Chapter 4: Chapter 4: "My" First day at School!

"Osh Swejdt!" Brushing my teeth, the beautiful purple-translucent screen of the system greeted me. That put me at $2,000 (312,910 JPY) total in my own money, which I could do anything with. For a high schooler—specifically a freshman—in Japan, this was a LOT of money to have!
So every Monday was the start of a new week. Noted. I finished brushing my teeth and went to grab my phone off the charger. Amane originally didn't have many friends, and any social media he had was barely used, so there wasn't much on my phone except family and the one friend he had.
"06:30?" I sighed in boredom. I guess I'll go out for a run! I had an hour and a half until I needed to be at school. All my homework and assignments were done, and the games I had weren't calling to me, so it was best to do something productive!
The only problem... Amane didn't have any workout clothes, so I'd have to buy some.
"Shop."

"Workout clothes."

"Hmm. I liked Nike in my other world, and since the shop has it, I'll take it!"

"Thanks." I moved to the living room, and a Nike bag was neatly placed on my coffee table. I pulled out the items, which consisted of a light black-grey jacket with matching shorts, along with running shoes in the same color scheme. Everything fit perfectly, which was a little weird considering I hadn't been asked for a size. Looks like the system handles that for me—saves me a great deal of time and effort!
After finishing getting ready, I walked out of my apartment, locked the door, and began my jog.
It was a little cold courtesy of the season, but once I warmed up, I wouldn't feel it anymore. The sun hadn't risen completely but was about to reveal itself in its glory, replacing the calming moon. The sky was cloudy but in the sunny-day kind of way, not the gloomy kind before rain. Everything was perfect!
I jogged around a few blocks, noting places of interest and cool spots to relax. There were way too many Starbucks, a surprising Nike store, expected cafes, and convenience stores like 7/11 and FamilyMart! There was even an arcade that looked massive, though it seemed to still be under construction.
All in all, it was a productive jog, especially since...
[Fitness Level 2 (5/50) → Fitness Level 2 (25/50)]
W progress! I should add basic workouts to my routine. A morning jog and a simple workout after school should suffice for now.
I got back home at 07:20, took a shower, and relaxed a little before putting on my school uniform and heading out by 7:45. I walked to school, taking everything in once more, and arrived by 08:05. The school building wasn't anything crazy but definitely had a modern and newer feel.
I walked into Class 1-A, and at first, I didn't notice any standout protagonist characters—ah. Never mind. Irido Mizuto and his stepsister/ex, Irido Yume, were there. I wasn't sure how their relationship stood right now, but seeing as Mizuto wasn't texting that female friend of his (I forgot her name), I assumed the relationship between the two siblings was still quite rough. Not that it was my business!
Mizuto and Yume were the only two that stood out. I'm not some encyclopedia of anime knowledge, so if there was anyone else, I had no idea. Mizuto looked pretty similar to me, but my face was sharper, and I was taller—not that it mattered.
"Yo! Amane!" Akazawa itsuki, Amane's—now my—only friend, greeted me. His light brown hair was neatly styled, and his brown eyes radiated confidence. That's what separated him from most of the students here. He was extremely confident, plus he actually had a girlfriend who was great at irking Amane. I was taller than him, but he was more fit and really rocked the lean-but-not-frail look!
"What's going on, Itsuki?" I gave him a casual, stoic greeting but laced it with a smile. Not something the original Amane would do. My plan was to change people's perception of me, but I couldn't come out and act like a completely different person; otherwise, I'd deal with a lot of unnecessary trouble.
"Oh? What's this~? Is my Amane finally coming out of his shell?"
"Shut it."
"Aww man. Here I thought a new Amane had been birthed—GUAH?!"
I may or may not have reflexively punched him in the gut.
"Ah, my utmost forgiveness, I'm so strong..."
"N-No way! Y-You're actually not acting like some tsundere... Where is my tsun-Amane?! What have you done?!" Itsuki playfully shook my body, and our theatrics had garnered a little audience, mostly because of Itsuki. Again, he was a popular dude. I didn't care about that since he was my friend, but facts were facts!
"N-Nothing! Stop shaking me." I was actually getting lightheaded. He thankfully stopped, and we both took our seats. I sat in the back near the window, and he sat one seat in front of me. He turned his body around to face me, scrutinizing me up and down.
I looked at him strangely. "Yes?"
He shrugged. "Nothing, it's just you weren't here Friday, and I didn't get a text message or anything. I assumed you were busy, so I didn't bother you, but I'm curious!"
"Oh. I was at home, slipped, and hit my head on the sharp end of a counter. No serious injuries, just hurt like hell, and I wanted the day off."
"Pfft! Hahaha! That's why you have to keep your place clean, man."
"Yeah, yeah. I cleaned up and am maintaining the status quo."
"Do you know how sad you sound? I would kill to have my own place. You know how my dad is, especially with Chitose."
"Dang, he still hasn't loosened up?"
"Nah, man. It's gotten to the point where I'm spending more time at her place, but I'm starting to feel like a nuisance to her parents."
"I'm sure you know they don't really care."
"Yeah, but it doesn't make it right in my eyes."
"Fair. How about this, man... This weekend, stop by. I'll grace you with a place to stay. Only for this weekend, though!"
"Seriously?!" He suddenly grabbed my hands, placing them in his. I didn't flinch but just nodded my head. His next words, though...
"Let's get married!"
Bam!
I lightly slammed his head on my desk. Seriously... why the hell would you say that out loud?!
