The Rise of Victoria Seras

Chapter 9: 9. First training.

Chapter 9

The next day at 8am, Walter walked into Seras and Alucard's room to wake the girl up for the first day of training. Seeing that Seras was sleeping with the Hound of Baskerville in bed and Alucard was not there, Walter hesitated to take the risk, but after a few seconds of thought, he decided to try to wake the girl up without hitting the dog.

"Seras? Miss Victoria? Please wake up, it's time for you to get ready for training." Walter said, shaking the girl's body slightly.

"Mmmmm... Walter? What time is it?" I ask sleepily.

"It's 8am, Seras. It's time for you to wake up."

"It's too early, I literally fell asleep a couple of hours ago. Why do I even need to train during the day?"

"Because those who will be training you work during daylight hours. So stop complaining and get up. We can't have a Hellsing agent late on her first day! - Walter said, roughly ripping off the blanket.

As soon as he did, he immediately realized how big a mistake it was, because it woke up the Hound of Baskerville. Who, having woken up, immediately pounced with the expectation of biting Walter's head.

- Basky! Come back! - I immediately screamed.

Hearing me, the dog stopped right in the air, and then returned to his cute form, starting to rub his head against me, as if asking for forgiveness.

- Don't bite him! It's Walter, he's cute! - I said lovingly rubbing the dog's head.

- I'm so sorry, Walter. - I apologized for Basky.

- It's okay, Seras, thank you for stopping him. - Walter said with a sigh.

- Please, Walter, it won't happen again, I promise.

As soon as Walter left, Alucard emerged from the wall and sat silently on his throne, drinking.

- Master, why did you hide from Walter?

- Hm? Well, I just hate it when I'm bothered by how you wake up, police girl. It's definitely an ugly sight.

- What!? Hm! Oh well.

20 minutes later, I was out fully dressed and ready to go.

"God, I never realized how short this skirt was."

- Walter? Why is the skirt of my uniform so short?

- I'm so sorry, Seras, that was Sir Integra's order. I think you know to follow it.

- Do you think she'll let me have a longer uniform or change the skirt to pants? - I asked hopefully.

- Probably not! She was very adamant about the length of the skirt during her alteration. In any case, it's time to meet the one who will be your instructor in the near future.

- But why!? - I exclaimed indignantly, and then a thought struck me. - Is this punishment for that laying recruit? I knew he should have been castrated.

Not paying attention to my tirade, Walter began to walk, thereby forcing me to follow him.

A few minutes later, we arrived at the training ground next to the Hellsing estate. As we walked, all the soldiers kept turning around to look at us, or to be more precise, at me, while whispering to each other.

- Isn't that the girl...

- Yes? She killed one of the recruits, right?

- What? I heard she tortured him to death!

- Do you really think I can't hear you? - I screamed, receiving angry looks in response. - Besides, that parody of a man is alive, in the future he will at least think a few times before insulting someone.

- Enough! Officer Seras Victoria! - I heard a man shout.

- Yes sir! - I saluted.

- This will be our newest member, her name is Seras Victoria. - the man introduced me.

- Captain, how can you expect us to work with a man who almost killed John!? - one of the soldiers asked.

- I expect this because you are soldiers! Is that clear!?

- Yes sir! - a chorus of voices answered the man.

- I'm very sorry, Miss Victoria.

- It's okay! I think I understand the reason for their behavior, and besides, it is also my fault. I'm very sorry.

- Anyway, my name is Peter Fargoson, you may call me Captain.

- Okay, Captain!

- So, officer, we will teach you how to handle weapons and tactics. Understood?

- Yes sir.

- I heard you have some experience with weapons. Tell me what training you had?

- I have mastered every weapon available to the regular police force.

- We'll see.

- Arthur! Give Officer Victoria a Heckler & Koch Mark 23 pistol.

- Yes sir. - Arthur said, taking the pistol out of its holster and tossing it to me with obvious disdain.

- Thank you, Arthur. - I said with the same smile that I wore when I broke John's bones.

- Eh? You're welcome? - he replied with excitement.

- Good! Now I want you to shoot that target. - The captain said, pointing to the right.

However, when the soldiers looked to the right, they saw no target.

- You mean the one under that tree? - I asked while the soldiers were whispering in confusion.

- Yes.

"It seems easy, I mean it's pretty close, right?" I said.

- What do you mean close! I can't even see it! - one of the soldiers shouted, angry for some reason. It's strange, I seem to be in England, and not in a Chinese novel.

- You really can't see it? - I asked doubtfully.

- Of course! It's about 300 meters from here. Your gun won't be able to shoot that far, the bullet will fall first.

As soon as the soldier finished speaking, he received a slap on the back of the head from the captain.

- Stop being so indisciplined, just shut up and watch!

- Excuse me, sir!

- Okay, Officer Victoria, I want you to empty the entire magazine into the target. I don't want to see any misses. Is that understood?

- Yes sir! - I said, taking my usual stance, while some of the soldiers took out their binoculars to see how I would fail.

Remembering a similar moment in the anime, I tried to tune in to use my vampire instincts to shoot, everything around me slowed down, and the target was incredibly clear, but even so, the first shot was a miss, not reaching the target.

"Hmm, what's wrong?" - After a while, I finally understood. - "Stance! This stance is used to prevent recoil from affecting the shot, but as a vampire, I don't need to worry about this, I should forget about aiming like a normal person."

While I was thinking, the soldiers were already starting to complain, thinking that I gave up, Arthur was about to scream, demanding his gun back. However, looking at me, he saw blood-red eyes looking into which it seemed as if you were looking into the very depths of hell. And I got out of the stance and holding the gun with one hand fired the remaining bullets. All 11 of them hit the target, 6 in the heart and 5 in the head.

- What!!! - the soldiers watching the target shouted, while I returned to normal.

- Did I do well, captain? - I asked confidently.

- Hm? You missed and still think you did well? I'm disappointed! You're dismissed for today, Officer Victoria! - the captain said before leaving.

As soon as the captain left, the soldiers immediately began to laugh.

- Hah, that's the end of the farce, she's just not cut out to be one of us. - one of them said.

While the soldiers began to leave, mocking me, I had to use all my strength to restrain myself and at least not yell at them, and at most not start a bloodbath. However, Arthur approached me with an awkward expression on his face.

- What do you want?

- Um... I just wanted to say that the shooting was very good, and I'm sorry. - Arthur apologized sincerely.

- Sorry? - I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

- I realized I was a total asshole when I gave you the gun and after asking around, I found out what really happened between you and John. I just wanted to apologize. - He said with a deep sigh.

- Hahahaha, it's okay. You had the courage to apologize, which not many people can do. I accept your apology Arthur. - I said with a gentle smile.

- Really?

- Yes! Now, I would appreciate it if you could tell me where the shooting range is. I have some pent-up aggression that I need to vent on something. - I said softly before letting a creepy smile appear on my face.

- O-okay. It's about 60 meters north, then turn left and you'll see a square building. It's a shooting range, all the ammo and guns are free to use. So don't worry about anything and shoot to your heart's content. Goodbye, Officer Victoria. - He said.

- Thanks and goodbye, Arthur! - I said as I left.

"Why am I so angry? I knew they wouldn't accept me after what happened to that human larva, but it still sucks."

Thinking about it, I reached the shooting range and opened the door to an empty room.

"I guess it's a good thing it's empty at the moment." I sighed before heading to the gun rack. It's funny, by the way, that vampires, although they have enhanced hearing, also have a much higher tolerance for loud noises than a normal human.

"What weapon should I choose? Walther PPK? Oh! What about the AK-47?"

Thinking about it, I saw a Heckler & Koch Mark 23 pistol lying there, and anger immediately boiled in my chest.

- Damn it! So it's just disappointment that I didn't shoot perfectly? That's what I feel?!

Without thinking twice, I picked up the gun and started shooting madly at targets at a maximum distance of 100 meters.

A few hours later, soldiers entered the building and the first thing they noticed was a girl surrounded by thousands of shell casings on the ground. However, when she noticed the door opening, she simply walked away leaving everything as it was.

- Hey! Aren't you even going to clean up your mess? - one of the soldiers shouted. To which he was simply shown the middle finger.

- What a bitch!

- Yeah, that's all she can do. Look, she didn't even hit the target, despite all the bullets she spent.

- Shut up and take a closer look, idiot! - Arthur shouted, pointing at the target.

When he said this, they all looked at the target again and noticed that the silhouette looked strange. One of the soldiers pressed a button and brought the target closer. When the target was close enough, all the soldiers' eyes widened and fear settled inside.

The silhouette on the target was literally cut out by bullet holes that were perfectly located next to each other, the silhouette was holding on to the very last part, that is, the top of the head.

"Look here! There are more!" one of the soldiers shouted.

When the others looked closer, they saw dozens of targets in a stack, which differed only in that their silhouettes were completely cut out.
