The Scientist of Monster Creation, forcefully Hired

5. The Training Begins

In Order to Properly create Monster, Chloe thought she has to train either organic or gear magic.
She decided to try on some tiny Lumps of Meat, some little bones wich she has in mass and Organs wich Look like from a singing bird.

She had an easier time than she imagined.
She first tried to will it into shape, which quickly got something unusable. It was like treating something as clay, which clearly isn’t clay.
The second try was at least in the right direction. With the hint from identify, that anatomical knowledge helps, she tried to stimulate and shift the cells. The result is something that looks like a Tumor parked with Cancer. Gross.

Wich made Chloe something aware of something again. She never was a person that so detached from the world. She finds out that Calm mind can help her to stay calm, but is that the feeling of detachment. With brought her to the thought of it would be fine for her to create Monster which would kill people, and it is.
No big mental trick or something. She is fine. She thought back if it would have been fine for her before the Wohle incident, and it would have been preferred to not do something like that. It’s gross and a she would have avoided it, but she can’t find herself faulting for it.
She thinks a part of it is that she strongly believes in responsibility, something honed because of all the struggle and chaos one has to experience because of inresponsible, like walking into class, announcing a mountain tour now, everyone goes and the principal had everything prepared, but not the money for lunch. And everyone like that could walk down a mountain which took from school begin to lunch hungry. F you Principle.

At least she believes such Experiences make something like that. Whoever goes into a dungeon and gets himself killed was either unlucky or stupid, and both is one’s own responsibility to manage.
After that she asks herself if she could create some kind of Dragon King Bahamut which could destroy Kingdoms for the Godddess of Darkness, and she thinks it’s fine. Even when she imagined it very graphic, she thinks of it as “only a kingdoms population”.

She seemingly can’t find out if she is a psychopath, sociopath or something along the line, or the Gods messed with her Mind.
She decided to continue train.

The third try was a test, if she has to make it as complicated as influencing cells. She began to move the tissues to move from the lump of flesh, which was much better. It looks weird, but because she made hadn’t any idea what to make.
Next she tries only moving cells. Not very successful. The flesh quivered a bit and nothing else. It was disgusting.
The last test on flesh is stimulation of the cells. The result? The cells don’t as any nourishment to multiply from, but they tried and most of the flash began to decay. Disgusting, but she knows at least she would need living subjects.

Now the test with bones. All of them are small, but varied. She recognises Hammer, Anvil and Stirrup, but the rest is mostly unknown.
Wish makes her question if every bone has bone marrow, and how to find out of every one has. She believes the three from before don’t any marrow, but she can’t be sure.
Something else is, if Bones are organic or organic enough for Organic Magic to work.
She first tries to just shape the bone, doesn’t matter of it useless after that. That’s why she prepared them.
The Answer is, that Bones can be shaped, but the surface wich got exposed trough the moving is rough. It’s also different than the Flesh.
The flesh was like a number of mindless robots following her orders. The Bone was like a Rock she had to move.
Not as hard as moving a rock, but she had to put will behind it and not some casual wanting of it.

For detection of Bone Marrow, she begins with with letting Mana travel in a line trough it, with some waves. After they live the Bone, they come back.
It’s probably not perfect, in terms of finesse, but it definitely causes a headache.
She seemingly made first try a very effective spell, since she has a 3D blueprint of the Bone in her head.
Not perfect, mind you, but definitely a useable blueprint. Said blueprint wich is beyond her mental capacity to use like that.

After laying down, she feels a bit better, and after a nap, most of her headache is gone.
As she goes back, she now roughly knows where the bone marrow is in the bone, and can imagine how to shape the bone and bone marrow to be still a bone with wich can function as a proper bone.
As she tries, it goes easier than before. She recalls what’s she learned from Identify about Organic Magic, and begins to understand why.
After that, it dawns her that she probably has to something like that more often.

The result is a former straight bone now curved, with a strange surface for a bone and a hopeful proper distributed marrow inside hothead bone.

She puts the Organs Away. She learned that she shouldn’t mess with them.

Than she had the funny thought to create her first monster with the Flesh, Bones and Organs she took, but the Flesh is Red Meat, and fowl meat is usually Withe Meat. Additional there I no skull and all the bones are short and stout, not thin and frail like the one or a bird.

She puts the thought away, she will have to try Monster Creation at a point, but not now. She opens her most important messages, which she muted for the test.

Congratulation! You levelled Intuitive Comprehension to Level 5!
Congratulation! You levelled Research to Level 5!
Congratulation! You levelled Mana Sense to Level 3!
Congratulation! You levelled Mana Manipulation to Level 3!
Congratulation! You managed to raise Organic Cantrip to Level 10!
Congratulation! Organic Cantrip evolved into Organic Magic!
Congratulation! For evolving your first Skill and Evolving a Magic skill, you receive Stats! +1 to all Stats, +1 to intelligence and Wisdom!

She decided to let them activate when she reaches a Milestone. The setting, unexpectedly, explained things better than the book.
Level 3 is the level where skills get really useful. Level 5 is also making them better, but at this point, they get harder to level.
Mana Manipulation is level 4 already, but only Level 3 was shown. She doesn’t know how useful it is, but it seems like a better option if she has still some skills to level. She can change to notify every Level of a skill when she is over the beginner level.

She didn’t knew about the bonus stats, but takes them gratefully.
Chloe also thinks that Intuitive Comprehension helped with the bone shaping, especially after she had this 3D Blueprint in her Mind.
And begins to think the same skill helps her to make the connection begin the easier bone shaping and rapid levelling of said skill.

Anyway, she wanted to disable the Congratulation! of her Messages, and then continue to train.

She has a long day before her and she already sweats. Good that she found out the the weird capsule in the storage room cleans her. It isn’t a shower or bath, but it least she feels refreshed.
