growing more and more restless. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, that someone was watching her.

Finally, at midnight, Corolla made her way to the park, her heart pounding in her chest. She had no idea what to expect, but she was determined to get some answers.

As she approached the old oak tree, Corolla saw a figure waiting for her. It was Ayden, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight.

"What do you want, Ayden?" Corolla asked, her voice firm.

Ayden smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I want to show you the truth about your family, Corolla. Are you ready?"
