The Price of Divinity

Chapter 9: Note

Nala arrives outside to see many of the Atlas soldiers on the ground and once green grass covered red. The scene terrified Nala, but her determination allows her to continue forward and, true to her nature, solve the problem without anyone getting injured.

"Please stop this madness!!! Sir, what do you want to do?" Everyone stared at Nala due to her screams and beauty.

"Nala, what are you doing? Are you going to negotiate with that subhuman filth?" her father, running behind her, screamed just before collapsing due to his poor health.

Boom!!

Nala saw the head of her father land below her feet. Nala just saw the head, her mind spiraling out of control. The soldiers of Atlas were the ones to kill her father.

"It was you; you made all of this happen. My colleagues died to satiate your sadistic hunger. Serve you right. One of the magicians used his threads to cleanly cut the head.

Nala is there without moving; everything she once believed is now gone. Her father, who she loves, is a monster, but she still has love for him. The people that his community hated have gone through unimaginable suffering due to their sadistic tendencies. The love of power overruled their mental capacities.

Tears started flowing out; everything was stuck in time. No one said anything; no one moved; it was all quiet. The peasants managed to fight against the rich. The rich managed to kill many of them and remain safe.

Nala stood in the middle of everything, staring at her deceased father's eyes. Someone decided to break the silence.

"Haha, serves him right for the unfair judgment of our people. You, no matter how beautiful you are, you're still a disappointment to the human race." One of the peasants started mocking Nala.

"Note"

The next second the head of the man stood on the head of Nala. No one saw the attack. Nala stayed in her position; the only evidence of her moving was the head of a man with blood covered on her hands.

Everyone started to get into a fighting stance to eliminate the threat of Nala. Every person in a 100-meter radius had their hands cut in an instant. Nala speed blitzes everyone and everything.

The grunting and screams of pain ran through her ears. All the people saw was the symbol of a melody. Note hanging above Nala. An eighth note is above Nala. Her entire body is surrounded by a lavender eighth note; pupils became the shape of an eighth note. Nala's luscious blond curls became pure white with strands of lavender while still maintaining her curls.

"What type of monster are you?" The man blessed by sunrise, holding his injured hand, asked Nala.

Nala looked at the man and then the rest of the people in shock, scared all toward her. She begins walking towards the man. Leaving a path of eight notes everywhere she stepped. The once-trail covered in blood is now painted with lavender and eighth notes.

"I am here to settle this suffering. Either you continue fighting and die, or you surrender and let me take over with the negotiations." Nala stares at the man now on his knees with strands of her white hair on his face.

"Yes, I and my troops will surrender and just calm down." the man said as fast as he could to not die, he felt the difference of strength too much for him to even compete.

"Very good, now let's go inside and create a new world where everyone is happy. Isn't that what you want?" Nala smiled as her natural self.

Nala gets out of the man's face and starts walking back to the mansion while the man is walking behind her like a scared dog.

"Here, eat it," Nala said before anyone realized it. She steals the heart of the man that killed her father and gives it to the man.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

"I can't eat it; I am not a cannibal. Please, let's get to the negotiating." The man petrified tried his best to try to talk in a calm and soothing tone to not alarm Nala.

"Very good, now let's begin." Nala leaves the heart on the ground and walks inside, and the man follows the pathway she creates.

"Everyone come out!!! Come here and explain yourself," Nala screamed for all the rich people to face her.

Everyone comes out thinking everything is going to be alright, and Nala manages to put down the rebellion. Quietly they all start descending towards the first floor. Their grins of joy were quickly turned upside down at how much Nala had changed and the man standing beside her.

"Nala, what are you doing?! Kill that man already; he is a monster. You know that your father taught you well. Now be a good girl and kill him!" Sir Loro, still maintaining his high horse, ordered Nala.

All of the guards started to walk away cautiously after feeling the power of Nala. The rest didn't have the capacity to see blessings.

Everyone blinked and saw Nala carrying the lungs of someone. Everyone instinctively looked at Sir Loro. He started at his chest and started gasping for air. Collapsing into the ground, staining the expensive carpet with his blood.

"Now is anyone in here that is not me the one who decides what will happen?" Nala, still having Sir Loro's lungs, looks at everyone to see if anyone objects to her claims.

No one objected to her; no one dared to even move a muscle. They were all petrified at how a beauty that looked so soft became such a powerful person.

They all walked to the third floor to start the meeting. Everyone maintains their distance in the pathway she creates.
