chapter 12
12 – Forms of Love (1)
Arriving at the village, we each moved to do what we wanted to do, regardless of who said it first. Lena took the sleeping bag out of her bag and ran up to the room, while Ashuria rummaged through the luggage bag and pulled out a small bag. The contented smile felt more sullen than usual, so I looked at Millet, avoiding her gaze.
Miele pointed to the salad on the inn menu and said.
“I want to eat here!”
Ashuria smirked and wrapped the warrior’s arm and dragged him outside. I sat across from Miele and ordered the same salad.
“You worked hard this time too. Millet.”
“yes? no! Killing demons is a good thing. I think it’s something you should do as an elf.”
“Aren’t you too tired or too tired from the trip? I heard that elves can’t travel long distances.”
Millet widened her eyes at my words and shook her head with a smile. When she wasn’t killing people or hunting game, Millet was a very nice woman. I hoped that the man who would take her was also a good person.
“yes? Why not? that must be wrong It’s not that elves can’t travel long distances. People around me can’t stand elves enough to travel long distances.”
“I’ve never met any other elves besides Millet, so I’m not sure. Are the other elves a little different from Millet?”
Hearing my question, Miele nodded. She was still smiling, and salad bowls rolled between us like a tide. There were several pieces of very dry meat on top of the leaves, which were only roughly soiled, but Millet bit off the leaves and said,
“Have you ever heard that all elves are crazy?”
I was chewing on a stinky leaf and couldn’t respond to the prompting question, so I coughed. When she gulped down her glass of water and looked at Millet again, Miele also narrowed her brow slightly as she was looking at the salad bowl.
“I’d be lying if I said I’d never heard of it. I have heard a lot.”
“It is as you say.”
Millet said so in a calm tone. I was a little taken aback by Millet’s comment and spoke cautiously.
“It’s not good to be too self-deprecating.”
“yes? Aren’t you insulting? Really. Elves are innately incapable of empathizing with others. It’s a species that lives a long time, but if you share a lot of emotions with others, it’s hard to live, so it seems that you’re born with emotions castrated. That’s why elves usually live together only with elves.”
Millet was a very nice elf, but this salad seemed unforgivable. As she poked at the salad with her fork, she glanced at the kitchen before turning her head again.
“But isn’t Millet so emotional?”
“yes. I was an outlier even among elves. In the liberal arts class where I read human literature, I cried alone because the content was so sad.”
“To make Miss Millet cry, it must have been very sad.”
“yes. right. It was a very sad story. I still remember. It was a story about a man and a girl who promised to pick flowers, but it ended when the man was killed by a bandit while carrying the flower, and the woman turned to stone while waiting for the man.”
It was a tragic story. Millet sniffled and gasped for breath as if her heart was breaking just from talking about it. I said.
“How is your trip now? There must be some basic cultural differences between elves and humans, aren’t you uncomfortable?”
Wiping her tears with the hem of her dress, she shook her head and said,
“yes? are you okay. All of my party members seem to have the same personality as me, so I rather like it. I hope we continue to travel together!”
The word that I have a similar disposition to Millet made me laugh out loud. I giggled and nodded.
“I also want to continue touring. It’s touching that Millet felt the same way.”
Millet smiled brightly and nodded.
“lol. It’s the first time I’ve been open like this. Actually, this is my first trip.”
“Is that so? The way he has been active so far has been a veteran among veterans.”
“You could say it’s experience and age. I was the number one hunter in the elven forest. Was I that cool?”
“He was better than any archer I’ve ever seen in the Empire.”
“right?”
“Yes.”
We laughed brightly like an elderly couple over a dry, tasteless salad, then looked at the kitchen without asking anyone first.
The old yawning chef nodded when he saw us cast his gaze.
“What are you looking at?”
Before I could say anything, the salad bowl grazed my shoulder and flew toward the kitchen. It passed between the armpits of the chef who was leaning on the kitchen shelf blankly and crashed into the kitchen wall with a heavy rupture sound.
The chef inadvertently turned his head away, and his face turned white when he realized that he had almost died. I looked at Millet with a smile once again, and Millet smiled broadly as if in response to my smile and said,
“The salad doesn’t taste good.”

Ashuria.
As a member of the church, she was always a woman who judged the wicked and prayed according to God’s will.
“Warrior. Let me tell you a story told in the scriptures.”
“Uh, um. Okay.”
The hero and Ashuria were alone in a dark room. Sunlight was shining on Ashuria like a spotlight from the hole in the roof, and the hero stood awkwardly in a round room with no place to sit.
The hero recalled his impression that this room looked like a bell.
“Once upon a time. A man died and went to the underworld. When I went to the underworld, there was a very high ladder, and an angel guarded the ladder. the man asked. ‘What is this ladder?’ Then the angel replied: ‘It’s a ladder to heaven. Use the chalk here to record your sins on each rung of the ladder as you progress. The lesser the sin, the shorter the ladder.’”
Asura continued speaking, she took out the pouch she had brought with her. It seemed a little heavy compared to the one bought at the market, but she thought that her sins made even this weight feel heavy.
“So the man climbed the ladder. He was a man who thought he had lived his life without committing any crime, but no matter how many times he climbed up the ladder, his sins were endless. how much did it rise The man found an adult descending a ladder on the other side. The man exclaimed in excitement. ‘You’re an adult! Are you coming down from Heaven to save people?’”
Ashria pulled a rope from her pocket. It was a much rougher and heavier rope than the one he had bought, and there were no handcuffs. Ashuria tilted her head, but she couldn’t back down now. She hooked the rope towards the hanging loop and skillfully tied the rope to form a pair of handcuffs.
Then, he put his wrist through the gap, pulled the end with his mouth, and pulled tight.
“Ashuria?”
The hero did not understand the meaning of Ashuria’s act of binding him. Ashuria did not answer the hero’s question and asked back.
“Warrior. So do you know what the saint answered?”
The warrior was a sukmaek, but he was not an idiot. I knew at least that this situation was going something strange. The hero shook his head awkwardly and said.
“That, well?”
Ashria laughed and said.
“I’m running out of chalk, so I’m going to get more.”
“hahahaha… … . under?”
The hero laughed at Ashuria’s joke. It was because I didn’t know if this was meant to be a joke. Ashuria confirmed that her arms were tightly bound and pushed the pouch onto the warrior with her foot.
“In this story, we learn that everyone commits sins in life and that sins accumulate without us noticing them. The old saints and great people lived their lives repenting of their sins. It is natural for me, who is lower than them, to need the harsh path of atonement that they could not walk.”
“Ashuria. I don’t have to put you down like that. So… … .”
Ashria shook her head. The hero glanced at his pockets, and Ashuria revealed her thighs seductively through the hem of her skirt.
“Warrior. It’s not someone else, but the hero, so I can ask for it. As a religious person, I cannot allow people with sinister and evil desires to hurt my body. However, asceticism is an act that must be undergone as a religious person. warrior. If a faithful and righteous warrior would help me in my penance, I would have nothing more to ask for.”
“Go, penance… … .”
Ashuria gasped for breath, her face dyed red. She was barely restraining herself, but the very fact of making atonement with the hero was exciting her.
The warm sunlight enveloped her like a blessing from God. Ashria spoke in the bright light.
“Warrior. Please take out the items there and use them on me.”
A scented candle and a specially purchased beginner’s whip. A sound gag that stops screaming.
These were products prepared with great care for warriors who are not yet accustomed to this kind of play.
pain is love Love was the form of atonement, and it was faith.
Therefore, the hero’s act of inflicting pain on himself was both love and faith.
Ashuria trembled, anticipating the violent love that would come to her.
“Ashuria. I don’t want to cause pain to my party mates. This… … .”
The warrior hesitantly said. Ashuria spoke in a stronger tone whenever the hero showed disapproval.
“Warrior. Please give me a chance to atone. Didn’t you say that you would do anything for your colleagues? For me, that time is now.”
The hero had nothing to say about her logic.
“Ha, but…”
Moisture grazed his hesitant eyes. Even in that appearance, Ashuria was lovely.
“it’s okay. warrior. I have prepared something for beginners, so please open your bag quickly.”
The hero was weak at the request. I couldn’t refuse when my colleague said he wanted it.
“Oh, I see. Ashuria. That… No, I’ll try.”
The hero stretched out his hand to the floor as if he couldn’t help it, and Ashuria looked at the hero with a face full of anticipation.
The sound of breathing clearly resonated, and the hero carefully opened the pouch and looked at Ashuria again.
“Hey, do you want me to use this?”
“it’s okay. It is something that is lit and used.”
The hero carefully opened the bag and took out the contents.

Needle.
Countless needles glistened in the sunlight.
On the outside, it looked like a weaving needle, but if you look closely, it has grooves in the shape of reverse hooks, so if you poke the flesh once, the flesh will be torn off. Looking at the pain-optimized form, Ashuria shook her head and murmured.
“I didn’t buy this… … .”
The hero was surprised to see the detailed shape of the needle, and dropped the entire bag in fright at the hardcore method of atonement for stabbing Ashuria with the needle. Needles rolled on the floor and Ashuria floated in the air like a saint’s shroud.
The warrior shook his head and said.
“I’m sorry, Ashria. wow, i can’t either Injuring a colleague Me, I can’t do that.”
“Yo, warrior! No, it doesn’t hurt! And it’s not something I prepared for! Oh, I think you misunderstood! Well, I don’t need a needle like that, just hit me with a whip… … !”
“Oh, no, it’s okay! I’m sorry, Ashria! Ah, I think it’s still too early for me!”
The hero screamed and ran out of the room.
The sound of the door closing was heard, and only Ashria remained in the room.
Ironically, the clouds that came just in time blocked the sunlight, and a heavy darkness filled the room.
Ashuria, who was hanging in the air, let out a deep sigh and untied the rope herself and came down.
Unsure why the bag had been changed, she scratched her head and clicked her tongue.
