The Overlord Descends

It was the start of another day. It was demonstrated by the bright light coming from the crystal that was hanging on the ceiling of the floor.

Narvi woke up feeling a bit lethargic as all the fighting yesterday took a toll on her. The only relief she got was that she didn't have to stay for overnight watch. She got up from the floor, stood up straight and slapped her cheeks to completely wake up. She then went out of the tent and saw that most of her companions were already awake.

"you finally woke up Narvi, captain sent me to wake you and your group, but it seems it was unnecessary" the one that greeted her like that was a young man with gold eyes, brown hair and dog ears. He was Cruz a chienthrope.

she seemed to understand as she saw the rest of the girls coming out of the tent.

After disassembling the tent they began to eat the last of the rations they had. It seems that they needed to reach floor eighteen today or else the risk of dying would be larger. As without food they will be weakened to a perilous state.

As she began thinking that, she heard the captain ordering them to get in formation as they would begin their journey to the surface again.

she then saw the group of powerful adventurers that came yesterday. It seemed that every aspect of that Familia was excellent. From the items they had, to the power they wielded, even their features were considered godly. They possessed magic that not even the Riveria ,vice-captain of her familia, fully grasped it's power. Every time she looked at them she would subconsciously compare their looks to the gods.

She remembered the handsome face of the man in full plate armor. every time she remembered, she would blush. There were other girls in her familia that were love-stricken with him too, she wasn't the only one. Then there were the other group of girls that fell in love with the elderly man that was wearing a butler suit and the young dark elf with golden hair and red suit.

It looked like they would be leading the expedition again. They began to march to their destination

They passed the floors easily. The way they handled the monster was good, as it took no more than some minutes to clear them.

They were already on the 19th floor, they had this floor to go and they would reach the 18th floor. Narvi couldn't wait to get to the next floor.

She didn't know what time it was, but she calculated it was already midday as she was already hungry. she deduced that they took less time going through the floors. she thought it was the result of the buffs that Lupusregina gave, and the overall difficulty of the monsters. as every time they crossed a floor the less difficult the monsters would spawn.

she gave thanks as it looked like they were already entering the 18th floor.

Some of the members even went running so that they could see it. As soon as they saw what was of the 18th floor village they plopped down as if they suddenly lost their lives.

As more of the members saw this they hurried and went to see what had happened but, what they saw left them in shock. The village was destroyed completely destroyed.

she saw some of the well-known adventurers in Orario, on the site. she was paralyzed to what she saw, but the captain didn't leave them to be paralyzed like that as he quickly commanded them to move forward. They needed to know what had happened.

she turned to look at the members of the Ainz familia. she saw that Momon had a heavy atmosphere around him.

' Momon-san it's not your fault, why are you like that. why are you blaming yourself.' she thought that Momon was blaming himself as she remembered he said something about his god sending them to check some anomaly in the dungeon. so she was thinking along the lines ' Momon must be blaming himself as his god sent him to check the anomaly on the dungeon but he still couldn't do anything about it. as a result this village was destroyed and he must be thinking this is his fault.'

Meanwhile Ainz thoughts

'EEhhh!, did those three did this. why did they do it !? ' He was thinking that those three did it as he knew demiurge and albedo very well by now. He Knew about their disgust for those outside of nazarick, but he didn't think that their personality would be this extreme. It was to the point of risking themselves to be caught. Didn't they know they had to do things silently? what about Pandora's actor, didn't he remind them to control their impulses?

He was already blaming demiurge and albedo to be the cause of destruction of the small village.

from the outside, It looked like Ainz was in deep reflection about what had happened. As he had his head down and had a depressed aura around him.

sigh 'it looks like they still haven't learned' that's what was going through Ainz mind as he looked depressed.

when they were close to the village some of the adventurers saw them so they began walking to them.

"what happened" As Finn was the captain of the Loki familia, a renowned familia, he went and ask the adventurer.

"Oh, you're from the Loki Familia right. yesterday there was a dungeon outbreak. Monsters were on a rampage and were overflowing, As a result this village was destroyed. a lot of people died because of it." the adventurer said as he looked at Momon and his group. " still, did the lower levels unaffected? didn't you encounter monster en masses? Well, it all happened yesterday and things have calmed down a lot. today we just here to see if there are any survivors to rescue or dead bodies to identify in this rubble."

"hmm, so that's what happened. We were attacked by waves of giant caterpillars. we had to return earlier than planned from our expedition. we lost all of our supplies and some of our weapons. So have they found out what is the source that caused it all?"

The adventurer looked dumbfounded as Finn asked that question. "Didn't you feel it!? that amount of power radiating from the dungeon. It was so immense that some people died, and there are a lot of people that went insane."

'Oh, maybe the thing that caused all this destruction is... me ? or more like the wish I made. For the WI to bring us here it needed an immense amount of mana to do it. so it's likely that as it brought us here, it radiated an immense amount of mana and caused all this destruction. Is it like a penalty, If we could say that was the penalty then it can be considered a small...penalty? It is known that WI have a lot of drawbacks. the only drawback I see is that we will need to put double the effort to hide nazarick. as that aura gave some trouble, thus risking our hideout to be easily pinpointed.' Ainz was thinking about the drawbacks and concluded it wasn't demiurge who destroyed the village. the fault laid in him as he was the one that used the WI.

"Power radiating from the dungeon? no, we didn't feel anything like that." Finn said as he turned to look at Riveria and Gareth both of them shook their heads as they too didn't feel anything.

He then looked at Momon's group and gave them a doubting look. Although Finn had travelled with them he still couldn't trust them as they appeared suddenly.

He knew there was something wrong with this group but didn't want to bring it up.

When they first appeared he was alarmed as they appeared suddenly without him or anybody noticing their presence. the other thing that made him alarmed was they appeared had and aura of the strong, but he could not feel their presence. It was as if something was blocking his senses.

the reason he also had not brought up the small inconsistencies was because of the power they wielded. there was one time he just thought of fighting them, and his thumb began to shake like crazy. It looked like it would be broken if it kept shaking like that. It was weird, as he just thought of fighting them and he felt certain death.

"Are you okay, Finn." Riveria voice brought Finn out of his thought.

"yeah, I'm fine. we will begin to move out as it seems we will not be able to get the supplies we need in this floor." Finn said as he looked at the destroyed village. He then looked at his members" We would like to stay and help, but we can't as we need to report what happened on the deeper floors and get some rest as it looks like my members are exhausted."

He saw that even the rowdy Tione and the lively Tiona were exhausted. Even He was mentally exhausted.

As they began to move out, the adventurer warned them about one more thing. He said be careful with the "invisible one".

It seemed as there was someone or something that went killing the monsters and nobody had seen it. if that was all, then nobody would be that worried about it but it was said to wipe out a floor full of monsters instantly. It did so, so quickly that not even high level adventurers had seen it. It looked like it's goal was to collect magic stones as there were no magic stones left from monsters, it was even said to steal adventurers of their magic stones.

As he heard about it, he began to think that weird things began to happen as of late.

===============let's go back to the day before====================

"okay shadow demon you will stay here for 30 minutes, after that begin to slaughter every monster you come across and collect this stones." demiurge took a stone out of his inventory and showed it to the shadow demon." I will give you an infinite sack so that you can store the stones you collect. Remember your priority is to collect this stone. you will go floor by floor until you reach the surface, after that I will give you my location by a mental command."

After his master gave him his command he stayed there. He silently watched his master's and companions back as they left.

well 30 minutes had passed so he began to move to the next floor as his master had commanded.

As soon as he entered he saw humans fighting monsters. As he had been ordered to destroy the monsters and to collect the stones they left behind, he did exactly that.

He was killing monsters and collecting the stones at a pace that not even the highest level adventurer present could keep up. It was all thanks to his ability 'shadow warp', Since it allowed him to transverse distances between shadows. And his other ability that made it possible to morph in shadows.

He hid within the monsters shadow and quickly killed them. He didn't do anything to humans as he was only ordered to kill monsters. He also had a mental link with his master and knew that his master didn't want him to be exposed. so he didn't do anything troublesome as killing humans.

After killing all the monsters in this floor he left and went to the next floor ,but as soon as he entered he saw that there were no monsters.

All the floor had was humans , It was empty of monsters. As he saw this, he began move between the shadows of the humans as he wanted to quickly get to the other floor and collect more of the bright stones.

He was about to leave this floor when he heard something interesting.

"This the 4th time that Goliath is going to spawn right", "yeah, It's insane, the time it takes to recover and spawn is like two hours." "It's almost time for it to spawn be ready guys"

"it's a little bit troublesome to deal with, but the stone it drops look to be of great quality."

" yeah, did you see how those guys were fighting between them as to who gets to fight it."

as soon as the shadow demon heard that the stone the monster drop was of great quality his interest was piqued. He decided to stay since He heard that the monster was almost summoned.

CRACK, Boom

A huge crack was made on the crystal wall and a seven meters creature came from behind the wall.

It was a big monster, the color of its skin was grey, his had big muscles in testament of the strength he possessed.

but the poor monster had a large build so it was an easy target for the people here. It didn't even stand a chance when people above his level began attacking him.

It made wide swings as it was going crazy from all the attacks it had received. with every swing he made he destroyed the floor, walls or anything his fist touched.

If a punch like that manage to connect to any of the people here they would be gravely injured.

As the shadow demon saw all this, he was a little bit cautious. It seemed that there were people of his level, although he was sure nobody here could detect him. As it would need special skills to find him as he can even hide from higher level beings.

When the shadow demon was thinking that, he saw an opening and immediately attacked the colossal creature. The creature was already in a poor condition so it was swiftly killed by the shadow demon.

The shadow demon quickly got the stone and hurriedly escaped this floor to go to the next floor.

As he got to the next floor the shadow demon swiftly took out the shiny stone from the infinite sack. He was entranced by the brilliantly shining stone. It definitely looked different from the rest.

It looked like he already liked this business of collecting this types of stone. If he was given a chance to go on another mission like this, he would happily do it.

He knew that he his master would kill/dismiss him after some time, Although He knew that, he still didn't want to disappear.

So he began to do his mission more seriously, He tried his best to get more magic stones.

when he began to kill the monsters of this floor that were fighting with humans, he saw something he hadn't seen or thought of before.

That was adventurers picking up the crystals at every opportunity they got. He hadn't thought of them gathering it.

He then began to steal the adventurers magic stone. as he did that he saw that he had gathered more magic stones than before. He thought that maybe he would be not be dismissed if he gave more of the stones.

He began to do the same thing in all floors, he became creative in his ways of killing the monsters and stealing magic stones from the adventurers.

He had come a long way from where he was created. On the way, he had encountered different kinds of monsters. Ranging from tigers, cow headed creatures, worms, magical dogs that spat fire, horned bunnies, crystal mantis, wyverns, large white apes, baby dragons, armadillos, he even encountered some imps, moths, orcs, and ants. That was the monsters he had encountered on his way. each floor was different as there was a misty forest on a certain floor.

Right now he was facing a creatures that looked almost like him. They looked like shadows but it seemed that they were weak, unlike the strong and mighty him.

They were facing people that didn't even look dangerous, It looked like every floor he passed the weaker the monsters became.

After he cleared that floor he went to next floor.

He was intrigued as he saw what some adventurers were doing. they were chasing some sort of birds.

"Hey stop chasing them, you will never catch them." " yeah instead of wasting time catching those birds, come and help us." " Can't you see we are in a very dangerous spot here."

"B...B...But the thing these Jack birds drop is very valuable." "yeah, we can even buy a very powerful weapon even if we only catch one."

" Hey didn't you hear." " Oh, Help, Help... help...he...h" the ones that were chasing the birds got killed by some goblins. " Shit guys, those guys died." " Ahh, Help"

as the first batch of adventurers were killed the others became distracted and were being killed one by one.

"AHhh, you killed leonas I will kill you all" " YOU SON OF A BITCHES I WILL KILL YOU"

As the adventurers saw their companions being killed they began falling into rage. The adventurers were quickly going down one by one as some were blinded rage, had fallen in despair or had tried to to escape.

All this was occurring while the shadow demon was chasing the jack bird. He was frustrated as the dumbass birds were very good at running.

After he killed the flock of birds all they dropped was some sort of golden egg. Although he was confused as to why they didn't drop a crystal he quickly picked up all the eggs and put it in his sack. He was more frustrated as he took all that trouble just to get some golden egg. Although he heard the adventurers called it very valuable he didn't see it like that as his mission was to collect magic stone. Even some of the other monster drop some Items like this but they dropped a stone too, Unlike this piece of *** bird.

After he finished doing his business on this floor while being frustrated he went to the next floor . He continued doing his mission until he reached the surface. By the time he was on the surface his infinite haversack was full of magic stones and monster drops.

He went to find his creator and gave him his collections but that is for another Time.

===Back to Finn's group

"Captain wasn't he exaggerating a bit too much. Even we could clear some of the floors instantly."

"Tione, it seems you weren't paying enough attention. The floors were overflowing with monsters, even we our whole party would have trouble clearing a floor like that. Can you imagine a floor overflowing with minotaurs, we can kill them, even Riveria could kill an enormous amount like that but it would need time. He said that the 'invisible one' did it instantly even other level six and five could not catch his movements. he seemed to say his speed surpassed mines or even ottar's.

"mhm, with my magic I could kill them all. But it seemed that the person or creature didn't use any magic like that. It can be seen like that as there were persons present and if it had used magic like that, then even the people would have died." Riveria commented as she had analyzed that the person or thing hadn't used any magic like hers.

"Although I personally think it had a skill that helped him stay invisible while fighting because even the members of the zeus and hera-samas familia could not move that fast. people who were level six could see them but not react to them. So it's impossible to move faster than them. "

"So is that invisible sh*t scared of people or is he to shy to show his goddam ugly face." Bete rambled as usual, even though he knew the thing was dangerous he still decided to badmouth it. He did it to hide his insecurities but it seemed that Gareth found out.

"hahah, lad that's a way to bring up the mood and disperse all the insecurities, good job." Gareth began to pat Bete's back. Although it didn't contain much force it still looked like it hurt because of his heavy hands.

"shut up old man." bete said as he moved a bit farther.

"haha"

a lively mood was created at Finn's group. It seemed as if they had forgotten all that happened.

Ainz saw this and turned to look at his group but they were loyally following him without making any noise.

He tried to cheer his group a bit by telling they would have a party when they returned.

And it seemed It worked as they began to talk to each other meanwhile shalltear and aura began to fight who will get the privilege to sit besides Ainz (him) not momon.

And so they began their journey to the outside world. A new world to be explored .

This happened the same time the shadow demon was collecting stones in the dungeon

"We had less trouble collecting information than we expected and it seems that we are ready."

"yeah, if all those people weren't busy with that dungeon outbreak it would be a bit more difficult."

"It looks like we still have to be careful as there are a lot of people who have those powerful auras around them."

"mhm, some are comparable to the wrath's aura and there are some that radiate our levels of aura."

"It seems that they are the gods, I was expecting them to be more powerful as it was said that the supreme beings had to fight them in groups."

"It looked like this gods are nothing compared to what our creators fought. They even show their carelessness walking normally even without hiding their auras."

"mhmh, but enough chitchat for today, we have to get going and go to the guild to register ourselves."

"Pandora, It's time for you to transform in Ainz-sama's sacred form."

The three mysterious beings that were discussing in an abandoned building were demiurge, albedo and Pandora's actor.

"oh, it seems that it's time to transform into my dear fath- creators form." He almost said father, but remembered that Ainz didn't want anybody else to know he was allowed to say that.

"you were about to say father. right! Pandora's actor!."

"About what are you talking madam?" Pandora's actor said as he tilted his head, acting as if he was confused.

"I'm jealous." Demiurge muttered as he already had an inkling about why Pandora's actor almost said father.

After Pandora's actor transformed into Ainz they teleported near the guild.

On the way to the guild they had caused a commotion as some people said that albedo looked as beautiful as freya. people and gods fell in love with her immediately and the same thing happened to happened to demiurge some people fell in love with him as they described him to be well sculpted by a god of art.

After walking a while and entering the guild they caused another commotion Yet.

Guild Receptionist POV -

Today was a very busy day as people were brought injured people had been brought to guild , so they had to help the injured while others were writing names of the people who had been reported being dead.

She was already tired but there were still people who needed to be attend. Right now she was behind the counter with her face on the desk as it was her break.

She wondered when this nightmare was gonna end. She then heard people causing a ruckus so she thought that another monster had reached here. It made her body tense as it had happened once luckily it was a low leveled monsters so the adventurers here could kill it. but nobody new what could happen, so her heart raced as she lifted her face but what she saw wasn't what she was expecting.

At the entrance of the guild were three figures. At the front was a robed person who had a very disturbing mask. He was wearing a jet-black academic gown adorned with golden and violet edges. It looked extremely expensive. He also had a pair of beautifully adorned gauntlets.

Behind him were two other persons. one was a extremely beautiful woman with black wings on her back and two horns on her head, Her beauty could be said to rival freya's beauty.

The other person was a very handsome man in an orange suit, she almost had mistaken him for an elf as he had pointy ears. The one thing that made her recognize he wasn't an elf but other sort of race was his tail. He had a silver tail that seemed covered by metal plates with spikes at the end.

It seemed that they were moving to her companion's counter. As people were there in a line, the person in suit seemed a bit annoyed.

{move aside} that's all what he said and people moved aside. It seemed as he used some sort of power to control the people

"hey, why is my body moving as he says"

some people seemed to be vexed as to what he did but they could not move.

She quickly took her not attending sign and changed it to attending so that a fight did not break out here.

Still she wondered why she had not heard of people like them. She wondered if they were new as they were here instead of being on the dungeon so she assumed they just came today. And she was right.

It seemed that the robed person saw that she quickly change her sign so he told the suit guy to stop it.

"Demiurge, stop it, there is no necessity to cause a ruckus here."

"Ok, Ainz-sama. {you are free}" as soon as he said that, people could move again.

"Sorry for that, It seems that my subord- child caused an offence against you all. well then, let's move with the madam over there."

she was sure he was about to say subordinate. But it seemed that for some reason he changed his mind and said child, It looked like they would be coming to her counter.

"I would like to register myself here, I am a god that just got here today. I would also like to register my two children here as adventurers. some of my other children will be coming later or other day."

"hmm, although you say you are a god you don't have any proof of that."

Now she was sure why he changed his way of calling his companion. It seemed he wanted to impersonate a god. He didn't even have a divine aura surrounding him, who did he think he wanted to lie.

He was quiet for a while but said something surprising.

" what do you count as proof?"

" you don't even have a divine aura surrounding you, who do you think you are lying to. you could be locked for trying to pretend to be a god."

"Oh, This" He said as he took his ring off

Boom, she felt a wave of power, some of the adventurers were intimidated by it even she was scared.

It felt like she was confronting ouranos.

she hadn't felt this kind of aura before from other gods. The only one who had an aura compared to his was ouranos the god who had made this guild.

She immediately bowed and said sorry

"Sorry for doubting you Ainz-sama, It's just that you didn't have a divine aura surrounding you so I thought you just wanted to impersonate a god."

"Sorry, Sorry, sorry for being rude"

she was heavily sweating as she just had been rude to a god. she kept apologizing and bowing like crazy.

"It's okay, I forgive you milady." Ainz said It seemed.

The beautiful woman gave an irritated aura after he said that.

she then began to write the information he had given about himself.

"oh, we are short of money so we would like to exchange some gold." As he said that he signaled demiurge.

Demiurge out of nowhere took out a mountain of gold and beautiful jewels.

"Do you think you can help us exchange this. Oh, by chance do you know where I can buy a plot of land as I need it, so I can make a home for my children."

She was dumbfounded by what had happened infront of her. she absentmindedly nodded for everything he said.

As her companions all heard and saw what had happened they came to help as it would take a lot of time to calculate how many valis all the gold was amounted to.

"permit demiurge to help you moving it, just tell him where you want it."

As they received demiurge help to move the gold, they saved some time as just moving the amount of gold would cost quite a lot of time.

After two hours the receptionist came back just to see that a lot of the adventurers were already healed.

Ainz (pandora's actor) had told albedo to give them some healing potions. What the adventurers didn't know was the kind of potion they were given were some of the failures of an experiment.

It still worked well though, as it still healed low level people.

After Ainz and co got the valis they left.

She then remembered that Ainz's two children didn't registered after all.

After they left they went straight to buy a plot of land for them to build their base in this world. with the money they got they could buy a whole district if they wanted to but that's not what they were looking for.

They ended up buying a ginormous piece of land that was made up by abandoned buildings. They calculated that they needed a large piece of land for their operation.
