The Strongest, but the Genre Is Magical Girl

Chapter 210

“Hello there!”

A few days later, the consequences of Siyeon’s poor choices.

Due to Tiara’s sudden visit to Korea, I ended up tagging along with a face like I’d just bitten into something nasty.

People are less interested in others than you’d think.

Ann, a magical girl who’s been active in the U.S., with her face all over the place.

But because she wore colored lenses, dyed her hair, and changed her hairstyle a bit before leaving the country, no one recognized her.

Or rather, unless you’re a hardcore stalker, it’s normal not to recognize her.

“Hello!”

“Oh! Nice to meet you!”

Meeting Ann at the designated spot, Siyeon greets her warmly.

By the way, this is the first time the two have met in person.

But seriously, aside from her voice, it’s like she’s a completely different person.

Hearing a familiar voice from a completely unfamiliar face—this weirdness is bizarre.

Though it was a surprise visit, there wasn’t anything particularly special planned.

Just a stroll around the local market and a meal at a common barbecue spot in the bustling area.

At this point, I wondered if it was even necessary to insist on us coming along.

When I asked about it, this was the response:

“It’s more fun to hang out with friends!”

Tiara, who visited our house once during our second year of middle school under the pretext of sightseeing in Korea.

“Last time I came, I didn’t have much time to play.”

Back then, she didn’t know much about Korea, and the various experience programs arranged by the country left almost no free time.

So, on the first day of her second visit to Korea, it seemed she wanted to fully enjoy the freedom she missed out on last time.

Thanks to no one recognizing her, we had time to breathe in the fresh air and take in the changing scenery of the streets.

As for accompanying Tiara… well, how should I put it?

“What’s that?”

“Oh, it’s a tripe restaurant.”

“Tripe?”

“Grilled intestines.”

“Sausage?”

“It’s a bit different from that…”

Having to explain everything she asked about was a bit of a hassle, but it wasn’t exactly annoying.

It felt like taking a slightly clueless younger sibling around the city.

…Though her body didn’t give off a “young” vibe at all.

Anyway, after wandering around the bustling area, it was already around 6 PM.

The early winter sunset had already darkened the sky, and the streets, livelier than during the day, stood out even more.

Then, a blunt pressure pressing against my stomach.

Inside the thick coat pocket, Gomteng was pushing against my lower abdomen with his arm.

Siyeon and I both stopped in our tracks.

“Looks like it’s out?”

“Yeah, I got the signal too.”

“What?”

As we stopped and exchanged a few words, Ann, who was following us, also stopped.

She tilted her head, saying “What?” in a local accent, clearly not understanding our actions.

Probably because they didn’t set up a signal with the mascot for when a monster appears nearby.

“Well… ugh.”

Just as I was about to explain, a mouse popped out of Ann’s pocket, cutting me off.

The creepy little mouse climbed up her coat and settled on her shoulder.

Regardless of gender, it was just plain gross.

I barely managed to suppress a scream.

“X Monster XXXXX.”

“A-ha!”

I couldn’t understand what she was muttering, but it was a fluent native-sounding English sentence.

With my middle school-level English, the only word I caught was “monster.”

More importantly, what are you going to do now that you’ve revealed yourself like that?

And Tiara, instead of just saying “A-ha,” shouldn’t you be doing something…?

In my panic, I couldn’t say anything, just gaping like a fish, my mind going blank.

Suddenly, Ann bent her knees, and one of her arms gently wrapped around my waist.

With her other arm, she did the same to Siyeon.

What are you planning? Are we doing a group dance now?

With a face full of question marks, I looked at her, and she smiled as if she had it all figured out.

“Transformation!”

With the transformation chant, she leapt into the air.

A blade-like wind, the chill of winter, brushed against my cheeks and skin.

The sensation was at least three times sharper than during a normal transformation.

If I were to slip off a building rooftop, would I feel like this?

A dizzying thrill that made me think such thoughts.

“Gyaaah!!”

“Kyaaah!”

The screams burst out uncontrollably.

I just realized how terrifying it is to be flown into the sky by someone else’s actions.

I could understand the feelings of that dog monster from the animal abuse protest a few years ago.

Flying up into the sky from the bustling streets, we clung tightly to Tiara’s now tiny body.

If I thought about it calmly, we could’ve just transformed, but when you’re too shocked, your mind just goes blank…

You just end up clinging to whatever’s around, be it objects or people.

After suddenly kidnapping us into the sky, what was she even saying…?

“Up here, no one can see us!”

Tiara proudly declared a few words.

“Ugh, what a surprise… Sun.”

With a mix of annoyance and a groan, she transformed, slapping the hollow between her chest.

I almost cursed but held back, remembering that even foreigners these days understand Korean swear words.

With the transformation, the pounding in my chest, like a hammer hitting my heart, disappeared.

Unknowingly, does transformation have a calming effect?

“Mu, mu, Moon Power, transform…”

Siyeon also stumbled over her words, barely managing to complete the transformation chant.

Released from the tight grip around my waist, I floated in the air, letting out a sigh.

“Haah.”

“That really scared me…”

As all three of us finished transforming, the alarm sounded perfectly on cue.

The people below, tiny as dots, moved sluggishly in response to the alarm, not in any orderly evacuation.

They’re going to get into big trouble one day.

Grumbling internally about people’s indifference to alarms, I was about to pull the mascot out of my pocket.

“Who wants to, defeat the monster, first, compete?”

Tiara, speaking a bit slowly, asked us step by step.

She seemed to treat the monster like a finish line or a checkpoint in a sports competition.

“Huh? Why would we…?”

Honestly, it didn’t matter to us who defeated it, so I tilted my head in confusion as I answered.

“Then, I’ll go!”

Interpreting my “Huh?” as a yes, she suddenly flew off in one direction.

Why are we even competing over this?

No matter what, someone who’s number one in the U.S. wouldn’t get beaten by a monster in this cramped backwater…

But if something went wrong, it’d be trouble for everyone, so I quickly pulled Gomteng out of my pocket.

“Hey, is it over there?”

“Yes, let’s hurry and follow?”

“I’m coming too!”

Arriving at the scene near the bustling area, a large intersection in front of a department store.

Since it was a bit away from the main area, the people had all evacuated where the monster appeared.

There, we could see Tiara, who had already jumped into battle.

“Hey, F***ing monster! Die! Die! Die!”

A young girl’s voice, usually sweet, now filled with heavy curses.

And the heavy sound reverberating through the air from her wand.

Gunshots are usually described as “bang bang” or “thud thud,” lighter than the actual sound, right?

But the gunshot pounding my ears was a heavy “thoooom.”

Thoooom…

The wand she was holding… or rather, should it even be called a wand?

Painted pink and adorned with star decorations, it looked cute, but its menacing shape was unmistakable.

A double-barreled shotgun.

A shotgun, to be precise, a double-barreled one.

‘What a uniquely styled wand.’

No wonder it’s the land of guns; even the wand looks like that.

What’s scarier is that this double-barreled shot… wand doesn’t even need bullets.

It can fire energy blasts in rapid succession—a crazy scatter wand.

The monster on the scene was already a bloody mess, unrecognizable.

“Ugh, hey…”

“Why are you covering my eyes? I want to see too!”

“If you see it, you won’t be able to eat dinner.”
