The Strongest Dark Lord

Chapter 20: Year Leader? No Challenging Duels!

(A/N: As promised, 2 extra chapters thanks to the ones who took the time to make a review, you're the best guys!)

Year Leader Challenge, a tradition unique to Slytherin.

The evening of the first day of each term, Slytherins will duel for the position of leader of their respective years.

The leader has the absolute right to speak in this grade.

Except for the first-year freshmen.

At this moment, the leaders of the other grades have stepped forward one by one.

"The first is the second grade, is there anyone who wants to do the leader challenge?"

The leader of the second grade, Eli McMillan stood up and looked at the crowd.

The second-year students shook their heads tactfully. Those who can be elected Leader are not mediocre.

Naturally, there will be no suicidal people.

The McMillan family is another member of the Sacred Twenty-Eight families.

Waiting until McMillan returns to his place.

Prefect Gemma Farley called out the heads of other grades in turn.

Snakes from other grades also did not participate in the challenge.

Lucas yawned gracefully and asked in a low voice to the side.

"Draco, how long will it take? I need to rest."

"Maybe it will take a while, cheer up Lucas, someone will definitely challenge you later."

"Oh?" Lucas raised an eyebrow.

Draco does not need to go into details.

At this moment, he noticed two malicious pair of eyes.

He looked at the two groups of people staring straight at him and asked: "Those people have hatred against you?"

Draco nodded: "That's right, it's the bastards of Rowle and the Selwyn family. The two of them have always been close."

Hearing both surnames, Lucas identified them. The Rowle and Selwyn families are also part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight families.

And these two families were very loyal to Voldemort.

Back then, when Voldemort was defeated, Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy, claimed to be under the Imperius Curse and greased a lot of hands with gold.

Thanks to this he successfully avoided the fate of going to Azkaban.

It's no wonder the two families hate Draco so much. In their eyes, the Malfoy family is a traitor among the Death Eaters.

Figuring out cause and effect Lucas looked dangerously at those people.

Loyal to Voldemort?

That is a useless person!

"First-year freshmen, now it's your turn. If you want to participate in the leader challenge, please come to the middle."

People from the two families, Rowle and Selwyn, stepped forward immediately.

They looked at Draco sitting on the sofa and said, "Draco Malfoy, you don't want to be a turtle, do you?"

"Bastard!" Draco cursed, got up and walked to the duel arena.

Lucas sighed, unable to stop him on time.

This brat, can't he see that they are just provoking him?...

At this moment, there were more than a dozen freshmen standing in the middle of the venue.

They are all people from important families.

Although the duel has not yet begun, everyone's eyes are already lingering on Lucas.

Who made his surname so eye-catching.

"First-year leader challenge, start now."

Prefect Gemma Farley had just finished speaking.

The boy of the Rowle family resorted to the dancing feet charm and Draco waved his wand with a disdainful expression.

"Finite"

With the demonstration of two people starting the fight, the other little wizards also acted.

"Densaugeo!"

"Langlock!"

"Tarantallegra!"

"Periculum!"

"Incendio!"

After all, the little wizards have only just entered school and it's already good enough that they are able to use spells.

Among them, the most powerful spell is only the fire making charm.

There's just one thing Lucas can't figure out.

Why are all these kid's curses aimed at himself?

"Protego!"

Using the shield charm to block the incoming attacks, Lucas' expression became very ugly.

If the tiger doesn't show off its power, is it treated like a sick cat? (TL: courting death! lol)

Looking at the eager eyes of the little snakes Lucas immediately drew his wand.

"Everyone, please forgive me if the retaliation is too heavy later!"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

The petrification spell quickly hit the nearest little wizard, who just fell to the ground in a daze without even having a chance of responding.

Seeing that Lucas made a move and it was a petrification curse, these little snakes are afraid.

"We are all classmates, so I will be very measured."

With that, Lucas threw a Stunning Charm.

Looking at their companions who fell to the ground the little snakes kept scolding their mothers in their hearts.

I don't know who took the lead, but we shouldn't have provoked this devil.

Seeing that no one dared to point a wand at himself, Lucas was terribly disappointed with these guys.

Now that they fired the first shot they should have the courage to face the consequences.

"Diffindo!"

Splitting a chair in pieces with the cutting charm.

Lucas waved his wand, and the fragments of the chair floated into the air and with another wave of his wand the fragments immediately turned into sharp table knives.

"Waddiwasi!"

Following the launch spell the table knives immediately flew towards a group of little snakes.

Everything happened too fast.

It was too late for the senior seniors to stop them.

Fortunately, Lucas shot very well and he just used the table knives to drive the little snakes out of the duel area.

Among the senior crowd watching the game. Fifth Grade Leader Carl O'Neill asked Leader Payne Travers, who is a year ahead of him.

"Payne, what do you think of Grindelwald?"

"If he only has this level, then it's not difficult for me to deal with him, but seeing him complete the transfiguration spells so easily, I'm afraid his strength is not limited to that."

Carl nodded, he very much approved of his friend's judgment.

At the same time, snakes from other grades were also discussing Lucas' situation.

The strength he displayed won the favor of many present.

After cleaning up these opponents, Lucas turned to look at Draco and just happened to see him end his own duel.

Looking at Lucas walking towards him, Draco smiled wryly and shook his head: "Lucas, I give up!"

After saying that, he quickly jumped out of the duel range.

Seeing this, Gemma Farley stepped forward and said: "The duel is over, and the leader of the first grade is Lucas Grindelwald!"

As soon as the voice fell, there was warm applause in the common room.

[Congratulations to the host for completing the new achievement: the beginning of a legend; reward: 100 achievement points.]

[Congratulations to the host for completing the new achievement: Bad students will fight, and every time you defeat a person, you will get 10 achievement points, total reward: 130 achievement points.]

Lucas was slightly distracted by the two beeps.

After entertaining the other leaders, Lucas came to his single dormitory.

"Since it's the first day of school, why not draw a prize."

Lucas eagerly sat down on the bed, and immediately called the system out.

At this time, in the headmaster's office on the seventh floor of the castle Dumbledore paced back and forth worriedly.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, were you looking for me?"

"Severus, come quickly, I have something very important you need to see."

Immediately afterwards, head of Slytherin House, Severus Snape walked over.
