The Strongest Artist in Naruto

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: C2 · Enhanced Dragon

"Deidara, are you trying to get yourself killed?" Sasori said darkly, his voice low and menacing. The scorpion-like tail on Hiruko swayed ominously in the air, ready to strike at any moment. To Deidara, however, this was nothing more than a sign of his partner's rising irritation.

"It's too late to back out now, isn't it?" Deidara grinned.

The Takigakure shinobi who had been protecting the Jinchūriki of the Seven-Tails were either dead or incapacitated. Naturally, the strongest chakra signatures left standing—Sasori and Deidara—became the new targets of the berserk Jinchūriki's wrath.

A dark red chakra tail lashed out suddenly, smashing into the ground where the two Akatsuki stood moments earlier. The impact obliterated the street, sending chunks of debris flying.

"Tch, what a nuisance," Sasori muttered. He maneuvered Hiruko onto the roof of a nearby building, glaring at the rampaging Jinchūriki.

"Sasori, if you can't handle it, just leave it to me! I'll show you my art, yeah!" Deidara shot into the air atop his clay bird. His plan was clear: lure the Jinchūriki away from the town to avoid unnecessary casualties. Despite being a rogue ninja, Deidara wasn't completely indifferent to innocent lives.

"Perfect! Time to test my latest masterpiece!"

Deidara dug into his clay pouch and pulled out a massive lump of white clay. Holding it to the mouth on his face, he bit down and began chewing. Creating a bomb of this size required the extra precision of the specialized mouth.

"Coming for me, huh?" Deidara muttered, watching as the Seven-Tails' Jinchūriki charged forward, three tails of chakra already visible.

"Feast your eyes on my art! C2 · Enhanced Dragon!"

With a thunderous roar that echoed through the forest, a colossal clay dragon took to the skies. Its massive, rotund body stretched over twenty meters long, with a wingspan just as wide. Unlike the sleek, powerful image of a traditional dragon, this one looked bulky and clumsy—a design choice reflecting its true purpose. The dragon wasn't just a weapon, it was a bomb-producing factory.

[Seven-Tails' Shock Value: +800]

Even Sasori couldn't hide his surprise as he stared at the massive clay dragon that rivaled a tailed beast in size.

"So this is that brat's art… Not bad."

Deidara smirked. The system's notifications confirmed it—he'd managed to impress even a high-level shinobi like Sasori. The sense of pride was intoxicating.

"Now, let's see how you like this!"

The chakra drain was intense, beads of sweat forming on Deidara's forehead. The clay dragon soared higher into the night sky, its massive mouth opening. With a rumble, it spat out a smaller clay dragon, roughly the size of a car, which shot toward the rampaging Jinchūriki below.

The smaller dragon dive-bombed, exploding on impact with a brilliant burst of fire and light that illuminated the forest. But as the smoke cleared, the Seven-Tails emerged, unharmed. The Jinchūriki snarled, its fourth tail beginning to form.

"Tch, a direct hit wasn't enough? Well then, try this!"

Deidara activated the trap he'd planted earlier: a massive clay centipede erupted from the ground, coiling around the Jinchūriki and pinning it in place.

"Now, let's see how you handle an explosion this close!"

The centipede detonated, and for a moment, the night was brighter than day. But as the dust settled, the Seven-Tails roared once more, now sporting a fifth tail.

Sasori observed the transformation with intrigue. "Hmm… This progressive release of chakra tails is unique. Even Shukaku doesn't do this."

Suddenly, the Seven-Tails' wings twitched, chakra feathers forming rapidly. With a powerful flap, the Jinchūriki took to the sky.

"Oh, right. It can fly." Deidara smacked his forehead, realizing his blunder. The clay dragon, though powerful, was far from agile. A mid-air battle would be disastrous.

"Guess I'll have to step it up!"

Deidara performed another set of hand seals. "Secret Art: Dragon's Nest!"

The clay dragon's body began to shrink as it spat out dozens of massive white clay eggs. As they plummeted toward the ground, they hatched mid-air, revealing a swarm of smaller clay dragons of various shapes and sizes.

"Behold my masterpiece! First, the Battle Hatchlings!"

These small, sleek dragons, roughly human-sized, were built for close combat, using sharp claws and teeth to shred their enemies.

"Next!"

These larger dragons, resembling prehistoric pterosaurs, soared high and dive-bombed with deadly precision, their sharp beaks capable of piercing through armor.

"And finally, the Guardians and the Dragon Mothers!"

The Guardians, the largest of the group, were covered in white scales and designed for defense. They hovered protectively near Deidara, ready to intercept attacks. The Dragon Mothers were essentially smaller versions of the original C2 dragon, each capable of producing more explosives.

[Sasori's Shock Value: +500]

[Seven-Tails' Shock Value: +800]

The swarm of dragons surrounded the Seven-Tails, harassing it relentlessly. The Jinchūriki roared in frustration, charging a massive orb of dense, black chakra above its mouth.

"A Tailed Beast Bomb?! You've got to be kidding me!"

Deidara broke into a sweat. He quickly detonated the nearest clay dragons, trying to disrupt the bomb's formation. At the same time, he leapt back, mounting a smaller clay bird to put distance between himself and the imminent explosion.

"Boom!"

The Tailed Beast Bomb tore through the sky, heading straight for Deidara's location.

"Guess I have to sacrifice the Guardians for this one," Deidara muttered, preparing to intercept the deadly attack. "Art demands sacrifice!"

With a final shout, he triggered the explosions. The battlefield lit up once more as the fight raged on.
