Chapter 64: Chapter 64: The Threat from Sheng Tian Sect
"Attack you together?" Hearing Lin Qian's request, Ding Zhirong and the others all looked at him with a mix of confusion and disbelief. Even Qin Wushuang and Lei Heng were surprised, thinking Lin Qian might be overconfident.
Ding Zhirong, Zhao Haiming, Li Letian, and Wang Lanxin were among the strongest Inner Sect disciples of Wanxiang Sect. Even though Lin Qian was strong, taking on all four of them at once wouldn't be easy, would it?
Only Wei Wushuang and Lei Qian remained unfazed, knowing just how terrifying Lin Qian's true strength was.
"Are you sure you want to fight all four of us at once?" Li Letian asked with a puzzled look.
Lin Qian nodded confidently. "Don't worry, just come at me with everything you've got."
The four exchanged glances, then retreated a few steps, letting their soul power surge around them as they prepared for battle. Their core components and weapons materialized, and they activated their martial equipment.
Meanwhile, Lin Qian observed them carefully. Ding Zhirong's soul power had a metal attribute, and his martial equipment was a spear. Zhao Haiming had earth-based soul power, wielding a heavy sword. Li Letian and Wang Lanxin both had wind-based soul power, and their martial equipment consisted of slender swords, remarkably similar to each other.
With a thunderous boom, Lin Qian's soul power erupted, covered in crimson lightning that radiated a domineering aura. He gestured for them to come at him, inviting their attack.
Ding Zhirong was the first to charge, his spear tip gleaming with a golden glow as it pierced the air toward Lin Qian's face at lightning speed. As soon as Ding Zhirong moved, Zhao Haiming followed closely behind, swinging his heavy sword horizontally toward Lin Qian's waist.
Despite the combined assault, Lin Qian remained calm. His hands, covered in lightning soul power, reached out. His left hand bypassed the spearhead and grabbed the shaft, while his right hand caught the blade of the heavy sword. With a swift pull, both weapons were yanked from their wielders' control.
Ding Zhirong and Zhao Haiming were both stunned as a massive force pulled them forward. Unable to resist, they stumbled helplessly toward Lin Qian.
With a sharp gaze, Lin Qian's arms tensed, and he threw them backward with incredible strength, sending both Ding Zhirong and Zhao Haiming flying.
A split second later, Lin Qian vanished from his original position, reappearing in front of Li Letian. He delivered a powerful knee strike to Li Letian's abdomen, causing him to double over in pain and be sent crashing into Wang Lanxin, who had barely registered what had happened.
"You're holding back your soul power. Are you trying to test me?" Lin Qian shook his head disapprovingly as he watched the four of them struggle to get up. "Don't use any soul skills—just rely on your raw soul power and physical strength. Give it everything you've got."
The four disciples exchanged serious looks, realizing they couldn't afford to hold back. With a shout, Ding Zhirong led the charge again, and the others followed suit, unleashing their full power.
In just a few moments, Ding Zhirong was sent flying by a kick from Lin Qian, crashing into Zhao Haiming. Li Letian and Wang Lanxin, who had attempted to flank him, were both punched squarely in the face, forcing them to retreat with blood trickling from their noses.
"Is that all you've got? Keep going!" Lin Qian frowned, clearly dissatisfied with their performance.
Lin Qian's words seemed to ignite a fire in them, and they rushed at him once more. But the result was the same: Lin Qian effortlessly handled their combined assault with overwhelming strength, sending them sprawling time and time again.
"Is this how you trained with Lin Qian on Mount Maoqing?" Lei Heng asked in shock as he watched the one-sided beatdown.
"Yes, but back then, Boss was even harsher. Even when I was down, he'd come over and give me a good kick. Those four are lucky," Lei Qian said with a mix of amusement and nostalgia.
Watching Ding Zhirong and the others struggle against Lin Qian, Lei Qian couldn't help but recall his own early days under Lin Qian's tutelage.
"I see why you came home covered in bruises every day," Lei Heng muttered. "But Lin Qian's battle experience is shockingly refined, as if he's been through countless battles!"
Qin Wushuang was equally astonished. "I thought his combat skills were honed by you, Senior Brother."
Wei Wushuang shook his head. "No, when I first taught Lin Qian, I realized that he was already a seasoned fighter. His combat style was strange, though—almost out of place in this world. But over time, he integrated his strange battle tactics with the techniques I taught him."
Qin Wushuang and Lei Heng exchanged incredulous looks, amazed by Lin Qian's natural aptitude for combat. They didn't know that in his previous life, Lin Qian had spent countless hours in a fantasy war game, engaging in everything from large-scale battles to individual ranked matches.
As the fight came to an end, Ding Zhirong and the others lay sprawled on the ground, unable to get up. Meanwhile, Lin Qian stood at the center, barely winded, his soul power dissipating as he smiled.
At that moment, Qin Wushuang suddenly spoke. "Sheng Tian Sect has demanded that Wanxiang Sect forfeit our spots in the Ancient Relic and give them to Sheng Tian Sect instead. If we refuse, they've threatened that none of our disciples will return alive."
"If we give up the spots, it would be a huge blow to Wanxiang Sect's reputation. But if we don't, Sheng Tian Sect's disciples, who are unfathomably strong, could pose a serious threat to your lives. On the other hand, sending weaker disciples would only invite ridicule from all of Linhai Prefecture."
"Lin Qian, I'm putting everything on you this time," Qin Wushuang said, his tone solemn as he looked at Lin Qian.
Lin Qian smiled calmly. "Uncle, I have a suggestion!"
