Chapter 8: TOGETHERNESS
In Paris, the sun was setting, casting its final golden rays through the open window of Tracy's room. The light danced across her face, illuminating her expressive black pupils. They shimmered like glittering snow, reminiscent of the first thaw of spring that signals the end of a long winter. Hope lingered in her eyes, vibrant and unwavering. Despite the challenges she faced, Tracy remained resolute. She had learned to navigate the world alone, armed with determination and the courage to fight her battles.
The room darkened swiftly as the sun dipped below the horizon. Tracy turned toward the switch to light up the space, but in her haste, she stumbled. Her leg struck the stool by the bedchamber, and she fell hard to the floor. The sound of her fall echoed through the room, and almost instantly, Stella came rushing in.
Stella's initial reaction was conflicted—a flicker of satisfaction crossed her face, but she quickly buried it. Tracy was, after all, her only family left. Swallowing her emotions, Stella helped Tracy up and handed her a glass of water.
"What happened, Tracy? Why are you so careless?" Stella asked, her tone soft but tinged with exasperation.
"I'm fine," Tracy said, brushing off the pain. As Stella left to fetch hot water to soothe her injured foot, Tracy's gaze fell upon the open drawer of the bedside table. Her eyes widened when she spotted a cheque—a cheque bearing the name Tanishq International it is the company of Rudra's father and brother Prakash.
The cheque was drawn in favor of Dazzler Erotica Jewels Ltd. with a date for the following day. On the back, scribbled in neat handwriting, was the name Rudra and a phone number. A wave of exhilaration coursed through Tracy. Her father's name had long been erased from the annals of business, yet here was a piece of him, tangible and promising. Carefully, she tucked the cheque into the safety of the cupboard, her mind swirling with possibilities.
As she closed the cupboard door, a surge of hope filled her heart. It was the kind of hope that glistened like rain-kissed leaves, vibrant and alive. But questions loomed. Why hadn't her father acted on the cheque? Was it a postdated transaction? Tracy resolved to investigate, certain that the answers lay just beyond her grasp.
Meanwhile, in Pune, a new day was dawning. Smita, a college student with a curious mind, began her morning with breakfast and a steaming cup of milk. She hurried to the bus stop, her thoughts preoccupied with the day's classes. As she boarded the bus and secured her ticket, her attention was drawn to a disturbing scene: the charred remains of a bus, overturned on the side of the road. The blackened grass bore silent testimony to the fiery tragedy.
Two women nearby were engrossed in conversation.
"This was the accident that happened two days ago," one said, her voice heavy with sorrow. "Everyone on the bus died except for a ten-year-old boy."
"How tragic," the other woman replied. "But isn't it strange how these accidents keep happening? And the surviving children… they all vanish."
Smita's ears perked up as the first woman continued.
"Five accidents in one month. Five children survived, they only disappear. The second woman asked," how you know about it? First woman said," My husband is a constable, at this area station and he said that the police who investigate these cases either get transferred or something worse happen to them."
The second woman asked," "Worse?"What happened to them
First woman said,"Two officers were killed. This isn't just bad luck. Something sinister is at play."
Smita's curiosity was piqued. She resolved to delve deeper into the mystery. Her mind wandered to Ronith, her childhood friend, who had recently joined the Indian Police Service. She smiled at the memory of their shared past and the news she had received just last night: Ronith had cleared his training and was posted in Pune. Perhaps he could help her uncover the truth.
Smita, Ronith, and Rakshitha had been inseparable since childhood. Ronith, the brainiac of the trio, had once dreamed of becoming a scientist. Though his attempts to secure a position in research had failed, he had channeled his analytical mind into law enforcement, proving his mettle in the IPS exams.
Rakshitha, on the other hand, had been Ronith's protector in school. The bond between them deepened during a school trip to Dapoli, a scenic town nestled in the Sahyadri hills. The memory of that trip remained etched in their minds.
The students had been hiking when a senior girl, bored and mischievous, played a dangerous prank on Rakshitha. Using a peacock feather, she startled Rakshitha, causing her to lose her balance and tumble toward the edge of a steep valley. In the nick of time, a rope flew out, and Rakshitha clung to it desperately. Strong arms pulled her back to safety—arms that belonged to none other than Ronith.
Rakshitha and Ronith started loving each other after one incident happened when they were in 11th standard. Ronit was always bullied by the seniors in school. He was always beaten or teased by others so he considers himself a physically weak boy but he was the strongest boy ever.
Whenever he gets bullied by others Rakshitha and Smitha always come forward to protect him. This also was a talk in schools.
Smitha and Rakshitha are teased by the senior girls as a bodyguard for weak and handsome boys. One day the school went hiking and strolling in the woods in a hill station called Dapoli surrounded by hills and waters and sea. It is a hilly town in the Sahyadri mountains and near to Pune district of Maharashtra. This route includes a nice forest and children can learn so many things and the climate is warm.
Dapoli is a treasure trove of sightseeing attractions and has something to offer to all kinds of tourists. From pristine beaches and historical structures to ancient temples, mesmerizing caves, and age-old forts, the city has a lot to explore. You can reach Kerala or Tirupathi through this route by train or bus. Enjoying the beauty of nature ,the hills and rivers provide mesmerizing view. You will travel through the lap of Mother Nature which makes her more beautiful. It is situated in the Northern part of Maharashtra and 200 km from Mumbai. When all the children are hiking and playing. Girls and boys are walking in two groups and the teacher told them to walk in the queue separately.
The incident had transformed Ronith in the eyes of his friends. Though often seen as weak, he had shown courage and resourcefulness that day. It was also the moment when Rakshitha's feelings for him blossomed into love. Everyone was shocked to see him holding her carefully and putting first aid on her.
At night he went to see whether she was all right, and both looked angrily at him. He asked I helped you and both of you are staring at me as if I done something wrong. Both of them went to beat him, He reacted to them by saying," Girls I help you and you are not saying a Thank you and beating me, is this fair? Both of them stopped and said," Thank you, and asked why you risked your life for the sake of me, and if you are that strong then why do you not react with people who bully you? Ronith said the beautiful thing and they both fell in love that day. Hope you liked the story, and don't forget to like and comment. What was the sentence? What was the mysterious accident that happened? Will Tracy meet Rudra? What will happen after that?
