The Laziest System: Sign-Up System

"Come on, Ryan! Is that all you got?!"

I look at the giant of a man and wipe the blood from my lips before jumping at him. I am currently having a spar with Makarov, and boy, it is fun. He is a tough cookie and knows all kinds of martial arts to support his signature magic, which is Gigantification.

That magic not only increases his size but also his overall physical power. Someone that size should not be able to move this fast.

*BOOM*

My fist hit his fist, and I could see him grin at me. He pushes me away and throws me to the ground using his fist. He raises his leg and tries to stomp me. However, before he can do that, I jump away, use Sky Dragon Slayer magic to boost me toward Makarov, and thrust my leg at him.

"Sky Dragon's Dive!"

I click my tongue when I see him raise his hand and easily block my attack. I land on the ground, eat a lot of air, and enter Dragon Sage Mode.

"Huuuu"

"Oh?! Are you going all out now, Ryan?"

Instead of answering him, I appear in front of his head, and I can see Makarov widening his eyes in surprise and trying to block my attack. However, I am faster than him in this form.

*BOOM*

Makarov moves a little from the impact but still manages to stand his ground. He grins at me, and suddenly, more than thirty balls of light appear above him.

"Go, Rain of Light."

I twist my body, swing my arms clockwise, and activate my spell.

"Sky Dragon's Brilliance Scale!"

The light rains upon my shield, and I quickly dodge to the right to get away from the bombardment. However, as I jump away from my barrier, Makarov appears next to me and punches me.

"Urgh"

My body hits the ground and quickly jump away to dodge another punch from the giant. I look at him and scream.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!"

He widened his eyes and dodged to the left, but before he could land, I had already appeared in front of him with my leg ready to kick him.

"Sky Dragon's Dive!"

My attack hit true; this time, it was strong enough to throw him out of balance and let me do another attack. I clap my hands and slowly open them. An orb made of mana and wind appears on top of my right hand. I enchant it further by adding Senjutsu.

Before Makarov could get up, I jumped and slammed my spell at him.

"Rasengan!"

However, he cancels his gigantification before my attack hits and changes back to his normal size, dodging my attack. My attack hit the ground, creating a massive crater but, sadly, missing the actual target.

I am about to attack Makarov once again, but as I turn around, a massive fist covers my entire face, and I get thrown away from the powerful punch. Before I can get up, Makarov appears above me and sits on my body.

He has a massive grin on his face and says.

"Good fight, but it is my win."

I can only give him a small smile and say.

"Yeah. It is my defeat."

He gets off of me and helps me get up.

"Good fight."

"The last move is cheating, you know? Canceling your magic like that."

"What, and take your attack head-on? I might be reckless at the time, but I am not stupid."

"Fair enough."

I get up from the ground and say.

"Thank you for the spar."

"Think nothing of it. It has been a while since I fought like this."

"Let me help you."

I walk toward him and start to heal his body. I don't want to say this out loud, but I am proud to hurt him this much. He is a veteran who has been going through a lot, and I managed to hurt him quite a bit. I think he is a mid-tier high-class being who can reach high-tier high-class status if he goes all out.

After a minute of healing, I nod and say.

"You are good, master. Make sure to eat more of this dinner to replenish your mana."

"I will do that. Will you take another mission?"

"Yes. Kunou and Asia want to test their new magic."

He nods and says.

"There is a mission to visit Clover Town. The mission is C-rank, but the monster they need to hunt is something that is suitable for them. It is not too hard but also not too easy either."

"What kind of monster is that?"

"They need to hunt four Raging Bulls, a two-meter tall bull with red skin and thirty-centimeter long horns. They are fast, but they only know how to charge at their enemy, and with enough planning and caution, the two of them can complete the mission. It is also a bonus that Clover Town has a great hot spring, and Raging Bull is delicious."

"Thank you, master."

"Think nothing of it. Anyway, you should probably go back and change your clothes. The sun is already up, and it takes two and a half hours to reach Clover Town by train. You can complete the mission and then enjoy the rest of the day with your family."

I nod my head, thank him, and return to the guild to clean myself.

I look at the window and smile a little as Yasaka puts her head on my shoulder, enjoying the sight in front of us. Kunou and Asia are currently playing a card game that Romeo Conbolt, a member of the Fairy Guild, gives to them.

I don't know how the game is played, but by the look, it is a great game as the two of them have a smile and a great banter with each other.

"They are having a great time, huh?"

I say softly at Yasaka, who looks at her daughter. I can see her smile get bigger when she sees her Kunou having a great time.

"Yeah. I am glad to come here. I did not need to think of anything and could enjoy myself. No paperwork, no group of zealot cultists, and no stray devil killing the innocent. Only the four of us are enjoying our day."

"Me too. I am glad to have the power to take you guys here. I am glad."

"Speaking of power, have you got another one? It has been a week, right?"

I shake my head and say.

"Sadly, no. It looks like the timer is anchored to our world. We already waited for a week, but nothing happened. That only means one thing: the timer stops or is still using the time in our world."

"Which means we need months or maybe a year for it to appear once again, huh?"

"Yup."

"What a shame."

"Yeah. I thought that I could exploit this world to our advantage. Oh well"

She nods, puts away the divider between our two seats, and puts her head on my lap. I look at her in confusion as I see her frowning instead of a smile.

"Yasaka?"

"Ryan, do you feel them? The people that have been following us since we left Magnolia."

Yasaka says that with a low voice.

Ah, so it is them. I hold myself, looking in their direction, and make a hand sign. It says:

"I notice them. Don't worry. They are harmless once they know that we are not their enemy. They are investigating the people that will cause the catastrophe in the future. They are a mage group that destroys many Dark Guilds around the country."

She nods and says.

"I see. What is their name? Are they a member of a guild?"

I get close to her and say.
