The Life of a Villain Healer

Chapter 8: Ch 8: Not Part of the Plan

"We're here, the baby ward. I'll leave you on your own Ms. Bellus, so you can pick your destined child." Thanking the matron, I looked around for Crissy.

'Silver, silver, nope, oh that baby's cute'. Still looking at every baby, I stopped at my track, 'silver'. I approached the baby (presumably Cristina).

Picking up the child, I examined them. I looked around one more time to see if there were other silver haired children, finding out that this is the only baby with silver hair, I introduced myself.

"Hi baby, I'm your new mommy." As expected of my child, she looks cute even though she's just a day old.

"My precious baby." While talking to her, she began shifting uncomfortably. "What's wrong, baby? You're not hungry are you?" That can't possibly be the case, there's a half finished bottle right beside her.

Wait.. don't tell me.. sniffing her butt, "*phew* you cute, little rascal. You scared mommy." As if understanding what I just told her, she smiled at me.

"You're just a day old and you're already messing around." Resting the baby's head in the crook of one of my arms and supporting her body with the same arm.

I used my other hand to support her bottom.

Seeing that she's comfortable, we quietly left the ward, and I looked around for the matron. "Weird.. where is she?" Not finding the matron, I started walking towards the entrance.

"NO! I don't want to be adopted!" Noticing commotion, I went there. I saw a green haired boy, throwing tantrums.

"What's happening?" I asked the woman beside me.

"Well.. that matron over there informed the boy that he may get adopted. Though, it looks like he doesn't want it." Now that's tough. Thanking her for the information I focused on them again.

"Rodan.. come on. You're embarrassing Ms. Ignis." One of the caretakers said to the boy.

'Now, hold up. Ignis?? Rodan?', HOLD UP! WAIT WAIT! That Ignis?! One of the heroines?!

"No! I don't want to be your child! I won't abandon my little sister!" The boy—Rodan, shouted.

Wait just a minute! Valerie Ignis? Don't tell me that boy.... Rodan.. Rodan.... Rodan Wraith..? One of the mini-bosses..?

I just wanted to be with my daughter! This isn't part of the plan! What an absurd luck this is, meeting one of the (scary) heroines, and one of the mini-bosses. Why am I so unlucky..? Is this a part of transmigration..?

Valerie Ignis is a vision of elegance and raw power, a warrior whose beauty is as striking as her unmatched skill. Her long, fiery red hair cascades down her back like a living flame, its brilliance rivaled only by her piercing silver eyes. Her gaze is both captivating and intimidating, as if forged from molten metal and cooled into unyielding steel, reflecting the intensity of the fire she commands.

Standing tall and commanding, Valerie possesses an athletic yet graceful build, honed by years of rigorous training. Her presence is magnetic, exuding confidence and power that commands respect on and off the battlefield.

She's the mentor of the MC, and one of the strongest swordsmans in Elaris. She's also one of the heroines! Currently she's.... Just staring at Rodan. She's just literally just staring at Rodan! 'Why does she look like a dejected puppy..?'. *Gasp* we made eye contact! I have to do something!

"What seems to be the problem?" I asked the caretaker.

"M-Ms. Bellus! What're you doing here?!" The caretaker asked.

"I'm here to adopt a child." I smiled at her (caretaker). The caretaker quickly looked at the bundle I was holding and gasped, 'why'd she gasp?'.

Anyway, I should ask again. "Now, will you kindly please answer my question?" Girl, please hurry up! I can feel a certain someone's stare at my back!

"Uh.. well—" as the caretaker was about to say something the boy quickly interjected.

"Hey! What're you going to do with my sister?!" Sister..? Who? I saw him staring at Crissy, 'oh, oh!'

What? They're siblings?! They didn't even interact in the novel!

Rodan Wraith is the embodiment of natural grace and untamed potential. With short, tousled green hair the color of a forest canopy swaying in the breeze, he exudes a boyish charm that belies his extraordinary talent. His golden eyes are sharp and focused, glowing like twin suns, reflecting a deep connection to the elemental winds that empower him.

The caretaker although taken aback, quickly covered Rodan's mouth. "What are you doing Rodan?! Have some respect!" Rodan however, didn't look away and kept staring at me.

"So you two were siblings? I'm sorry, little guy. Can you look at her just for just a moment?" He nodded, I smiled and tousled his hair.

Looking and pointing at Valerie, I whispered to him. "Thank you. Me and that lady over there will discuss something real quick."

Noticing a stroller nearby, I grabbed it and I carefully placed Cristina in it. Rodan noticing that Cristina has been put in place, rushed at her side.

"Now, I'm counting on you, okay? Don't let any bad guys approach her." I said that with the most serious face I can muster. "Yes! I'll wait for you here, Miss!" He answered while saluting. 'What happened to this sweet guy..? He was such a precious little bean'.

I signalled the caretaker to follow me, and approached Ms. Ignis, "Good afternoon, Ms. Ignis. I would like to talk to you about something." As I patiently waited for her approval, she blurted out the most absurd thing ever.

"Marry me."

"Excuse me..?"
