The Overpowered Billionaire’s System: Unlimited Money to Plunder

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Infiltrating the Shadows

The Black Lotus Corporation wasn't just any organization—it was a monster lurking in the shadows, a network of power brokers, assassins, and clandestine researchers who thrived on secrecy. If I wanted to dismantle them and plunder their resources, I needed to tread carefully.

"System," I said as I poured over the holographic map projected in my office. "How do I find a crack in their fortress?"

> Host, the Black Lotus Corporation operates through a series of proxies and shell companies. However, their primary operations revolve around an energy research facility in the Arctic Circle. Initial scans reveal a heavily fortified base with advanced security measures. To breach their defenses, the Host must first obtain access codes and insider knowledge.

I smirked, leaning back in my chair. "And I'm guessing you already have an idea about how to do that?"

> Correct. The Black Lotus Corporation's lead scientist, Dr. Eleanor White, has shown dissatisfaction with the organization's methods. She is the key to infiltration. Locate her and convince her to cooperate.

"And how do I find her?"

> Dr. White will be attending a tech symposium in Hong Kong tomorrow evening under heavy security. Leverage the event to establish contact.

"Understood," I said, already thinking ahead. "Let's crash their little party."

The next evening, the Hong Kong skyline glittered as I stepped out of a sleek black car, dressed to kill in a custom-tailored suit. The tech symposium was being held at a luxurious hotel, and the entrance was buzzing with activity. CEOs, researchers, and journalists mingled under the grand chandeliers, unaware of the predator that had just entered their midst.

"System," I murmured under my breath as I walked through the crowd, "locate Dr. Eleanor White."

> Target identified. She is on the second floor, speaking with a representative from Quantum Dynamics.

My eyes darted to the staircase. A pair of security guards flanked the entrance to the second floor, their stances casual but alert. I needed a distraction.

As if on cue, the System chimed in.

> Host, the representative from Quantum Dynamics is an old rival of Dr. White. Leverage their history to create tension and lure her away.

I smirked. "Perfect. Let's see how easily she takes the bait."

Five minutes later, I was standing next to the Quantum Dynamics representative, a middle-aged man with a smug grin and an overly firm handshake. It didn't take long to prod him into discussing his history with Dr. White.

"She's brilliant, sure," he said, sipping his whiskey. "But she's always been too idealistic. Doesn't have the stomach for what we do."

"Really?" I said, feigning interest. "What happened between you two?"

He chuckled. "Oh, she quit on us after a little disagreement about ethics. Typical scientist—too emotional."

I raised an eyebrow. "Fascinating. You should tell her that."

I nodded toward the second floor, where Dr. White had just stepped out of a conference room. Her eyes locked onto the representative, and her expression immediately hardened.

The bait was set.

Moments later, Dr. White stormed down the stairs, her face a mix of anger and disdain. She cornered the representative, her voice low but laced with venom.

"What the hell are you doing here, Mark?" she hissed.

I watched from a distance, waiting for the perfect moment. As their argument escalated, I stepped in.

"Excuse me," I said smoothly, placing a gentle hand on Dr. White's shoulder. "I couldn't help but overhear. Dr. Eleanor White, correct?"

She turned to me, her sharp gaze softening slightly as she took in my polished appearance. "And you are?"

"Lin Feng," I said, offering a charming smile. "I'm a... problem solver of sorts. And I believe we have a mutual enemy."

Her eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"

"I mean the Black Lotus Corporation," I said, my tone dropping. "I know what they've done, and I know you're not happy with them. I'm here to help."

She hesitated, glancing around to ensure no one was listening. "You shouldn't be talking about this here."

"Then let's talk somewhere else," I said. "I have a proposal that I think you'll find very interesting."

An hour later, we were sitting in a private lounge on the top floor of the hotel. Dr. White listened intently as I laid out my plan to dismantle the Black Lotus Corporation.

"You're insane," she said finally, shaking her head. "Do you have any idea what you're up against?"

"I do," I said confidently. "But I also know their weaknesses. And with your help, I can exploit them."

She stared at me for a long moment before finally nodding. "Fine. I'll help you. But if we're doing this, we do it my way. No unnecessary risks."

"Agreed," I said, extending my hand.

She shook it, and for the first time, I saw a flicker of determination in her eyes.

The System chimed in as we finalized our plan.

> Host, this alliance is critical to success. Dr. White's knowledge of the Black Lotus Corporation will provide the leverage needed to secure their resources.

I smiled to myself, the thrill of the game coursing through me.

This was just the beginning. The Black Lotus Corporation didn't know it yet, but their days were numbered. And with their resources in my hands, the path to interdimensional conquest would be wide open.
