The Mafia's heart

Chapter 3: Forbidden attraction

Rhea couldn't shake of the feeling that she had stumbled into something much more bigger than herself. Justin Morano was a man with a reputation, a man who commanded respect and inspired fear.

As she looked into his eyes, Rhea felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew that she should be scared, and she should be running in the opposite direction. But instead, she felt drawn to him, like a moth to a flame.

Justin's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if he could see right through her. Rhea felt like she was drowning in her depths, like she was losing herself in the darkness.

But as quickly as the moment has begun, it as over. Justin's eyes flicked away from hers, and he turned to speak to one of his associates.

Rhea felt a pang of disappointment and frustration. She had been trying to get Justin's attention, but he seemed to be ignoring her.

She tried again and again, attempting to strike up a conversation with him, but he remained distant and aloof. It was like he had built a wall around himself, and Rhea couldn't find a way in.

As the weeks passed, Rhea found herself becoming increasingly obsessed with Justin. She couldn't why he was so distant, why he seemed to be pushing her away.

But she was determined to break through his defenses, and make him notice her.

Rhea felt every spare moment thinking about Justin, wondering what he was doing. She found herself showing up at invents and parties, hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

And when she did see him, she felt like she had been punched in the gut. He was always so calm, so collected, while she was a lovesick wreck.

Rhea didn't know what to do. She had never felt this way about anyone before. She was torn between her attraction to Justin and her fear to him.

As she stood there, frozen in uncertainty, Justin's eyes met hers across the room. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable.

Then Justin turned and walked away, leaving Rhea feeling frustrated and confused.

Over the next few weeks, Rhea continued to try to get Justin's attention. She found out about his company and where he lived, and would always show up at his office, hoping to catch him off guard. She sent him flowers and gifts, hoping to soften his heart.

But no matter what she did, Justin remained distant. It was as if she never existed.

As the days went by, Rhea began to feel like she was losing her mind. She couldn't sleep, couldn't think straight. She was so consumed by thoughts of Justin, and she didn't know how to stop.

One night, Rhea found herself standing outside Justin's apartment building. She had no idea what she was doing there, or what she hoped to achieve.

But as she stood there, looking up at the building, she felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was going to make Justin notice her.

She took a deep breath, then stepped into the building. She made her way to the elevator, her heart pounding in her chest.

As the doors opened on Justin's floor, Rhea felt a sense of nervousness. What was she doing?

But it was too late to back down now. Rhea stepped out of the elevator, then made her way to Justin's apartment.

She raised her hand, hesitating for a moment before knocking on the door.

There was a pause, then the door opened. Justin stood there, looking at her with a mixture of surprise and annoyance.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, his voice cold.

Rhea felt scared. She had been expecting this, but it still hurts.

"I wanted to see you," she said, trying to sound calm.

Justin raised an eyebrow. "You wanted to see me?" He repeated.

Rhea nodded. "Yes."

Justin's gaze lingered on Rhea's face, his eyes narrowing slightly. Then, without a word, he reached out and grasped Rhea's elbow, his grip firm.

"You need to leave," he said, his voice low and detached.

Rhea was sad as Justin's fingers wrapped around her elbow. She tried to pull away, but his grip only tightened.

"I don't want you in my house Rhea," Justin continued, his eyes glinting with a cold light. "You shouldn't be here."

Rhea felt humiliated, but she refused to back down. "I just wanted to talk to you," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Justin's expression didn't change. "I don't want to talk to you," he replied, his voice dripping with disdain. "I want you to leave.

With that, he turned and pulled Rhea to the hallway. Rhea stumbled, trying to keep up with his long strides.

As they reached the main door, Justin turned back and headed to his apartment.

"Don't come back," he said, his voice firm.

Rhea stood at the entrance, feeling a mix of emotions: anger, humiliation, and a hint of fear. She had prepared for the worst from Justin.

As she turned to walk away, she heard the sound of the door opening behind her. She spun around, expecting Justin to apologize or explain himself.

But instead, she saw one of Justin's bodyguards standing behind her.

"Mr Morano wants me to make sure you get home safely," the bodyguard said, his voice firm but polite.

Rhea was speechless. Did Justin really think she needed a babysitter?

But she bit back her retort and nodded curtly. "Fine."

The bodyguard escorted her to a waiting car, and Rhea slid into the backseat, feeling like a prisoner.

As the car drove away from Justin's apartment building, Rhea couldn't shake off the feeling that she was in over her head.

Justin Morano was a man who always got what he wanted, no matter the cost. And Rhea is just trying to have a man she couldn't afford.

But she was determined not to back down. She would uncover the secrets behind Justin's facade, no matter what it took.

Little did she know, Justin was watching her from the shadows, his eyes narrowing in calculation.

As the days went by, Rhea found herself increasingly obsessed with uncovering the truth about Justin Morano. She spent every spare moment researching his business dealings, talking to people who knew him, and trying to get a glimpse of the man behind the mask.

But Justin seemed to be always one step ahead of her. He was a master of evasion, and Rhea began to feel like she was chasing a ghost.

One night, she decided to take a risk as sneak into one of Justin's business events, hoping to catch him off guard. She dressed up in a stunning red gown that flexed of her sexy curves and made her way to the luxurious hotel where the event was being held.

As she mingled with the guests, Rhea's eyes scanned the room, searching for Justin. And then, suddenly, she saw him standing across the room, his eyes locked onto hers with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat.
