The Rise of Victoria Seras

Chapter 42: 42. Treasures of Lima.

Chapter 42

As soon as the knights left, I headed to Integra's office, upon arriving, I noticed that Integrara was sitting in her chair, not paying attention to anything.

- Inti? - I called in a soft tone.

However, Integra didn't react. This really made me worry, but before I could say or do anything else, Alucard's voice rang out in the room.

"The great Hellsing family has been reduced to rubble, leaving only a few pathetic soldiers. How fun!" Alucard said mockingly.

- Alucard? - Integra muttered.

"Is that all it takes to drive Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing to despair? A few destroyed walls and a few dead soldiers? How ridiculous!" the vampire said mockingly, appearing right in front of Integra.

Understanding why he was doing this, I stepped aside without interfering.

- Shut up! You have no idea what I feel! - Integra shouted, making me wince a little, after all, in the heat of the moment she clearly doesn't realize what nonsense she just said. Which showed on Alucard's face, which after a small smile showed anger.

- I have no idea what you feel? Do you even know how many thousands of people I've lost in battle?! I've lost more in a month than you'll ever see in your life!

- That's different! There was a war then! - Integra tried to justify herself.

- You think you're not fighting a war right now? The enemy just stormed your castle and killed all your soldiers. You need to stand up and fight back!

- What?! I can't take any more soldiers from the army, and if I lose the title the Hellsing family will be destroyed. - Integra screamed, becoming quieter and quieter until she finally whispered.

- Life is a constant war! Every day is a battle that could be your last! The fact that you lost once does not give you the right to give up! Stand and fight back! Or the great Integra Hellsing is just a little whining child. - Alucard literally screamed.

Integra flinched at such words as if she had been slapped, until Alucard smiled so that she wouldn't notice.

-…don't you dare talk to me like that. – Integra said quietly.

- What? - Alucard asked again as if he hadn't heard.

- I said, don't you dare talk to me like that! I am your mistress, and you are my servant! - Integra screamed, slamming the table, full of anger.

- Good! Very good! This is the Integra I know. This is the master I serve! - Alucard laughed happily.

- Shut up! Now get out of my sight! I have work to do. - She yelled, pushing Alucard out of the Office, slamming the door behind him.

After waiting for her to sit down in her chair and light a cigar, I realized that I would have to miss the moment of consolation and decided to make an offer that would allow me to at least make amends for my guilt a little.

- Sir…

- Integra, - Integra interrupted me, - there is no need for these sirs when we are alone.

- Then Inti, what if I told you that I could get several dozen tons of jewelry within 24 hours, along with a cast gold statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a baby in her arms - that would help solve all the problems? - I asked, feigning innocence and shuffling my feet.

- ... I'm sorry, Seras, what did you say? - Integra asked, frozen for a moment.

- Dozens of tons of jewelry, among which the stat…

- Stop. Wait. - Integra stopped me. - You mean you can get it within 24 hours? How?

- Well, it just so happens that I know where Lima's treasures are and it's not just a tip to Cocos Island, but the exact location, and thanks to my abilities, I'm sure that I can deliver them to the mansion by tomorrow morning.

"Seras, this is a bad time for jokes," Integra warned me.

- This is not a joke. Inti, if you want, then for your sake I will set off right now. - I answered with tenderness in my voice.

"I... if you're telling the truth, that would completely change the situation," Integra said, a little excitedly, before adding with flushed cheeks, "If you succeed, then... then I don't think I'd mind rewarding you in a special way."

- Then I dare not linger. - With a wide smile, I immediately teleported out of the office.

As soon as I left, Walter entered the office with a tray full of snacks and a pot of tea.

"I've made you some tea, sir. It will help you stay awake," he said, filling a cup with tea.

- Thank you, Walter. You always help me. - Integra said with a smile, sipping her tea.

- Of course sir, but you will have to reward Miss Seras alone.

- Pffff, Cough-cough. - Integra spat out all the tea she had just drunk and started coughing.

- Have a good night, Sir. - Walter hurried out of the office, but as soon as he closed the door, the old man's laughter began to echo from the corridor.

"Damn it, Walter," Integra cursed with a heavy sigh.

***

Costa Rica. Puntarenas.

Depths of Cocos Island.

"It's no wonder that no one has found this treasure yet," I said, standing in a cave almost 800 meters underground, with no visible exit.

- And how did they manage to drag all this here? - I looked in admiration at the treasures in front of me.

Gold bars, diamond-studded crucifixes, rusty sabres with hilts glittering with precious stones, heavy platinum bracelets with rubies and emeralds, huge gold vessels, tarnished pearl necklaces, and various gold and silver utensils with a light patina. And of course, one of the most important treasures that managed to avoid the appearance of patina, a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary cast in pure gold. The Vatican will probably explode when it learns that such a statue fell into the hands of the Protestants.

- He-he, I wish I could see Maxwell's face twist when he finds out that we were the ones who found this treasure. - With an anticipatory smile, I began to collect all these treasures into my inventory. Even if the statue and all the gold utensils would most likely go to the queen as a gift, the ingots alone should be enough to support the organization's work.

- A special reward from Integra, I can't wait, nya! - I exclaimed, fantasizing about what awaited me.
